Duff and Phelps in the dock with Rangers as SPL hit back

The SPL today released a short statement indicating that despite asking for information regarding the improper registrations of football players to be submitted by 6 April, the league have yet to receive “full cooperation from the club and its administrators in providing everything that it and they have access to and which is required for the investigation to be completed”.

This being the case you may wonder why the league have been so keen to accommodate Duff and Phelps on the matter of allowing a Newco-Rangers access to the league.

Tonight the SPL will receive all the information they require to confirm Rangers have a case to answer.  They must act with the gravity the situation deserves.

Duff and Phelps failure to comply with the Harper MacLeod inquiry might superficially allow their job to progress as though there was nothing wrong, but it leaves an enormous and insurmountable issue for potential buyer to find when they conduct due diligence.

If Duff and Phelps had provided information on time, there was at least a chance they could have removed this iceberg that will surely scupper their chances of selling the club.

I am pleased Mr Doncaster has stepped forward this evening.  Now the truth is out he must deal with the matter expediently.

Just nip into the tent for another quick whiff and you have posted again!

I can not get my head round the sheer ‘negligence’, incompetence, or is it deceit, of everyone concerned in this affair. Decent people wipe their noses when they are running. It appears these people are content to allow the ‘snotters’ to keep on dripping in spite of the disgust of everybody looking on. Perhaps Mark daly will have a good strong tissue tonight.

So the SFA/ SPL crisis strategy involves doing nothing until they hear that those pesky reporters are about to release information that they should have asked for- and then putting out ill considered statements that are obviously an amateur attempt to look as though they are actually doing something. And they are paid how much for this?

Just think tomorrow we’ll be able to sing ‘your cheatin’ is over, why don’t you go home?’

  12. Dungcaster: Some are born mediocre, some achieve mediocrity, and some have mediocrity thrust upon them.

People are saying we wont learn anything we don’t already know tonight- but is that the point? What we the Timternet Bampots know will move out into the mainstream & become part of the wider debate…it will hopefully become politicised.

A political slant on all this could make a hell of a difference.

    re Santa scandal…

This Santa scandal just demonstrates the problems with our board, or bored, as oor Declan has it. Right now, this is nothing more than informed speculation, but I am led to believe that Santa does/did exist. However, in a shameful episode in our history, the board and PL agreed to pretend he didn’t/doesn’t exist (as part of an anti-Celtic SPL and SFA conspiracy) in order to secure the Sky deal and so further enhance PL’s annual bonus AND ALL TO MAKE SURE THAT THE WAS NO MONEY TO SPEND ON PLAYERS SO THAT WE NEVER, EVER WIN THE LEAGUE.

Shurely, any right-thinking Celtic fan will now refuse to buy tickets for Parkhead. In fact, maybe buying season books for Ibroke would teach them a lesson. After all, what have PL, NL and the board ever done for us?

    Hail Hail.
