Don’t know about the Radio Shortie guy getting excited in the last few mins but I nearly had a coronary !

Excellent first half high-tempo performance.
Very flat second half display. Euro hangover?
Another observation:
after they scored and FF(lying on the deck) was being assaulted by two St J neds, the first player on the scene to offer ‘hauners’ was Virgil – pushing players out the way and making his presence felt. I like that. Noticed that about him a few times.
Three points on the board.

The lads almost fell for fitba’s equivalent of rope-a-dope. St Johnstone were simply keeping the score low in the first half. They did that successfully. Neil (and some players) thought it was in the bag. Changes were made. Pace slowed and St Johnstone risked some activity up front. This rope-a-dope reminds me of the AC Milan game and how it went. Not a frequent or popular strategy but nevertheless a strategy.
It really is all about tactics isn’t it? Don’t you think?

I dont know if we tired in the second half but the changes of personnel and positional changes did not work for us Biton looked lost and that really left us with only Broonie in centre mid-field and Saints took control. We then got a bit casual and after Saint Johnstone scored we lost our composure and started to flap at the back. The good thing is we hung on and got the 3 points it was in my opinion the typical game of two halves. H.H.

Despite the obvious positives,
I think it’s quite apparent that the team needs to learn to
build from positions of strength.
I’d imagine this scenario will be played out again many times…
Two goals all very comfortable till you concede…
Need to push for that ‘all important third’
Be cynical.
More clinical.
Well, that’s what I’d like to see.
Efe and Virgil continuing to impress.
Both look so comfortable in possession.
As did Biton, I was impressed by his distribution.
Shame Pukki didn’t get the 90, but he’d played his part.
Looks like he’ll settle in no time, seems to be on a similar wavelength.
Derk on the verge of being influential.
I’d imagine once he’s made some telling contributions,
he’ll feel more comfortable and we will see some true quality.
Oh dear, that must be the worst ever on the predictor, still a few game teh morra >}

First half a great result for The Happy Clappers, however the Mineshafters made a great recovery to take the 2nd half. Let the bitching begin.

I like the look of St. Johnstone’s Brian Easton. Apparently a boyhood Tim.
Would be good cover for Izzy.
Any thoughts on this, before I go “outwith” for a pre-match “All-Ireland” bevy?

Brian Easton provided me with a chuckleworthy moment season before last hen he was playing for Burnley against Derby. It was fair to say he was carrying a bit of weight. At one point he failed to catch a ball played at speed from midfield to him on the left wing at which point the guy behind me shouted at full bellow ” If it was a pie ye’d a caught ya fat B******”

Yup, Easton is the same player. I like him…. good defensively and not afraid to go forward.
We need cover at left back and apparently Leighton Baines is not available. Check out the West Ham- Everton game and you will see what I mean about Baines.

Ian McColl, Gordon Dalziel, Gus MacPherson, Derek Johnstone, Fraser Wishart.
Any common linkage? They have just stopped even attempting to disguise their bias.
Truly unbelievable as these guys all try to get Daniel Lennon bagged while defending Swally and his need for extra time to fairly judge him.
Radio off.
More importantly a very good three points today after our midweek efforts.

Looks like Clyde is a nice wee earner for players from the old club that played in the SPL.
I guess they need all of them to produce a single coherent thought.
Great start to the game today with pukki getting his home debut goal and the team get off to a flyer after wednesday..thought chico muldini was fantastic in the midfield and thats where our game changed and didnt recover.biton did ok derk didnt do enough for me but the team had a great ballance in that first half, but an important 3pts that we wernt getting enough of last year at this stage..the bhoys i’m sure will get better with game time h.h

Delighted you took the time to watch the movie, and hope you enjoyed it? Excellent and touching film.
Also a big seconded to your posts afterwards today. BMCUW is right about the unspoken reaction. I shared your exact thoughts on the subject. Irony for me was, there was nothing of any substance to any of it, and the muppet only succeeded in, as BMCUW said, marking his own cards. That kind of failed slander reminds me of a certain type of mentality.
