I would take Paddy on loan again if that is the only option available. However, at the end of next season he would go back to Citeh and that will be that, probably. Realistically Moussa will go next summer and we will be in the same boat with Armstrong entering his final year. Simunovic seems to have aspirations of playing down south so he may go too. Who knows what will happen with KT and Rogic will be in the last year of his deal. Brown and Lustig will be a year older and you cant keep going to the well with those two.
So, three important transfer windows coming up including this one. In Brendan we trust.

I saw a post earlier appearing to cast aspersions on Conor McGregor because he didn’t finish his apprenticeship/ was a crap plumber…..
I’m sure he regrets that decision every single day, and so will his family, probably for generations to come.
Well done Conor. You let no-one down and did a helluva lot better than many gave you any chance of doing.

Have to say that if the reports that Paddy deal is another loan then I’m underwhelmed. Why waste money on a loan deal to help City to get more for him when they inevitably sell him in the next summer? Surely buy a wide right player and develop him for Celtic is a better option.
Permanent deal, or loan with agreement to buy should be only options if he’s coming back.

16 Roads: Cheers. Dublin are dominant at the moment and rightly so because they play at a level way better than everyone else. It wasn’t always that way so I’m just enjoying it for what it is.
Mayo are the best of the rest but I just don’t think they are good enough to beat us. If they do, I’ll be the first to congratulate them.

Petec, Collum was unnecessarily close to the play when we had possession , once blocking a pass we were playing out of defence plus had to jump out of the way a few other times.
He like most of ours refs and their unofficial boss , Shuggie Dallas , are one of the blights on Scittish football.

My resentment towards Wee Wullie Winkie, grows with every Celtic game he officiates. He is good at ‘game management’ like his big friend Thompson. Yesterday was terrible refereeing, from the first minute when Davidson got sparkled , and he never stopped play, incompetent wee guy at his job.

If we’re successful we’re always going to rebuilding. 99% of players are always going to want to move to England. I don’t blame them. The money, the prestige, the opportunities that open up if they are successful. Here the CL is a draw but isn’t guaranteed. The qualifiers are fraught with danger and If we get there, then it is likely to be only be 6 games and out. Times have moved on from just a decade ago and the gap to the elite clubs is getting ever wider.
Even if we signed Roberts on a 4 year contract, I think we get maximum 2 years, maybe only 1. Armstrong could have played out the last year of his contract and made the money he misses out on back in wages and signing on fee so he’s done us a favour signing a new deal. Jozo has 2 years left to go so if he doesn’t get a new contract now is the ideal time to sell from a contract viewpoint, but our problems at centre half should make that an impossibility.
We have to understand where we are in the food chain. Southampton are a bigger attraction and they can’t keep hold of their players. Liverpool, Dortmund and particularly Arsenal all having problems with keeping their stars.
It is the restraints of the league we play in. Until such point as there is a restructuring in Europe we just have to try and stay relevant, and getting to the CL is essential for doing so. Quality players will leave and it gets harder to replace them. Enjoy them while they are here.
