At 1:45 yesterday afternoon the prospects of Celtic stretching their lead at the top of the table by the end of the day appeared slight. The tide has turned in Celtic’s favour in recent weeks but leagues are hard to win and we need only think back to how many chances St Mirren peppered Fraser Forster’s goal with to appreciate the difference between winning games and dropping points.
Teams in the SPL are well organised, even eighth place St Mirren, who are on a run of poor form but apart from a couple of lapses defended well, created more chances than Celtic and played with adventure and confidence.
Celtic are the best team in the league but there will not be a single game before the end of the season in which they will be able to take anything for granted. The result from yesterday we should pay most attention to is bottom of the league Dunfermline’s 0-3 win at Kilmarnock. This is a league without whipping boys.

Hope so mate – mccoist really annoyed me that night , got away completely with his lunge at Neil , where he had to be pulled back earlier in the game and with his cowardly whisper in Neil’s ear at the end .
Who is the muppet that’s spamming the blog all day??
These viral posts are becoming an epidemic.
re the north coast of Spain
undoubtedly, for me, the best part of that wonderful country. Take the boat from Portsmouth to Santander, a lovely city in its own right. I passed through it many times before being forced to spend a couple of days there… its a wee gem.
Take some time in the Basque country, the best food I’ve tasted anywhere. Adventurous, surprising, and tremendously varied. A slow meander through Cantabria and Asturias and into Galicia – take in the Picos; stunning. WHen you’re in Galicia, head to the diviest wee bar you can find, ask for some Pulpo and a bottle of Alborino, and get involved in an argument. Ask for the places where the locals still enjoy traditional music.
Its a good bit wetter than other parts of Spain, but more than makes up for it.
Twitter linking us with Clint Dempsey!!

Yip, we blew a 2 goal lead that day, and the ref seemed pretty impartial as I recall, and his linesman got the call wrong at the Murphy goal.
Finn
Slow down there! I would give him a week’s trial at the town and wait on a verdict from

Francis Andrew a is a cheat.
Celtic should protest his involvement in our games using video evidence.

I’ve always stated that we. Are not a potent team with Ki in centre as he nullifies any forward movement.
He undoubtedly has skill but for the most part he is an ineffective footballer. He only passes sideways and back and always allows opponents to set defensively.
Commons offers us a direct incisive approach.
Still think our centre mids need to get forward more

I disagree,Dempsey caught my eye at the start
of the season through bravery going for ball.
A most unlikely trait of a USA saaccer player.
Saying that no chance him coming here with
hyper inflated fees down south.
Just been told by the wife to put on Breaking Bad series 2, so I’m not complaining.
Off now

i think Ki wants too much time on the ball …i agree he slows the game down
as regards the CB`s venturing forward
you may have a point ….however with our FB`s encouraged to get forward i think they will have been told to sit in
also our defensive record has been good of late …
BBC highlights from yesterdays victory down paisley way , available to those outwith the UK

Tbb, my memory was that there was nothing wrong with the linesmans call that day. I thought it was borderline offside myself. I do remember the rangers fans and laptop loyal trying to turn it into a bad call by the lux linesman. Perhaps their campaign has grown legs over time and we’re starting to remember something that didn’t happen.

Sorry mate!
Anyway I saw Clint openly bless himself after he scored a goal yesterday!
That wont do here as well you know!!!

It’s our central midfielders I want to support our strikers.
They have a tendency to hold about 30 yards out leaving our strikers isolated and outmanned.
Rogne was never at any time offside.Incompetence or cheating same man to many times just to be incompetence.
We play or last game before the split on the 07/04/12,what date would anyone guess the Huns game would be.
Sorry Bhoys,
Read all time but not post!
Have to say Happy Birthday 9th to my lad Ewan!
He does believe I can post this!!
But use Daddies know better.

Cos of Weiry’s stroll around the park at half time, it was ten past before they kicked off the second half. Gotta cut the guy slack, he is 116 next birthday!
There was a long goodbye to weary ole dave at half time, hence the delayed start to the second half.
Oh, and the ref allowed 32 minutes injury time.
Was at a youth football club awards night that Brian Winter attended, the dad who brought him had king B tattoo’d on one arm and 5 stars on the other so dont get your hopes up
TKV67- Iain “2 hands” Brines MIB at Ibrox, I believe the game kicked off late, the crowd were still trying to get over the pain of aul Gramps goodbyes.
THM- I’m pretty sure the Lux lino got it wrong, one of these split decions that they can get wrong.
Compare that with a game 8 months before, Robbie Keane v Hearts at CP when Keano was wrongly ruled offside at least 6 times- now that is quite un-human.
