I’m sure he enjoyed it anyway. When I was there,it was S&N,Federation or Vaux. And I usually avoided the latter
Good luck wi the promos. I’ll stick to Guinness or Magners down here. Local brews are disadvantaged by the poor quality water-like chewing a brick, there’s that much chalk in it!

What a performance by the young man, 10 wickets! He couldn’t throw a tantrum earlier today but did the business when it mattered. Great sport and well deserved win, sets the series up nicely.

Saltires En Sevilla,
I take your point re the different threads. It will be a big test this year with Sevco in the league and all the shenanigans there. That coupled with Celtic PLC and whatever we have been doing in a number of areas such as recruitment, Res 12, executive bonuses, etc. This could be a very challenging year here.
What about the Red Imps CEO, has he got time off from his day job this week too?
Must be a hellish job for the poor guy, what with the gibraltar league being in the shadow of the neighbouring Portuguese, Spanish and Andorran leagues. God knows how they can ever tempt players to Gibraltar. And having to come up against teams with much more resources in Europe too, why do they bother, they should just give up. It’s too hard.
Still I’m sure the red imps CEO is worth every penny of his salary and bonus.
Very warm and human speech from Henrik Stensson, well done sir. Top marks to Phil Mickelson who seemed to be telling Henrik to enjoy the moment, great sport.
Not my favourite sport but I do understand how good these guys are.

Well done Henrik, a wee bit gutted had a 50p Yankee on 4 ties all 15/2, Garcia/Reed beat, Z Johnson/Jimenez & Schwartzel/Bradley up, needed Henrik to beat Phil by 1 and not 3……

The Imps should not be allowed over the half way line into our half on Wednesday the full team should be fined for every time they manage to do so.We should play two strikers and get the ball into there penalty area as often as we can and see if we can panic there defence.Celtic need to get it into there heads that this is a mis-match and make up for the first leg flop there should be no side ways or back passes we need to go for the jugular. H.H.

We asked everyone about that when discussing the re-design of CQN around 18 months ago. The general consensus was that only comments should be allowed after Paul’s blogs.
We generally post another 5 or 6 articles / news stories every day and comments are locked.
I don’t think it would work to open these up. Nor do I think we could easily create separate threads as you suggest.
It was a complicated business building the site as it is to account for the wishes of the majority who provided feedback.
Numbers wise the site has gone from 110k unique users per month to over 250k and the articles/ news stories are attracting substantially the majority of the audience.
We are trying to offer a free Celtic quick news service. This plus the server costs, photography, writing etc are paid for by the ads on the site. That’s family setting ads and those issues will be resolved tomorrow. I have had assurances in this over the weekend.
When we carried the Res 12 update a week or so ago over 46,000 logged in at or around 6pm. That is a record. The old servers would have crashed but the much bigger capacity new ones coped with ease.
We actually have some plans to launch similar Quick News sites for English teams and have built 4 sites already. These aren’t available to view yet but have the same structure as CQN.

Setting up a forum based CQN would cost pennies (though obviously money would be needed for the server side of things).
Number of viewers are different to the number of posters, which we all know is about 20 :o)

How true, sun has just gone back under the leaden blanket….back indoors for me.
Marvellous putt from Stenson. Fitting way to win a Major.
Mickelson was really unlucky with his putting today,so close so many times.
Two fine performances. They can each hold their head high.
