  1. QF, it doesn’t make it hard for Celtic to argue the same club myth at all.

Hibs were not incorporated when they ceased playing for a spell, so couldn’t be liquidated or go bankrupt, they were an amateur team, from my understanding, they were a club in the old fashioned sense, not a legal entity.

If there is a filing at CH that shows they went out of business then apologies, but I can’t find one.

They missed a meeting when the league was formed, so effectively had no one to play against until they joined the league later.

I can’t find any mention of the club going bust/bankrupt/or any other form of going out of business and breaking their history.

They just stopped playing due to lack of opponents as potential opponents were playing in a league set up.

If you have a source could you post it, I can’t find one, only sources tell this version.

Stand to be corrected of course.

  2. Oh how thick these Sevco arseholes are (the ones on FF anyway). Even after the shocking results, no progres in Europe comes to mind. They hang on to his every rant and really think that they will get some sort of a positive result on Saturday. This ranges from a 3-0 win to a 1-0 defeat. They just will not accept that Pedro is a clown of a manager. Still after we hump them they might come to their senses Hope Not. Pedro must stay

  3. Thank-goodness for Tims like this…….

    Folks

In a chat with another well kebt blogger he made the point about mixed messages on all matters Rangers/ebts/SFA etc and if any evidence were needed of the effect of that mix it’s right here on CQN.

Now listen carefully, I’ll say this only once (no I’ll not because it will get lost in the chatter but here goes).

There were THREE separate avenues open that have now been reduced to TWO.

The one gone is an enquiry in which both SFA and SPFL would have participated to look at how both handled the fallout of Rangers use of ebts. The SFA will not play ball because they know that they would come out of such a review so badly the SFA could not survive in its present form.

A Judicial Review is NOTHING to do with Celtic officially. They might want it but they will not finance it because they are members of the organisations that would be under scrutiny and are bound by SFA and SPFL rules not to shit in their own nest. That finance has come from supporters who have the money and will to fund a JR.

It is paying for the exploratory work done so far to establish if there is a case, how it might be brought and possible outcomes.

If those three ducks are in a positive row the case will cost mega bucks and will require crowd funding. So it’s a wait and see but those involved in the exploration have been making positive noises.

Number THREE (now TWO) is good ol Res12 which is shorthand for investigating the granting and monitoring of the UEFA Licence by the SFA in 2011.

For 4 years the SFA have been stalling on a proper investigation but have been forced by the power of the evidence with which they were presented as a result of the work of the Res12ers, to admit something was rotten in the state of Hampden.

Res12ers have serious reservations about the conduct of any SFA led enquiry for obvious reasons: SFA were party to the process, have known for some time where the bodies lie but done SFA, made public statements at odds with the truth, have misled journalists via their Head of Communication ( E Tims should have more to report tomorrow on that) and the Compliance Officer in post is the chap who failed to deal appropriately with information supplied from 2014.

If the SFA or indeed Celtic let this investigation proceed solely under the SFA umbrella then Regan has won and Peter Lawwell has lost.

There will be more detail into next week on why an SFA only investigation is unacceptable but as matters stand it is vital all Celtic supporters in the know and shareholders get behind PL and let him know they want him to ensure this UEFA licence investigation answers all the questions about how RFC were able to lie to obtain a licence whilst the SFA stood by and watched, then tried to cover up after Sherriff Officers made it public something was wrong when they called to collect an overdue payable that SFA decided wasn’t.

An investigation must also cover Regan’s part in the delay from when Res12 was first tabled in Nov 2013 to recent announcement of the investigation.

He is either negligent, incompetent or complicit and a JR can use what emerges from a proper investigation into the UEFA licence if a JR does proceed.

I have always been a glass half empty kinda person, anything else is a bonus imo, so I reckon the status quo will be the outcome, the powers know it, we don’t have the balls to fight them on our own.

I’m glad our board are not prepared to spin that one. I think my earlier post has shown valid. Why would a well run club publically challenge the same club myth when it’s such a minefield. my original post was in response to a post slating our board for not doing so!!

Why though should a new club be able to shamelessly parade the history of a club which went bust?

  8. QF on 21ST SEPTEMBER 2017 7:19 PM

You made a big play on Hibernian being liquidated…..turns out they were not. No biggie.

  9. sio .. etc

I made no big play about anything. i never mentioned liquidation. liquidation is actually a very recent legal status so to mention it would have displayed a total lack of understanding on my part. you can take on sevco, sfa, uefa or fifa on in terms of the same club myth and you’ll lose!! in practical terms!! that is why the club we love will not go anywhere near it. you pick fights you will win if you want to win. This is not a scotland issue. research Derry City!!

Radio Clyde taking calls from Celtic fans getting them to predict 7-1 score lines

I just want us to beat them

I won’t be betting Celtic to win(superstition thing)

But good luck to all the guys who fill their boots. I hope you win big time

I’ll just be happy to put them in their place

And they do have their place- way beloŵ us

    TET,

At least a line will be drawn under it, but where is the question.

I believe that we will prevail, as there are obviously big hitters on the case.

