At 1:45 yesterday afternoon the prospects of Celtic stretching their lead at the top of the table by the end of the day appeared slight. The tide has turned in Celtic’s favour in recent weeks but leagues are hard to win and we need only think back to how many chances St Mirren peppered Fraser Forster’s goal with to appreciate the difference between winning games and dropping points.
Teams in the SPL are well organised, even eighth place St Mirren, who are on a run of poor form but apart from a couple of lapses defended well, created more chances than Celtic and played with adventure and confidence.
Celtic are the best team in the league but there will not be a single game before the end of the season in which they will be able to take anything for granted. The result from yesterday we should pay most attention to is bottom of the league Dunfermline’s 0-3 win at Kilmarnock. This is a league without whipping boys.

In my opinion the only thing that will derail our push for the title is an injury to big vic

Ghuys, before we get any deeper into debating dodgy officialdom, can we please refer to itcantbeparanoia.blogspot!!!!
Its all there to see,
For years we have been blinded with the LL re-writing history, and some of us forgetting the TRUTH…
My personal favourite from recent times was Craig Thomson at Greyskull 2009 …. ( Shaun Maloney yellow for being fouled game)… In that game i counted 7 penalties and so did most who post on here, Mr Keith Jackscum reported the very next day that we had a possibly 7 penalty claims turned down but DEFINATELY 5…. That has now been re-written to 1….
What about our favourite pastor booking nine of our players for having the hoops on?
Bhoylo83 I have to agree with you big Victor67 is an awseome prospect what a player what a great purchase by Lennie. Who is Clint Dempsey is he a striker? H.H.
That reverbnation talks a lot of nonsense

Celtic ride their luck as they open up four-point gap on Rangers at top of the Scottish Premier League
As Neil Lennon was quick to point out after this hard-fought and barely deserved 2-0 victory, the road to the title is rarely smooth and Saturday’s encounter against St Mirren was certainly a bumpy ride.
Then goes on to describe Forrest’s goal as a ‘mis-hit shot’.
Oh! The laptop loyal are starting to hurt…

Agree but I think that makes us a little predictable and easy to defend.
It allows opponents to sit in and defend comfortably
Midfelders coming late forces defenders to move and creates space for us to exploit.
We are still to reliant on individual moments rather than a more potent team strategy.
That’s why for all our possession we don’t create a greater amount of chances.
Hoping that the young McGeogh and the young Kenyan along with Commons return add a more creative dimension.

was that Ewing Graham in The Telegraph ?
Fat Sally still believes that having gone from 15 points clear to 4 points down since only November that they have a team to win the league, must be counting the MIB as part of the team

play Ledley in midfield and he will go beyond the strikers…
A son of Dan / Ron Bacardi
I’m reminded of a golfer (Gary Player I think) who stated something along the lines of – the more I practice, the luckier I get…
That’s Celtic.

After signing Mervan Celik, Rangers are reported to be ready to sign another 3 players, Chucky Arlar, Ima Feenyun, and Roman Kathlik !!
I see that many of you still say that the linesman who denied Roge’s goal made wrong decision.
Let me say that that I can’t agree with you all and state that the linesman made right decision.
When Charlie Mulgrew touches the ball two Celtic players are on off-side positions. The linesman would not rise the flag and the referee would not whistle if the cross was made to the player right to Mulgrew or backward to another Celtic player. The pass was made to the place where two Celtic players were on positions close to the goal. Rogne was on the line one yard back from two Celtic players who were on off side positions. Fact that he was not off side does not matter.
Two Celtic players were interfering with St. Mirren players and gained advantage with off side positions.
Watch two important moments:
1: The linesman rose the flag immediately after Rogne touched the ball, before the ball flew into the goal.
2: One St. Mirren players does not move, stays in one place and rises his arm, marking off-side to the referee.
For me second confirms that St. Mirren practice off-side trap as a defensive tactics.
For me right decision.
Clip one of you posted yesterday.

Just watched the highlights. I watched the game live and was angry at the offside decision. Now in the cold light I see that Ledley was offside and moved onside and when Rogne headed the ball it could have been mistaken for Ledley who jumped at the same time.
Any other thoughts?
