BOOKIES SLASH ODDS ON INVINCIBLE CELTIC

BOOKMAKERS have slashed odds on Celtic finishing the season as unbeaten Premiership champions.

The Hoops are now 5/2 to go undefeated through the league campaign as they zero in on their sixth successive title.

Brendan Rodgers’ men are rated 28/1 to win every remaining league game.

A bookies’ spokesman said: “The odds on Celtic maintaining their unbeaten record are falling quicker than the temperature. Our customers believe a victory in all remaining league games is a possibility now.”

The Parkhead men looked to be heading for their first domestic loss against Motherwell at Fir Park yesterday as they trailed to two goals from Louis Moult at the interval.

However, a change of the playing system by the astute Rodgers saw them come back to win 4-3 with goals from Callum McGregor, Patrick Roberts, Stuart Armstrong and Tom Rogic.

The title holders are eight points ahead of  Comedy Club Sevco Rangers with THREE games in hand. They can extend that advantage to 11 points if they beat Partick Thistle at Firhill on Friday night.

Celtic’s goal difference of 28 – as opposed to the Ibrox side’s four – is also worth another point.

Rogic’s last-gasp winner against ‘Well was the Hoops’ 19th goal in eight away games. They have collected 20 in only five matches at Parkhead.

They have conceded 11 goals in 13 Premiership games – exactly half the total shipped by Friday’s rivals Thistle!