People who have the financial clout to retain senior counsel and a QC.

    We’re no’ playing games.

I wrote on here a year or so ago about how DD treats people who try to screw him. It was taken from a Sunday Times article at the time. Sorry I never kept it.

If your glass is still half full, get a smaller glass!

If we don’t get distracted we will beat them by playing football.

Have watched them a few times this season and they have very little shape ,purpose or skill.

They look like a long ball team who are defensively poor.

There is not one player in their team who would even make our bench.

The only x factor is Thomson who has previous in this fixture.

  14. Thom

If your glass is still half full, get a smaller glass!……….Should I no be getting a bigger glass ?…..I think you meant empty….anyways, aye, the line needs drawing, I remember when you posted that and thinking why the ef is DD not doing anything about getting cheated and no marks taking the piss.

All that has happened is that the club wrote to the sfa five years ago, the sfa did sfa and ignored us, we wrote to them again a month or so back, and imo the sfa would have ignored us again but this time they chose to leak the letter, for what reason is mind boggling, it may well have backfired on them, but only if we carry on with this, hopefully the no marks at the sfa have riled DD and Pedro enough to make them go for it and destroy them, one can only hope, cos if they don’t, the cheating will ramp up to a degree we have never seen before.

    Fan a tic

    Agree

But let me have my process

I hope they come after us

But surely he(Pedro)knows he has to sit in

Which will make it more difficult for us

  16. From Celtics point of view I’m not concernefvwho wins tonigjts quarter final. I do imagine tbat most Sevco fans would fancy their chances against Motherwell though. So for that reason its Mon the Danfies!

  17. No need to get distracted. The bigger game in the next week is v Anderlecht.

Let that lot have their day, if the fates ( MIB directed) decide so.

I am biased, I have no truck with games v that lot anymore. My own lhad is travelling up from London to be there. A few years ago, I would have been doing the same. I hope and pray we prevail: but only for his sake. After that I hope he gets home safely. This is not a football match anymore, not sure it ever was to be honest.

In case anyone thinks the fire has gone, I will still be very happy if we pump them but that will not be my primary concern.

I simply despair that we have found ourselves playing that mob again. It’s a blight on Scottish football ,that is my opinion on this fixture.

  18. embramike says ” Yer team’s deid…Beat it!” on

Couple of howlers from Sheep keeper Lewis – the ‘best goalie in Scotland’ !

2 – 0 Mothers but long way to go. Won’t matter to us in the draw either way.

pedro’s latched straight onto watp, simply the best etc. and has been parotting the hordes more and more recently – thems don’t see it of course.

  20. Don’t know how many from Ireland lurk on here these days but a good old Celtic supporter was laid to rest today in Warrenpont, Co.Down. He was a regular on the boat over to Scotland in the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s and went by the name of Bobo, he was well known to all travelling over to the games and what a character he was. He wasn’t well lately and had not been over in quite a while. RIP Bobo, you were one of a kind.

    TET,

If you have half a pint of beer in a pint glass, it will be half full.

If you put that half pint into a half pint glass, then it will be full!

I think a major factor in any overt Celtic action was the completion of the various court cases, including the Supreme Court decision.

This put so much court certified information into the public domain.

Prior to this, it was down to Charlotte Fakes and other uncertified sources to show what they were hiding.

We will win, because we can’t afford not to.

    High stakes indeed.

  22. Just a wee thought…. given that most think that Sevco will play Mwell and we get the Hibeees … how about a boycott by us and the Hibs fans as a protest against the corrupt SFA and it would be televised!.. and …. as a wee bonus both Celtic and Hibs would be entitled to a share of the gate of the other semi final as both are pooled …. Naw never happen !!!!

  23. Thom

“We will win, because we can’t afford not to.”

I wish I had your faith mi amigo, I really do, I have yet to see any justice towards our clu, not even justice, just fairness, it’s never come our way, if anything it’s the opposite, anything that hinders us is par for the course.

I honestly can’t see it changing now, the reason I say this is without thems, we stand to lose wheans, Pedro himself told us we lose £10 mill a season without them, so rocking the OF boat is not good for business, even tho we don’t us the OF words any more, HaHa, another joke.

So please forgive me for not having your faith, as I said I wish I did, I can only go on what’s happened before and from where I am sitting, it’s not looking great, we should have, and had the opperchancity to sort this out years ago, but the thot of losing the blue bigot pound took presidence over honesty.

  24. The cup draw is dependent upon whether the orcs need the money from a game v us now or if they can limp along for another while without it.

  25. All things are relative but very impressed with Motherwell’s first half showing. Helped by 2 goalkeeping blunders but impressive nonethelesd.

  26. Stairheedrammy – if as has been suggested the 2 semi final gates are pulled then arhuably the maximum aggregate attendance will happen if we dont play Sevco.

  27. fergusslayedtheblues on

so let me get this right

The SPFL have decided that they can’t go for a review without the backing of the SFA ,who are the ones that will be in the dock .

Naw there’s nothing wrong with scottish football right enuf .

    why do we bother
