  1. lets all do the huddle on

dont think there was any need for the disgruntlement at full time.

but the penalty farce lies squarely on the manager.

this shite should have been sorted out ages ago. if a player isnt prepared to step up and kick a ball properly then they should have been off the penalty taker list ages ago.

none of this stuttery shite. none of this stopping right before they kick the ball to see if the keeper moves or not.

step up and just kick the fkin thing towards the corner of the net, high or low.

if you dont have the ability to do that then you’re in the wrong sport

Pretty dire truth be told. Pitch like a potato field didn’t help. Disjointed, mistake-ridden and nervy.

Pass marks to Scales and CCV, as well as CalMac. Crucial ave by Joe at the end after Turnbull was shown up by his,own slovenly play. AJ had a bit of a stinker and if we’re going to deliberately nullify our own greatest threat through our system of play we might as well sit Kyogo in the North Stand next to me. He was rendered completely redundant today.

Every time we threaten to kick on this season we turn in another stinker. And home firm is particularly poor.

    Must do better.

A very unpleasant post, last 2 lines. Surprised at you.

    I’m sorry I’ve disappointed you

    Tom and I have history

We disagreed many many moons ago when he went by the name Gold Coast Tom

I never knew he held a grudge

*fully concur here, I’ve lost several family members and friends due to this dreadful disease and still have some in the early stages, honestly get a grip its so hun like

Sorry hit send too soon. Sadly today’s performance was a lot more like the normal for this season. We appear to be waiting for the Brendan 2.0 to turn into a team, I’m afraid it ain’t happening.

Just for the record, I have noted over the past few weeks a trend by some on here to have a go at non controversial posts I make. I even had one guy tell me to “go do one” when I commented on his music post. Now the only previous interaction I ever had with this chap was about music. It was clear to see he had taken instruction from one of his poster friends not to interact with me. When I asked him why he should say that to me he couldn’t answer.

If someone has a go at me for no reaso then I’ll bite back. Wouldn’t you?

I don’t remember us having history , so no grudges on my part.

And I do t remember saying we’d sell Matt

Can you guide me to said post?

Haven’t a clue what you are talking about. Please do not involve me with your interactions with other posters. I shall not engage with you again. We’ll both get over it.

  10. A very poor imitation of Celtic Team’s performance of last 2 seasons… as if Football has been coached out of our players

  11. 31003’s Dementia remark should be deleted, we can all get emotional & upset & at times say the wrong thing, if so just hold your hand up say sorry and ask that it be deleted,

Game was extremely disappointing but as someone has already said if Bernardo had netted the sitter & Palma had scored from his twice taken penalty, we would most likely have won by 6.c

There is little doubt that the surface at Celtic Park is a problem and is not helping us, we generally play better away which is a bit unsettling.

I take it I should bin my invite to the next Shipbank session?

  13. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Just home from game.

    Job done. 3 points.

Full time whistle was best part of the game.

Looked like the squad were out on an all night bender.

(With Calum and Cameron not invited)

I’m all for the squad bonding … but pick your moments boys.

  14. A timely reminder to our board – 4 of our next 5 league games in the next month are away from home. Aberdeen (a), Hibs (a), St Mirren (a), Killie (h) and Motherwell (a).

If we don’t do what’s needed in the next 5 days, we could be in a very troubling position come the end of February.

    Tom

Apologies for the dementia post. It was out of order

    TOTALLY OUT OF ORDER

  16. Forget quality, if you are outrun by Ross County at home then you’re in trouble.

They looked like they had more energy than us all the way through the game.

If we win 1-0 with 71% possession, and with a striker who touched the ball a couple if times all game I wouldn’t suggest we need a new striker left back or keeper. We need players who can break down a packed defence

  17. Brendan should ban anyone passing the ball to CCV in the opposition half

Every team we play sits off him and lets him have the ball

  18. CORKCELT

I keep saying the same thing but it’s like a broken record in my head…….lf only

  19. A very forgettable performance. Maybe a blessing in disguise that we didn’t score more as it may keep minds focused on the need to improve the squad and the squad focused on keeping their focus!!

Both full backs were frustrating me today. Bernabei has some flashes of really good play and technique but zero composure and very little tactical or positional awareness. Johnston just needs to start doing the basics better, mainly sort out his passing.

I watched a bit of the zombies midweek and today. Major difference with them and us is that, despite our performance not being up to it, you can see our patterns of play and some structure in our attacking play. Our players are technically better too. They seem to rely on chaos as an attacking strategy. Kick and rush football. It doesn’t look like a well coached set up but I am horrendously biased so I might be seeing what I want to see.

    Interesting week ahead

  20. Poor performance but affected, l’m sure, by that pitch. Hinders our quick movement.

As was said, if the sitter wasn’t missed, if the penalty had been converted it might have been a cricket score.

  21. Then after Feb, 3 of our next 5 games are also away – hearts, Livi and the Huns.

3 home games and 7 away in the next 10. The fixture list is bizarre but that’s what we’ve got. We’ve the resources and time to get ourselves in shape.

If not, the Huns will have CL football and you can be sure they’ll spend that money.
