CITY’S DOUBLE RED

CELTIC’S Champions League opponents on Tuesday, Manchester City, are in disarray after Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho were sent off as tempers flared late on during their 3-1 home defeat to Chelsea.

Aguero saw red in stoppage time for a reckless knee-high lunge on David Luiz, with Fernandinho then dismissed after reacting to Cesc Fabregas in the subsequent scuffle.

It was a remarkable end to the game at the Etihad, as the London side came back from a goal down to win thanks to strikes from Diego Costa, Willian and Eden Hazard.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who summarised the game for Sky Sports, said: “When Pep Guardiola sees it back, he will see David Luiz goes for the ball. He goes strong, but he gets the ball.

“You can’t complain, we all love Aguero, but that was a bit too much.”

City are now likely to be without their star striker for an extended period through suspension.
