Ad Blocker has just got rid of all the diddies that were infesting this site.

    Well, most of them, anyway:-))

If it ain’t broke……if the ad’s annoy some try and ignore, if the subject matter doesn’t suit scroll by, no way to please everyone, my iPad & iPhone stick regularly but thankfully it means I can then actually read my post and change before I hit “post comment” personally the wee annoyances are worth it……

By the way my browsing history must be rubbish but at least I never got any of those Sevco offers when they were doing the rounds

I liked the way the warm up has changed, yesterday it was more structured with the starting 11 getting a series of stretching exercises and sprints.

Regarding simo, I’m working with a Croat. Knows a lot about European game, said very corrupt in Croatia (we’re isn’t I suppose ) mentioned the Croatian FA own most players so a lot of average players get international caps only to enhance there value to be sold on to bigger leagues in Europe.

    Hopefully we haven’t been had

    A bit like Scotland then?

  6. Listening to a US republican congress Representative about baton rouge.

It’s frightening listening to someone in a position of power who seems to have no idea of the causes and possible solutions to the growing crisis in the states.

i am genuinely afraid for the future.

    MELCHESTER QUICK NEWS

    * Roy Race to Captain side for the seventy-fifth year in succession

    * Blackie Grey in race slur

    * Going for 80

  8. Well done to Henrik. Watched those 2 all afternoon and 63 and 65 is just brilliant stuff under extreme pressure. Phil played a cracking round of golf that would very rarely be on the losing side and was a real sportsman today but Henrik was magnificent and thoroughly deserved his first major title at the age of 40.

  9. Joe filippi – I’d suggest that it’s the kind of game where our full backs should be in their box as much as our front 1 or 2.

    Absolutely no excuses for weds.

  10. Just think 250k reading just this site. Bet that competes with most big EPL teams, probably beats most of them.

Mickelson’s -17 would have won 141 of the 145 British opens ever played (not my quote but something I stole from another site)

Sky golf is rubbish…come back bbc all is forgiven…

BTW…who are all the vegetarians calling out “Beef”?

Turkeybhoy…when are you going to calm down. You will give yourself an ulcer?

Ha ha ha,not me mate. When I was writing that today I was sitting on my terrace, beautiful ice cold wine, looking out at a perfectly calm Aegean Sea,with my music on.I am totally chilled out here permanently.

What I was saying was true.I had never really thought anything of Shane Duffy, saw him a few times, instantly forgot him. Now,because he is somehow, for no reason, flavour of the month,we MIST buy him.Not only that, some saying we need to buy TWO centre halfs.I am not getting worked up,I find it funny, bordering on lunacy, some of the things I read on here.

Today’s drive to the north coast of Pico, took us off the tourist trail to a couple of small villages within the “vine pens” (my phrase). Copious amounts of black volcanic rock are made into dry stone dykes, creating little squares of land into which vines are planted. They make wine here. We stopped at a……. Bar……….for want of a better word. Really just a converted barn with a few curious locals. I had a beer, Mrs H, as she was driving, had an espresso. Total price for both drinks = €1.20.

To think I thought that I was getting bargain beers for €1.60 in the tourist towns. Pah! Rip off.

Wettest day we have endured since we arrived. Suddenly reminded we are in the middle of the Atlantic.

Currently waiting on a break in the showers to head out for a few drinks in the costly tourist bars of Madalena ;)))

  14. Question

I noticed at game yesterday it was the old Physio team/ doctor who attended to Svietchenko

Has the 12 Norwegians Ronny had brought in been removed ?

And so the whispers and smears against Simunovic continue.

It so happens,I know a Croatian guy.He also knows everything there is to know about football. He reads this site regularly, and he says I am the only one who talks sense.

  16. There is a Musical scheduled from 20th to 24th September at the Gaiety Theatre Dublin based on the Celtic Club. To the best of my knowledge it features our early History & sporting achievements & includes all the well known songs and chants associated with the Club. Not surprisingly the show is called “Celtic the Musical”.

I am just wondering is this a totally new show or has it done the rounds before and if so has anyone seen it.

Jobo is your standing area reporter but by all accounts it was impressive, not sure about the crowd but pictures showed around 30k ?

Am sure on Wednesday there will be a clearer picture of both

Callum McGregor is now a must start, that bhoy pushes us up the park and unlike others isn’t scared to have a dig (I didn’t rate him when he came back from Notts Co but shows what I know)

Not a smear at all, I’m looking forward to the big guy returning and hopefully cementing his place.

Just a discussion I thought I would share because clogher celt seems to be talking abit about agents and companies who own players .

Your not far wrong, Dallas Dallas junior is on holiday just now but will be back for Wednesday and by all accounts can’t wait for his new ST in the standing area, father Dallas Dallas might be a bit sad that his bhoy is now ditching him to join Jobo & co :-)

  27. The new standing area was more impressive than I anticipated. Might need to bring foward my antipiated hernia operaion but hey ho.

Henrik / Phil – the best final round head to head performance of this century! To go into the fianl round, one behind, shoot a 65 and still lose by 3 – well. you know the other guy was just brilliant!

    Just got your message.

I’ve been working all morning, but free this afternoon.

I’m going to get in the car right after posting this and head for the Tropicana. I’m probably about 45 mins to an hour out from parking in your hotel garage.

I’ll keep checking in to see if you reply on my way there.

Can’t stay long as I have an work appointment later on that I can’t afford to miss unfortunately.

I’m emailing my mobile number again, give us a call if you have access to a phone.

    See you soon.

  29. My friends in Celtic,

Good to hear that the different thread forum has currently been ruled out. In my opinion different threads is a backward step, as one of the more positive aspects of CQN is its diversity in subjects. Celtic and football in general is not immune from the consequences of current affairs. It is right imo that we discuss these topics.

Different threads won’t prevent unacceptable language and personal insults, but will result in increased cliquishness.

It is also my opinion that far too often, certain posters are attacked for who they are and not what the content of their post is. Many of us have posted some articles we have regretted at some point,. Collectively we should show some consideration and self regulation and respect the very simple blog rules and protocol.

    Hail, hail.

  30. TH and GFTB ( and Hobo if that info was for me! )

    Thank you both.

If the Seating Map is to be believed there are no ST left ( apart from Family Area thingy) and only three seats available for the Red Imps game!

  31. ‘Beef’ has just bought some of the staff – including Miss Tally – in the Marine Hotel in Troon a drink.

Totally agree, I very rarely read back more than a few pages (sometimes just checking I haven’t annoyed anybody) Cqn in my short time on here goes through good and bad stages, it’s a blog so any comments about any subject within reason must be ok….. Am still of the opinion the good far outweighs the bad and the more people posting good stuff will always outweigh the bad stuff
