Confusion as SFA appears lax on terms

1036

Is it really possible that Charles Green made a genuine oversight and believed that monies due to Rangers FC (IA) could be paid by a debtor to selective creditors in order to let his Newco gain access to the Scottish Football League?

Back in May, while Rangers FC (IA) were adamant they would continue in business, the SPL agreed to pay money due to the club directly to creditors.  The club subsequently failed to pay, or agree terms with, creditors and a creditor has asked BDO to liquidate them.  The lawyers have earned enough from this saga in recent months, they would be scrambling for Gratuitous Alienation cast studies if the SPL was to selectively pay football clubs.

It looks like Mr Green is tying himself in knots over the Newco/Oldco routine.  His attention to detail has the potential to become legendary, however, he is entitled to wonder why the SFA have allowed his Newco membership despite apparently not meeting agreed terms. I am sure the SFA president will be all over this issue like a rash, demanding clear and proper process is followed.

Or is the SFA president still the only man at Hampden who cannot participate in any of the important issues concerning Scottish football?

A man breaks into a house to look for money and guns.

Inside, he finds a couple in bed.

He orders the guy out of the bed and ties him to a chair.

While tying the wife to the bed, the  convict gets on top of her, kisses her

neck, then gets up and goes into the

    bathroom.

While he’s in there, the husband whispers over to his wife:

” Listen, this guy is an escaped convict. Look at his clothes !

He’s probably spent a lot of time in jail and hasn’t seen a woman in years.

I saw how he kissed your neck.

If he wants sex, don’t resist, don’t complain…do whatever he tells you !

Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you !

This guy is obviously very dangerous.

If he gets angry, he’ll kill us both.

    Be strong, honey….

    …. I love you ! ”

    His wife responds:

” He wasn’t kissing my neck.

He was whispering in my ear.

He told me that he’s gay, thinks you’re cute,…. and asked if we had

    any

    Vaseline.

I told him it was in the bathroom.

    Be strong, honey……

    I love you too ! ”

  2. So…..at this point, the biggest rumour of a rumour is the vague possibility that Adam might maybe perhaps come to Celtic? ( And let’s hope that’s not true. ) We don’t need him.

Anyway…..so if that’s the biggest story out there,it makes me wonder what nuclearity is waiting to detonate over the head of Scottish football, and who knows about it; because, apart from the usual puff pieces about the sevcovians from the addled minds of the msm,it’s awfy quiet out there at a time when Celtic’s transfer news would normally be abuzzin’.

A build up of ozone and thunder in the air.

I don’t doubt you for a minute, I’m sure Liverpool are touting him around alright- they won’t get 5m though and I’d say Lennon thought about it for all of 3 seconds!

I think any incoming transfers will only happen when we know two things 1) who is moving out and how much for? and 2) Where we will be playing in Europe this season ie the Champions league or the Europa league ? H.H.

Be sure your sins will find you out.

I’m vaguley disappointed that NY isn’t definitively on the side of the Angels, but does it matter?

It’s an interesting point, nevertheless. Do you like a musician more if you know he or she is a Celt? Contra argument, would you like them less if they were a self confessed hun?

Do you make allowances for those you don’t like just because you know they follow the Hoops?

Does that make you a bigot?

It helps, I think, that all the good ones are Celtic minded and all theirs are gash.Paolo Nutini, Gil Scott Heron and The Smiths versus Marti Pellow, Amy McDonald and that guy who won Fame Academy who no one can even remember now. Hardly a fair fight is it?

Glad that there is somebody else on here who has an interest in the wars for the unification of Italy.

Look forward to discussing it further with you.

Going for dinner now, but will be back later if you are still here.

I love music, and I have rather eclectic tastes. Anything from country-rock to heavy metal and everything in between!

    Never enquired what team a singer/musician/band support(s).

But you’re right – we have the best tunes!

Still think Billie Holliday is the greatest singer that ever lived (just edges out Caruso) ….

Really trying to start a fight on CQN with that last statement!

Pavarotti is the greatest Operatic tenor I’ve ever heard.

As for rock: Paul Rodgers of Free/Bad CO? Van the Man? Joe Cocker? Elvis- he could have been a tenor he was that great a singer.

Still think Black singers dominate on that score though, but then I’m maybe biased because I love Soul/Funk music: Stevie Wonder. Ray Charles. Sam Cooke and Ottis Reading were both incredible vocalists as well.

But the two best of the best in IMHO: Marvyn Gaye and Aretha Franklin.

    Football Facts ‏@FootballFacts1

Arsenal bought Anelka, Overmars, Petit, Henry, Vieira, Fàbregas, RVP, Toure, Adebayor and Nasri for £42m & sold them for £206m. Profit.

Nice work if you can get it…

Yep, good business, as long as you don’t want any trophies, that’s fine ! I think, like a lot of people, that their style of football is well worth watching though.

  13. We wont be getting shot of him.

Celtic striker Daryl Murphy has been ruled out for up to a month with a hamstring injury.

The Irishman, who spent last season on loan at Ipswich, limped off in the first

half of Celtic’s 2-0 friendly defeat by Real Madrid on Saturday night.

You lost me with the 60’s rock stuff, but, cannot argue with you on the soul/r&b stuff … remember seeing Bobby Bland years ago at this small r&b club …. he must have been 75, heavy, but could still sing, and the women still loved him!Screaming and swooning like teeny-boppers…. Throwing knickers on stage, and he used them to wipe his brow! Classic show!

Sadly, cant remember the last time some woman came to my place of work and threw their knickers at me!

Tragic to see Arsenal on such a long trophyless run,a well run club with decent fans, I went up there for years when I lived in London and always got a welcome with my Hoops scarf or strip on..

English football is finished disappearing up it’s own jacksie..

Just flicking through the blog and read the article from Spiers which is causing such a kerfuffle.

I thought his praise of Charliebhoy was very much tongue-in-cheek,while much of the rest of the article highlighted the dangers of what he is doing,i.e. rabble-rousing.

But I may be a tad too charitable towards him.

Re your……Still think Billie Holliday is the greatest singer that ever lived (just edges out Caruso) ….Pavarotti is the greatest Operatic tenor I’ve ever heard.

What about when Caruso sang Opera. How do you compare him with Pavarotti?

Anyway, Domingo kicks Pavarotti off stage. In fact Pavarotti comes way down the list after Del Monaco, De Stephano, Fritz Wunderlich and Carlo Bergonzi.

Jussi Bjorling also had a pure voice. Pavarotti’s vibrato was annoying. Mind you when he sand Nessun Dorma….no one did….the racket was terrible!

  23. Poor wee Ian Black getting booed; he’s played the panto villain for years and should expect nothing less especially at Easter Rd. The Hibees can boo with the best of them. I used to laugh how they kept the boos going for 90mns when big Caldwell and Broony returned with us.
