If you think you’re getting edgy about the lack of signings, the latest article on E-TIMS is incandescent!

Why all the angst about lack of signings?

Did anyone honestly think that once the season books were sold that there would be sudden departure from the strict fiscal prudence that demands money in before money out.

I find it surprising how much Scott Brown has aged over the close season! He has just turned 32.

I genuinely didn’t know he genuinely didn’t know!

And he wasn’t kidding either about Charles Patrick being his all-time favourite player.

Still,he always manages to remember my Mum’s birthday. That’s the important thing, and why he’s still alive!

Enjoy yer day, bud. Enjoy yer smashing companions. Enjoy yer cloudy cider anaw. If I got one of them,I’d send it back(!)

BTW check my Open bet and actually had Stenson to win at 30/1 so thank you Henrik and thank you PP for the odds ;-)

  5. I know of no other company that has gone into liquidation that has been allowed to continue using the same name and trademarks, ie crest, strip.

Although it is not the main aim of res 12, I hope a consequence of it is that they are forced to rebrand their sham of a club.

Well, the extra 20k season tickets and match day spend per head that goes with that should have seen around £15m added to the top line.

I take your point though. It now seems that the extra income is destined for the bottom line.

I remember The Who playing Celtic Park forty years ago. Seems we have forgotten the warning from one of their anthems.

  7. GFTB,

Happy Birthday, I believe that today was also Nelson Mandela’s birthday.

    Hail, Hail to you.

Mats supposing you were to cease posting for some time – ah joy

    —————————————

Why are you playing the man rather than the ball ?

    Hail, Hail to you.

Macjay Onemalloy Bognorbhoy cheers birthdays are over rated having an excuse to take a Monday off work far more important

    BMCUWP

Only started drinking cider last couple of years the lager on holiday wasnt cold enough, I am no expert but wee place we are going for grub does a nice pint of the cloudy stuff, have never tasted Guiness in my whole life don’t trust liquid that I can’t see through :-)

  10. Gerryfaethebrig on

Greenpinata you are correct about Nelson Mandela being at high school in the early 80s I was chuffed to share his birthday

  11. For those expecting new signings, I fear you will be disappointed. Our squad is to big already. Brendan has already said this. I expect maybe one signing and a lot of players either being sold out loaned out. If we manage to do that, then Brendan can start building his own team in January.

CL qualification would be amazing, but it may be beyond us at this stage. I’m hopeful for EL groups though, and build from there.

  12. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    MATS

While you make a valid point, just remember why the squad is full of unmovable objects.

And also that this is the fourth qualifying session in a row-at least-that our manager has not had signings in place.

We got away with it once, everyone breathed a huge sigh of relief and assumed that lessons had been learned.

You reference The Labour Party on occasion. Remember Bevan’s quote about being sent naked into the conference chamber? It is done every year to our manager.

  13. Twist n Turns,

you can do forecasts in the golf, maybe just the majors though, Stenson and Mickelson paid 450/1 as a dual forecast with my lot

  14. Of course The League title is the main we should be aiming for domestically. Hearts an Aberdeen will push us but we should still prevaile.

    Thems, relegation battle.

  15. O.G.RAFFERTY on 18TH JULY 2016 10:00 AM

And these idiots are writing it up as if in praise of Murray.”Rangers could have signed Ronaldo”headlines.

The madness that put them in their grave summed up in one article.

  16. GFTB

Happy birthday, Gerry. Hope you have a nice prawn sanny in the Bammy washed down with a glass of

    Coarbrig’s finest wine !

  17. Ronaldo ‘nearly joined Rangers’

As did every other superstar according to level 5

  18. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    BOGNORBHOY

IIRC,Murray was spouting his moonbeams about having three teams available to his manager.

One to win the league and qualify for the CL.

    Another to win it.

And a third for the diddy tournaments.

When I read it,I said to my mates back home that he was clearly a lying bastard who couldnae be trusted when faced wi a potential publicity opportunity.

As he would have had to spend a grand for every Fergus Fiver.

Of course,I diplomatically glossed over the fact that he was a delusional fantasist.

    That time,at least.

  19. embramike says "the Huns are Deid" on

On Jozo, we know how Celtic always look for value when buying a player, so spending in excess of £3m means they saw something in him. He only managed 18 games until his injury was identified,

Simunovic : “I hope I will recover for August. I played when I was injured for a month and a half with a fractured bone in my right knee.”

He has been back home in Croatia doing a tough 2 month rehab under a top expert so fingers crossed we see the addition of a top central defender to our squad in time for our European group stage.

  20. BOBBY MURDOCH’S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS

How desperately desperate do you need to be to run a story saying ” we nearly signed a superstar in the 90’s”

Feck me it must be totally embarrassing being a sticky and waking up to that:

    ROTFL

  21. This is the whole point Murray’s team of tax cheats should have had all titles stripped. Imagine if they had won the UEFA even. They would still be crowing about it now. They would have a fake replica in their cheats cupboard. ¡

  22. Mrs TB nagging at me to take the Dug a walk on the beach.I said to said Dug,”Right get your leash,we are going a walk”Got my flip flops on,turned round, and the Dug has legged it.No way she is going out in that heat.Instead I just made a sandwich, and took an ice cold beer from the fridge.Mrs TB giving me the eyes.I really love that Dug.

  23. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    STARRYPLOUGH

Especially when the “we” they refer to is “was”

As has been said, they are still celebrating the processes which killed them. I really canny get my head round that at all.

  24. O.G.RAFFERTY on 18TH JULY 2016 11:34 AM

Sevco nearly won the Scottish Cup.

    But they didnae

Aye,and I nearly took the Dug for a walk,

    but ah did”nae.

  25. BOBBY MURDOCH’S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS

I guess it’s a bit like trying to understand a necrophiliac:))

Somebody should really update Ronaldo’s Wikipedia and among the glittering array of his football achievements write ” nearly signed for Rangers”

Ho Ho Ho it’s a never ending source of merriment laughing at the huns!

  26. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

The usual sub-glacial pace of recruitment from Celtic. I just hope it’s not the usual outcome. It’s amazing to me they get away with this same dross every summer. Jam tomorrow….
