CSA will not be alone in boycott call

982

Celtic Quick News fully supports the decision by the Supporters’ Association Executive Committee to ask an Emergency Delegates Meeting to vote on whether to selectively boycott clubs which vote for a Newco to be admitted directly into the SPL next season.

We discussed the idea of a boycott on this basis towards the end of last season.  It appears the only appropriate action if our ‘sport’ can be subjugated for financial ends.

I am sure Celtic fans will not be the only ones considering a boycott.  If Newco gains access to the SPL next season there is likely to be a schism between supporters of clubs who opposed the move and those clubs who vote for Newco, despite the wishes of their own supporters.

Kilmarnock might be able to look forward to lower costs for stewarding and turnstile operators, from their own support as well as others.  Still, they would be able to open more than one stand when Newco visit.

What a great five days Walter Smith had.  His attempts to buy assets from Rangers administrators failed, sigh, but he managed to undermine the guys trying to sell tickets to Ibrox next season, so it wasn’t a complete waste of time.  Legned.

  1. Dick Byrne,

Bill Wells & Aidan Moffat’s “Everything’s Getting Older” was a worthy winner of the Scottish Album Of The Year Award the other night. Indeed I suspect that Moffat in the ‘Coppertop’ video bears a remarkable resemblance to DB in your musical heyday.

Here’s part of a reply I received to a recent email to the SFA about Sally , Sandy and Mark HATElys recent comments which lead to panel members safety being compromised.

“In answer to your original question, the matter that you refer to does not fall under the new “fast track” protocol, so that does not mean that it is not under consideration. As I’m sure you can appreciate, there have been a number of complex and time-consuming disciplinary processes on-going in recent weeks and months, which, by necessity, have taken precedence.”

Not part of the “fast track” protocol – must be just Neil Lennon who’s on this new “fast track ” system .

Just another way of saying – ” we passed the complaints to Campbell and were sure he will deal with it when he gets time” NOT

Posted this last night lads , anyone think their going to punish the 3 stooges.

    Hail Hail

  3. 3 questions, and I mean them seriously:

When do rfc(dead) actually become liquidated?

When do BDO get tore into the b*******?

When does the official rfc(site) get taken down; it’s still promising conquest & glory to the fascists. Where are they getting the dosh to administer the site, considering the fact that the shameless morons refuse to even pay the corner shop for newspapers?

Fair enough, that’s actually 4 questions, but I am seriously hacked off at the way they are being still regarded as alive & kicking. Only in Scotland…..

    The sfa is absolutely gutless.

If Houston wants the ST money from his club’s fans, then Thomson should publically declare his voting intentions.

If the are going to vote Yes, then they accept the consequences from their honest fans.

If they vote No, Houston gets his money to buy his players.

Houston’s comments to his club’s patrons is despicable and if a Celtic manager attempted moral blackmail on the fans, there would be demands for his removal.

It is becoming more obvious that unless there is FIfA/UEFA intervention, the old order will prevail.

Comments from Partick Thistle chariman(?) were a bit confusing… Does he mean the Glasgow Cup would be reintroduced at a senior level ONLY if newhuns are admitted to SFL3, and not SFL1 or SPL?

Aye…..and giving Pat Fenlon a hard slap was right up there in their priorities.

I think uefa/fifa , whatever, need to step in and forcefully restructure Scottish football before it collapse completely under the weight of slothful corruption and its naked preference for one club and one club only; even if that club is called ’12’. It’s Rankers, and everybody knows it. Even the orcs regard its fixtures as theirs.

Incredible, and laughing can be heard all over the place except in the offices of the sfa.

    They need to go.

Totally agree mate , the corruption exposed so far is just the tip of the iceberg , if we had real governance in Scottish football instead of this Masonic cabal then the ship called RFC would be at the bottom of the ocean right now .

    Hail Hail

  9. Call me stupid but why is there still a rangers fighting fund? They lost the fight, rangers is no more. They come across now as some sort of rangers militant group now.

  10. Dontbrattbakkinanger on

JohnnyClash /DB- I lookeda the trailer for that ‘record’ on the ole Youtube. It seemed to consist of a lot of scratching, like the needle was full of cat hair, accompanying a lassie undressing in best ‘Readers Wives’ stylee, and some old Open University footage on human reproduction.

-Not my cup of char I’m afraid, but good luck to the students who have put it together.

  11. If someone does plan to reintroduce the Glasgow Cup to senior teams as a sop to Sky etc to have some more games between Celtic and whatever emerges from the ashes of the dearly departed RFC, then Celtic should treat it with the contempt it deserves and play a very young team or even the ladies.

We will have enough on our plate with the SPL, League Cup, Scottish Cup and Europe without playing some meaningless tournament re-established for one purpose and one purpose only.

    Mort

  12. Read that rangers statement again, it is actually not made by the fighting fund. It has been posted up by Club12. Expect another war of words today.

    Stupid huns…

    lol!

  13. Dontbrattbakkinanger on

A son of Dan – RFFF, like wee Japanese squaddies holding out in the jungle for years, waiting for the Emperor to tell them the game’s up.

Of course THEIR Emperor marched right up, and marched away again as fast as his brogues could carry him.

    ……………

If they do reintroduce the Glasgow Cup at Senior Level we should just play our Youth team as normal

  15. With every day that passes it now looks like dd and pl want newco huns in the spl or the 1st div at least.

Its 6wks till the new season starts and still no condemnation from celtic on what oldco have done to the rep of the game up here. Every other chairman has had their say so why cant pl let us know his thoughts!

Celtic stated back in May they would do what was best for Celtic and sporting integrity in Scotland. To say anything else at this point, would just be giving the laptop loyal ammunition to support Club12.

  19. ASonOfDan

What a stupid survey. Apart from asking if they should be allowed back into SPL it doesn’t ask the simple question. “What league should they be admitted to, if any?” and offer 5 answers. SPL, SFL1, SFL2, SFL3, None

  20. That statement about the fighting fund is on the Rangers FC (Deceased) grave stone, inscribed by none other than The Sevco Huns!

  21. Dontbrattbakkinanger on

Johnny Clash/DB – I can recommend ‘American Folk Songbook’ by wee Suzy Bogguss, fet. vg version of ‘Froggy Went a Courtin’.

  22. DBBIA – I agree that much of the album can sound discordant on first listening. I would urge you to watch the “official” video for The Copper Top though – a poignant song which might resonate in men of a certain age.

Ole Dick- thanks for the tip, just watched it. As you say very poignant; a similar mood to the JCash version of ‘hurt’.

  26. Has Jimmy Carr bought Sevco yet? Or have I confused my tax dodgers?

And what’s happening with league reconstruction? There seem to be meetings happening but time is short to sort something out for the new season starting.

There is a massive PR offensive now for the Yes, followed by a year’s demotion.

This could be their last throw of the dice.

In any case, it is now coming down to the point that Celtic and football’s interest has to be paramount.

This is the last chance for Scottish football to save itself.

The CSA’s meeting and, more important, the statement that they issue following it, are to be of critical importance.

No to any Newco / Newclub which doesn’t have to get down on its knees and beg to be allowed to begin by starting at the very ,very bottom. No to any New Firm / New Form Old Firm.
