Christie reward, don’t make eye contact

467

Brendan Rodgers would be happy to have given pretty much his entire first team squad a run-out yesterday. I’d expect a similar usage of the squad in Ljubljana on Wednesday but Saturday’s game against Maribor.

There’s seldom anything more than fitness to take from these games but when a young player scored what proves to be a winner, it’s likely to matter more. Ryan Christie looked stressed at the end of last season when five Celtic players scored before he – when playing as striker – got on the scoresheet. Yesterday’s win against Sturm Graz will count for Ryan.

So Bayer Leverkusen are after Efe Ambrose. Not surprised at that one. Surprise isn’t an appropriate word, not at all. Everyone just look at your shoes, don’t make eye contact, poker faces, please.

  1. Hola my friends froo an already warm and clear skied Xavia. Me and Mrs B’s last full day here for what has been one of our best ever holidays. I’d ighly recommend this place to anyone – just as CM67 (get posting ya lurker!) did to me.

Golfing over Edinburgh way this Friday and no doubt the weather might be rather different.

£6m for Biton? I’d take that. Slow as a week in the jail and never seen within 20 yards of Scott Brown or the full backs he should have been helping out. Good shot and nice Zidane turn makes for a good scouting video though.

With all this talk of Ibrox crumbling and in such a bad state, shouldn’t there be questions raised again about who owns it? I mean King raised the spectre of renaming Murray Park but when will he address the Ibrox issue? Should be easy enough to confirm if they have the relevant safety certificate but the deeds?

So are you scrolling past the ‘pish’ or are you reading it?

And for the record I don’t get paid for posting on here.

I do however wonder whether some other posters might have a financial interest in some of the goods and services they promote. Like a particular brand of blood sausage, for example.

Amazing how we are looking forward to the season kicking off

Is the rumour true that park ( it wasn’t my fault it was Peter ) and Lawell ( it wasn’t my fault it was john ) have been spotted in the gardening section of B+Q :))) Sooner these two failures are gone the better

  13. Did Peter Lawell steal Sydneytims dinner money when they were kids or something? This is a proper obsession, bet he has a ‘special’ room for Lawell back home.

  17. Any of you gambling bhoys/Ghirls had a look at our new main sponsors (Dafabet) betting website?

Out of curiosity, I had a look on Sunday – with the thought that I may open up a new account (purely due to connection with Celtic).

Poor first impression resulted in me NOT signing up. Saved myself money as it happens , as I was going to bet France to beat Iceland 2-0.

    Why? How?

Well, on their main page, they have a “Euro 2016 Price Boost” link.

Upon using link, they should 4 bets on offer with Enhanced Odds.

One of these was France to win 2-0, advertised as “NOW 15/2 – was 6/1”.

However, when I clicked on the offer link, it opened another page with the bet offered as “NOW 6/1 – was 9/2”??

I went back to see if 15/2 offer was amended, but no – it was still being advertised on their Price Boost page?

Confused, I went onto their “Live Chat” facility and made my enquiry.

I was told that “prices change all the time”. I explained that (as a high st bookie with 20+ years experience) I was well aware that prices may change. But I explained that prices should be amended on website as soon as they change (ie I understood price had changed, but why was it still advertised as 15/2 if they are no longer accepting bets at this price? This was poor practice/customer service, I said.

I was told again that prices were subject to change, and referred to paragraph 8.2 on a link showing t & c’s

I said this didn’t answer my query as to why 15/2 offer was still being advertised.

I was told my query would be passed on, and asked if I needed any further assistance!

    Needless to say, I declined.

Upon checking their website an hour later, I found their “NOW 15/2 -was 6/1” offer price was still advertised as a Price Boost – but they still weren’t accepting at this price when you tried to bet!

    Extract from minutes from first Board Meeting of Rangers First on the 25th of February;

Only two of the named directors is still in place,RF’s payment procedure required two directors’ approval up to an agreed level. Anything above that level required sign off by the full Board. Once approved, payments were made by PINsentry. It was agreed the arrangements with RF’s bankers should be amended to require additional authorisation in the payment process before payment instructions were implemented. New arrangements would also be put in place with the intermediaries who collected members’ donations.

The Rangers support proposal was discussed by the Board. Issues discussed including timing for the publication of the proposal, the importance of ensuring the new group did not inherit any legacy liabilities from existing groups, the ring fencing of existing funds to acquire shares and the right of individuals to determine how their donations were spent. It was agreed these issues would be discussed at the working group.
