Celtic Quick News fully supports the decision by the Supporters’ Association Executive Committee to ask an Emergency Delegates Meeting to vote on whether to selectively boycott clubs which vote for a Newco to be admitted directly into the SPL next season.
We discussed the idea of a boycott on this basis towards the end of last season. It appears the only appropriate action if our ‘sport’ can be subjugated for financial ends.
I am sure Celtic fans will not be the only ones considering a boycott. If Newco gains access to the SPL next season there is likely to be a schism between supporters of clubs who opposed the move and those clubs who vote for Newco, despite the wishes of their own supporters.
Kilmarnock might be able to look forward to lower costs for stewarding and turnstile operators, from their own support as well as others. Still, they would be able to open more than one stand when Newco visit.
What a great five days Walter Smith had. His attempts to buy assets from Rangers administrators failed, sigh, but he managed to undermine the guys trying to sell tickets to Ibrox next season, so it wasn’t a complete waste of time. Legned.

Heard a few minutes of talk sports Keys and Gray there. Pleased to hear Patrick Barclay mention, as he stated, the Scandal of Rangers saying they’d need to work their way through the divisions and also express sympathy for what he called outstanding infrastructure at Celtic who were confined by the limitations of low TV income in a small Country.
I’ll say this for them…………….sinking ship or not, they still have plenty of rats aboard!!

I think it is great album. . Critical opinion seems to be very polarized. .
The Scotsman cant seem to understand that this newco has never been in the SPL before.
In fact it has never played any football at all as part of any organisation, not SPL or SFA…NONE!!
I dont think Scottish football can take a punt on this unknown club when we have other well run clubs looking to join the SFL given the chance.

Yes, the confusion is really annoying me too. A brand new club can’t be readmitted, it can’t rejoin, it can’t re- anything. It’s new. The clue is in the name.
It can’t be relegated, demoted or expelled . It has never been a member of a league before.
And it really seems to confuse people when you remind them that Craig Whyte owns (what’s left of) Rangers and not Charles Green.

Well that’s the Scotsman survey completed with a comment on the end asking where the difficulty is in recognising that Rangers cannot get back into the SPL as the club no longer exists, that Charles Green at present is simply an owner of some property in the centre of Glasgow and in Milgavie, plus is the owner of a car park, aspires to run a football club if he can attract any players and/or supporters, and that Rangers FC is in administration awaiting liquidation.
