You have to ask who supports these bigots, and why they get away with it.

Protected by politicians and the police. It is the state that enforces this bigotry on me and you, our family and friends. Personally ive got nothing but contempt for Scotland, i dont identify with it in any way, its not my culture. They can GTF:)

Nothing but a bigoted cesspit of corruption.

Davie Cooper had the same view as Jimmy Bell when Maurice Johnston avoided filling in his P86 form (tax avoidance) that was not evasion back then :-)

Cooper didn’t want to share a dressing room with his “sort”

Scotland is a Protestant country (not all proddies are bad I married one of the best) it’s where we live, as a daft teenager I disliked Scotland but the older I get I love where I live, the OO parades are a total embarrassment but not one MP will challenge the Church of Scotland vote, but things are definitely getting better, I live in hope :-)

“When asked when they were first made aware of the looming RFC admin RM responded,” the day before they filed for administration”. (February 2012). Both Neil Doncaster and Rod McKenzie denied specifically knowing any earlier than this beyond rumours in Scottish Football.”

    ============

In addition to the points you made had the question to McKenzie been

” In the first week in Oct 2011 did you have a conversation with Gary Withey of Rangers about a situation at Rangers that you then discussed with Neil Doncaster who had an appetite for addressing the situation, the outcome of which was to draw an outline plan covering payments and the rules on SFA membership and what was the basis of that conversation and did it relate in any way to the circumstances that led to Rangers going into administration?

A question on those lines, perhaps being even more specific, could of course only be asked if you follow the notion of only ever asking a question you already know the answer to.

They bloody knew 4 months before the train hit the buffers what track it was on.

16 roads , Mick McCarthy may not have been one of greats but I really liked his no nonsense approach and is a great guy going by his interviews.

He s probably the most honest of all football managers and got what playing for Celtic means.

Its religious extremism and a sectarian ideology that is the problem here, not Protestant people, but bigots.

People like Ruth Davidson and Douglas Ross and the rest of their Tory Klan. These bigots in positions of power give carte-blanch to the f/wits hassling schoolkids in the central station during the week. Its hatred.

However, we all know they are cowards, and that is how they work. I know how to deal with them:)

Delaney’s and Gerry, my pal who used to work in the press , interviewed Cooper around 1984/85 and he stated he was quite in extreme in his views.

My pal interviewed him in his second year at Motherwell, finding him less extreme and mellow with regard to us. He was bigging up Tom Boyd and other Celtic fans in the Motherwell team much to my pal’s surprise .

I can only talk about my experience, its dying out, am 47 back in the late 80s & 90s from the two schemes that I grew up in (still stay in) would have had 20 bands leaving from 20 different houses, my good lady used to book us to ho away for the weekend as she thought I turned into an eijits, but these days I would rather laugh at them, this July I think there was 4 bands, but as you say why this is still allowed is beyond me…. they are clinging to their hatred, but I always think good overcomes evil, so glad I was born a Tim :-)

  17. if you get a chance, listen to the latest cqn podcast and aidso digney of eire go bragh csc interview about his mate kidso reilly.. i didnt know kidso myself but i know the respect a lot of people had for him.. a powerful interview about an ordinary celtic fan killed by the british army in belfast.

Dunky McKay’s son, also Duncan, was an honoured guest as his dad’s proxy at the commemoration of James Kelly, Celtic’s first captain, held at St Peter’s cemetery New Stevenston last season.

They both, as you intimated, live in Australia now and young Duncan joked that his dad had told him before his flight to remind Jim Craig that he had pinched his job.

I remember the 1967/68 game at Highbury mainly because of the hooliganism of the Rangers fans on the north bank. They threw empty bottles up at the roof which splintered down onto the Arsenal fans heads, because of this, this fixture was not played again at Highbury till Nigel Winterburn’s testimonial. A truly scary experience that day.

Name Withheld 14 June 2016 at 3:23 pm

I was 12. I’d been to Arsenal matches before, but I’d been too small to stand up till now so this was my very first visit to the North Bank. I went with my Uncle Fred who’d been attending Arsenal games since the 1920s. Shortly after half time the Rangers fans started chucking bottles into the roof. There were over 60,000 people in the ground – ie it was totally choca – and yet a gap opened up on the terraces probably fifty yards wide as glass showered down onto the crowd below. Uncle Fred put his jacket over my head as he dragged me to safety. It was a very very scary introduction.

  25. I had the pleasure of watching Dunky McKay in the early 60s and he was a cultured full back in the days Bobby Shearer of Rangers was of a different kulchur altogether.
