Duff and Phelps in the dock with Rangers as SPL hit back

247

The SPL today released a short statement indicating that despite asking for information regarding the improper registrations of football players to be submitted by 6 April, the league have yet to receive “full cooperation from the club and its administrators in providing everything that it and they have access to and which is required for the investigation to be completed”.

This being the case you may wonder why the league have been so keen to accommodate Duff and Phelps on the matter of allowing a Newco-Rangers access to the league.

Tonight the SPL will receive all the information they require to confirm Rangers have a case to answer.  They must act with the gravity the situation deserves.

Duff and Phelps failure to comply with the Harper MacLeod inquiry might superficially allow their job to progress as though there was nothing wrong, but it leaves an enormous and insurmountable issue for potential buyer to find when they conduct due diligence.

If Duff and Phelps had provided information on time, there was at least a chance they could have removed this iceberg that will surely scupper their chances of selling the club.

I am pleased Mr Doncaster has stepped forward this evening.  Now the truth is out he must deal with the matter expediently.

There must be NO vote on anything to do with a zombie newclubin the spl. till ALL THE FACTS ARE ON THE TABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doncaster must Not be allowed to force anything through.

If d&p can delay a vote with a proxy phone call then celtic & at least hibs must DEMAND a delay on the 30th.

  4. That spl statement reads a little clumsy (a bit like my own ramblings). By ‘it’ do they mean rangers fc the company, the club, ally and everyone associated with ‘it’. Any relation to Stephen King’s IT a 1990 miniseries based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name. The story revolves around an inter-dimensional predatory life-form that is referred to as Pennywise….

    When will it go away!

wow. thanks for the response. Sounds like he is out of our market!!

That said – a player in that style – big, French/African – good in the air – no nonsense – does not need to cost crazy money. It is the type of player (physically) who we should be looking at IMO.

Think tonights program will concentrate on Duff and Phelps role in all of this. Does Grier have a link to moonbeams ? I never found one.
