CQN Golf Open 2016

The 12th annual CQN Open Golf Day will take place at Aberdour Golf Club in Fife on Friday 29 July. Our annual trip to Aberdour is always a fantastic day. Those who play golf (not me) enjoy the stunning Fife course, while we all participate in an evening’s entertainment and chat.

The day is always fully subscribed, so if you want to attend, please email Taggsybhoy at cqnopen2016@gmx.co.uk . Cost for the full day’s golf and evening meal is £80. There are a limited number of dinner and evening-only places available at a cost of £45.

We’ve raised tens of thousands of pounds for good causes far and wide over the previous 11 events, and enjoyed some great times. See you there.

Aberdeen’s visit to Fir Park on Saturday looked like a stiff test on paper before news broke that the Motherwell squad has been devastated by a virus, which has forced the club to cancel training this week. There’s little Celtic can do about that short of extending their lead to four points earlier tomorrow afternoon with their visit to Rugby Park.

Kilmarnock are marooned in the play-off position: 8 points from bottom, and five from Inverness and Hamilton above them. They’ve scored only once in their last four home games but have the curious claim to be unbeaten by Celtic this season.

We looked sloppy on our first trip to Rugby Park in the autumn and impotent when we faced them at Celtic Park. Kilmarnock would perhaps suggest they simply figured out how to frustrate us. They’re not alone with that belief.

I was concerned about last week’s game against Thistle and Kilmarnock tomorrow. Our next outing, in two weeks against Hearts, will take care of itself, the adrenaline will pump for that one, but we need to create our own intensity away to teams in the bottom half of the table.

We didn’t turn in a classic performance last week but, straight from the off, it was clear we were sharper than at any point since thumping Hamilton two months ago. A focus returned to the squad (as did a Commons and a Bitton). With the large uptake of tickets by Celtic fans I expect our edge to be evident from the start.

Lionroars67 – That Ajax game was sinister.

Listen – I dandered about Glasgow city centre for an hour at least, between the about 17:45 to 18:45 – trying to find the pub.

Gangs of Ajax supporters, some squads maybe up to 100 strong. Threatening and intimidating.

Not one peeler did I see.

    That isn’t normal.

Any city centre, anywhere in the world – you get police. Even in Belfast, in times of peace, they are always about the place.

That’s a critical time, rush hour.

    Nothing.

I couldn’t fight sleep, but was annoyed with myself because a couldn’t find the pub – and annoyed also with these thugs waltzing about the town, like they owned the place.

So I put a lighter in my right hand, just pissed off more than anything – sober as a judge – hinkin’ I’m gonna crack one of these fools if they start.

Anyway, spotted the pub eventually – about 20 or 30 of those Dutch clowns in tow. Recognised a few of the CQN crew standing outside – the Bhoys didn’t recognise me though lol – they thought I was with the lowlifes ffs!

To cut a long story short, the hooligans after making there way towards the pub, suddenly walked away and headed elsewhere.

Fortunately enough thinking back – wasn’t displaying any colours – I’d a been a dead man otherwise.

Kept running into these scumbags, everywhere they where.

    No cops anywhere though.

One hing that I never do on here is criticise police, am too cute for that – up until now lol.

    Monitor this.

Just said – is that right, aye?

Thinking Wtf are ye on about?

Surreal isn’t the word for it.

Keep winning Celtic, just keep winning – it kills them it does, it kills them.

Stand beside our leader Ronny Delia.

Let’s fck them up, once again.

Happy St Joseph’s Day. Pray to him. Our Lady wants that. Her Son wants what She wants. The Father wants what pleases the Son.

God bless you and the wife.

Excuse me for butting in here however I would look at the livestrong.com site? I am enjoying my first two runs after 6 weeks with hamstring pulls and I found the advice on there to be good.

May not be right for you but it only takes 5 minutes to take a look.

No gym today, 3 hours in garden then Hoops game then back to garden for me….looking forward to the sore back already.
