  1. basically saying Same club – yes

    No trophies lost – Yes

None of the guilty men banished from football – Yes..

result for the handshakers as planned.

not one word said in public by Celtic to stop it. So we have given them 5 years free propaganda…backed on some occasions by us.. or did I miss us welcoming a new club to parkhead?

  2. Turkeybhoy,

Totally agree about Brown. I’ve criticised him plenty in the past, but these last 2 seasons he has been immense. Seems to have calmed his game down a lot: no harum-scarum headless chicken runs, or poor passes. Much more controlled and natural looking these days.

I liked the way he just laughed at the Dundee guy who tried to chop him in the first couple of minutes last night. A few years ago that would have ended in a square go and most likely a booking.

  3. Celtic Champs Elect on

Judicial Review on its way now that we have exhausted all avenues with the sfa & sock cabal

It was always going to be that way anyway as the correspondence between PL and tge sfa has suggested

Go get them Peter and thank you for all you and board have done for the club over your tenure

It’s some feeling knowing we are going to ipox to hammer them on Saturday

  4. Borgo67: It seems quiet on here.

Jungle VIP: Of course it seems quiet. It always seems quiet, until the aliens invade or the volcano erupts or the orchestra starts playing the scary music or Celtic announce their intention to request a Judicial Review …

  5. Without the support of the SPFL, will Celtic really want to fund a Judicial Review on their own? They can argue that it’s not in the best interests of shareholders to take this on solo with the support of the other clubs.

My expectation is that any review would need to be pursued by Scottish football fans.

Could well be wide of the mark…

  6. Natknow- how much have the SFA spent in legal fees on the cheating hun fiasco, in last 6 years? The SPFL/SFA should fund a JR.HH

It’s quiet on here. Suspect that will change with the news that spfl rule out review of ebt handling.

    ………

I was referring to this a page or 2 ago. It spoiled my morning…. but not my day! They’ll do fookin nuttin’! But Celtic will, though!

The shite has not only hit the fan, it’s also splattered all all bystanders, and this mess needs cleaned up NOW.

I don’t disagree mate but it looks like they ain’t going to. And I just don’t see how Celtic can justify paying for it themselves since it affects all clubs and supporters

  9. It`s OK. I found this on BBC Site:

The Scottish Professional Football League says it cannot take forward an “effective independent review” into the handling of Rangers’ EBT use.

It expressed disappointment over the SFA’s decision not to participate and said a review would have resulted in “a better understanding” of procedures.

The SPFL had called for a review in July, but the SFA had written to member clubs advising that it would not do so.

Both governing bodies had to be in agreement over a review, the SPFL said.

“SPFL chairman Murdoch MacLennan said: “The SPFL board has been clear that any meaningful review would have had to be carried out in association with the Scottish FA and with the full and active co-operation of both organisations.

“The SPFL board has therefore concluded that it cannot, by itself, take forward an effective independent review.” ”

    NATKNOW,

They’d not win that argument, because it IS in the interests of shareholders…. and every paying customer of scottish football (and not forgetting the foreign clubs who lost out to Oldco and their cheating ways).

With or without support from other clubs, Celtic must pursue this. They can’t (shouldn’t) back down now after making the stance public. I don’t think they will let this slide.

    Sh*t just got real! ;)

  11. It looks like there will never be justice as regards THEM. All I can now hope for is that The Tribute Act go the same way as the original mob. Then, when it can no longer affect any pretence of a Rangers, maybe our mealy mouthed fourth estate will tell the truth.

In the meantime, a right gubbing of them by Celtic on Saturday would help hasten the demise of the Zombies.

I share your desire for this to be pursued but I don`t know enough about it to insist on Celtic doing ALL the pursuing. We must make sure not to condemn Celtic for the inaction of others.

Delaney’s Dunky 1116pm: First time I knew my Dad was in the Knights of St Columba was when they turned up at the door the evening after he died and said ‘We’ll be organising the funeral CCB!’ Thought the Church didn’t allow secret societies!!!!!

