CONFIRMED: DEADLY DUO GUN FOR HEARTS

0

CELTIC’S deadly double-act Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths will combine again when the champions take on Hearts at Parkhead tonight.

The pair were given a rest by boss Neil Lennon for the 3-0 Scottish Cup triumph over League One part-timers Clyde at Broadwood on Sunday when Patryk Klimala led the line.

However the Frenchman, who has claimed seven goals since the action restarted, and the Scotland international, with four from six outings, are back in harness for the intriguing clash with the Premiership’s rock-bottom side.

The Hoops are aiming to maintain their 100 per cent record in 2020 with seven successive wins since returning from the mid-winter break.

Neil Lennon’s men are determined to remain seven points ahead of their nearest challengers from Ibrox who are in action against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park at the same time.

Goalkeeper Fraser Forster and midfielder Callum McGregor, who were also given a day off against Danny Lennon’s side, make their return.

Mohamed Elyounoussi, who returned to action at the weekend, is on the bench, but there is no sign of Klimala.

TEAM: Forster; Simunovic, Jullien, Ajer; Forrest, Brown, Ntcham, McGregor, Taylor; Griffiths, Edouard. Subs: Bain, Bauer, Hayes, Elyounoussi, Rogic, Christie and Bayo.
