What a great place to be with one game to go in 2016 – I ‘d hoped for it but I didn’t think we’d get the degree of consistency we’ve had. At some stage, injuries could change our season dramatically but we’ve given ourselves some breathing space and BR has brought cover and competition to every position in the team – what an achievement! And we’ve still got the January transfer window to go – who knows, we could bring in a better player.
Saturday should be good. New rangers are much improved since we last saw them but are still a limited team in terms of clinical quality. We only beat them by one goal last time, however we are far better team and squad now. Looking forward to the winning streak continuing.

HAMILTONTIM,
I think its to commemorate the time that the then Rangers failed to act on Safety Advisors reports about “Stairway 13”.This failure to act, caused the deaths of 66 rangers fans on a New Years game at Ibrox.
Yeah I got the gist but for me Wenger is a failure in that he’s won berry little with the resources he has,
As for our defence, we finally have a settled pairing in the Central area, big Lustig has played well this seasonin whatever position he has been asked to play while Izzie and Gamboa appear to be our weakest link in a string defence. With KT to come back, a lad who is a Celtic supporter playing for his heroes it’s unlikely he will leave any time in the next 4 years IMO. He’ll want to play fir Celtic under Brendan and learn his role for the foreseeable in the hoops. The way we play now with passing across the back 4 attempting to draw out parked buses we are always liable to the occasional mistake but I can live with that. And with Broony in the side he always makes a great fifth defender when required drawing back covering defenders out if position and when we have a corner or free kick.
Right now we are almost getting MOM performances from Broony,Armstrong, Rogic, Jozo and Eric every game. Eric’s height is not an issue as his reading if the game is so go and him and Jozo are forming a formidable central position. These guys are still all relatively young in football terms, Broony apart.
I’m happy with what I am seeing right now.
We need to be a little more consistent in front of goal though with regards chances to goals ratio.
It’s great watching this team/squad form, learn and put into practice Brendan’s instruction. We are only going to get better and I trust BR’s decisions on field and on any transfer in or out he seems necessary. I only hope now that all decisions are 100% his with support from above.

The amount of rules that come to birth when this lot of cheating b……s are involved are astounding, honest ti f… I swear the make them up as the go along.
Rob Kiernan looks like escaping retrospective punishment for a televised punch because SFA Compliance Officer Tony McGlennan is on holiday!
The Sevco defender had a night to forget as he set up St Johnstone’s equaliser in a 1-1 draw and punched Stevie Anderson in front of the BT Sport cameras.
Referee Crawford Allan also missed the incident and according to a report in The Sun Kiernan will escape retrospective punishment because McGlennan is on holiday.

It seems incredible that a high profile well funded organisation like the SFA are unable to apply justice within 24 hours for a referee’s honest mistake although the cynics may suggest that allowing the former Yeovil and Accrington star to play against Celtic on Saturday is a club punishment.

— Bazlightyear (@Bazlightyear88) December 28, 2016
Speaking after the match Anderson told The Sun: “Kiernan punching me? It was a corner and he caught me in the ribs. Brian Easton saw it as well. It was a clear punch.
“If that’s the way he wants to play, it’s up to him — but he’s going to get done for it.
“You can’t do that in football games. If it gets highlighted then he deserves it.
“There was nothing happened before it. I was marking him at a corner and there was a bit of argy bargy — then he punched me.
“The referee said he did not see it and you can understand it because there was a lot going on in the box. The linesman has probably not seen it either.”
Kiernan is apparently a £2m transfer target for Fulham but even the hyped up English market will realise that a deal could probably be done with one zero dropping off that figure.