    CCB

They are not known as the Catholic Masons for no reason. :)

*they are NOT a secret society, the only part of them that is secretive is their degree (only 4 BTW not 33) ceremonies and that is to preserve the integrity of them which are based on Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.

They were originally set up as a mutual benefit society to working class and immigrant Catholics in the United States, it developed into a fraternal benefit society dedicated to providing charitable services, promoting Catholic education and Catholic public policy positions, and actively defending Catholicism in various nations. As well as to prevent Catholic men from entering secret societies whose membership was antithetical to Church teaching.

Their motto is ‘In Service to One; In Service to All”, no matter colour, culture or creed.

I’ve been a Knight for 37 years and are 4th degree also and there are lots of charitable operations in this once waspish town that would have to close if it wasn’t for the likes of the Knights, Kiwanis, Lions, Rotary etc who are all fraternal charitable organisations, not so the goatshaggers where charity begins at home, they also make a blood oath, the others don’t.

Absolutely agree. My reasoning for saying ‘Celtic’ must pursue this, is because they are the only club to publicly state their views, and therefore cannot do anything other than chase it.

I know it’s been/being made a Celtic vs SFA thing, and the other clubs should be ashamed. No matter, someone or something must stand up against the corruption. If it means Celtic alone, well, let’s have it!

This can’t go on. It’s sickening.

…. and if any other scottish club or authority make an official complaint against Celtic? Well, if it’s only one club or one authority complaining, they can beat it!

The precedent has been set? Aye?

When Mike Tyson bit Evander Hollyfields ear, it was only Evanders team complaining about it. Tyson would’ve been happy to carry on. If the SFA refereed that fight, would they have dismissed that one teams complaints? Should it matter wether that team makes up 50% or 5% of the competition? I don’t think it should matter one bit!

Apologies for typos or if I’m just talking baws. Heavy night lastnight/this morning.

  19. Today 21st September is International Peace Day…100 years ago today we were still more than a year away from the end of the First World War, a war that took the lives of more than 15 million people…80 years ago we were fast approaching a new, even deadlier conflict, over 50 million lives were lost…since then we have had numerous wee wars, some of which are still unresolved…Even on this very blog we have read Celtic fans telling how various family members perished in conflict..So, I think it’s good we have a day for reflection…(poppy days are too contentious)…today is truly an international day of reflection…May I suggest a piece of music, an anti-war piece composed by Karl Jenkins that is titled The Armed Man : A Mass for Peace…this extract is called Benedictus…it is a quiet time on the blog, and anyway, you can listen and lurk at the same time…

  24. Regards spfl ‘s decision (script) today can celtic no take concerns to uefa, the sfa has clearly failed to protect the game and shown a lack of governance from the outset…

Judicial review is something supporters can bring forward

I must be missing something. What’s the rush all about? Close your eyes. Rangers FC 1872-2012 wrapped in a shroud hanging over an Apache wood burning stove. Just enough heat to smell them burn ad infinitum. Praise be to God.

Are you suggesting the SFA should actually, really for real govern scottish football? Like, as if it was their duty? Do you honestly think they haven’t got better things to do? I mean, it takes one of them to freeze the cup draw ball, another to help him, another one to tell them how pure brilliant they are at their jobs and the rest to act like they know what the feck they’re being paid for!

  27. Best news yet from the SPFL.Can anyone on here imagine the amount of whitewash that would have been used by these cheating stunts. It would have been, planned, decided on,gift wrapped, and delivered to us with a”Theres yer dinner”label attached. If this is to go forward it needs to be independent of any of that Masonic cabal.

I am sure we will be kept up to speed by our intrepid bunch of justice seekers on CQN.Believe no one else.

  28. Pedro says if he was Celtic he would target his temperament

    Brendan

“I don’t think he needs any help in that, watching the game the other night against Partick,” said Rodgers. “We really concentrate on ourselves.”

If any of our player targeted (broony say)

the mad matador has just admitted its premeditated.

  29. I said recently on this site that “they” are the Establishment and will not be beaten, and sadly I have been proven right. However I may have a way out!

Why don’t we, the fans of Celtic, pay for our own review, but there again, we would lose, so what’s the point.
