  1. SPFL saying the SFA got our )( so we have got they’r)( covered too end of, now doors are wide open for the continuation of cheating, and Scottish fans you can do SFA about it you have shown your hand you bottled out and we gambled on it and we where right, we knew you where a gullible lot and would swallow anything, our only problem was the Celtic supporters and CFC , but with our Devide and Conquer blitz helped by the SMSM we eventually got there, sad sad day for our sport and those among us who didn’t have the fight to stand up to, bullying, cheating, corruption , and lies.

Apart from CFC and they’r fans, the rest should hang they’r heads in shame.

  2. Tambo’67- right that’s your order ready for payment and delivery.

  3. “SPFL chairman Murdoch MacLennan said: “The SPFL board has been clear that any meaningful review would have had to be carried out in association with the Scottish FA and with the full and active co-operation of both organisations.

Murdoch MacLennan eh,…. who’d ah thunk it? Where do they get these peepul from. Has the crowd funding started yet- haven’t had time to read back much yet.

problem with celtic speaking out about the same club myth is they have never done it with hibs. if they were to go too loud on it they might get hit with a chorus of bigots – don’t speak out against irish catholic clubs but listen to them go on about rangers.

Today 21st September is International Peace Day…

Thanks for that link. Quite evocative. I was being lulled by the voices of the choir when the heavy artillery struck. Brought me back to the moment and the need to reflect. And the reasons for the need of a day for Peace.

  7. The same Hibs whose chairman tried to have Celtic thrown out of league for flying the Irish flag?

Last i looked His are a Scottish club and always have been.

Can’t find any evidence of them playing in Irish league.

  8. QF on 21ST SEPTEMBER 2017 5:20 PM

Havent heard that point being argued out yet. Did Hibs go into liquidation as an incorporated PLC? I thought they just seized playing then carried on a few years later as a going concern?

  9. Folks

In a chat with another well kebt blogger he made the point about mixed messages on all matters Rangers/ebts/SFA etc and if any evidence were needed of the effect of that mix it’s right here on CQN.

Now listen carefully, I’ll say this only once (no I’ll not because it will get lost in the chatter but here goes).

There were THREE separate avenues open that have now been reduced to TWO.

The one gone is an enquiry in which both SFA and SPFL would have participated to look at how both handled the fallout of Rangers use of ebts. The SFA will not play ball because they know that they would come out of such a review so badly the SFA could not survive in its present form.

A Judicial Review is NOTHING to do with Celtic officially. They might want it but they will not finance it because they are members of the organisations that would be under scrutiny and are bound by SFA and SPFL rules not to shit in their own nest. That finance has come from supporters who have the money and will to fund a JR.

It is paying for the exploratory work done so far to establish if there is a case, how it might be brought and possible outcomes.

If those three ducks are in a positive row the case will cost mega bucks and will require crowd funding. So it’s a wait and see but those involved in the exploration have been making positive noises.

Number THREE (now TWO) is good ol Res12 which is shorthand for investigating the granting and monitoring of the UEFA Licence by the SFA in 2011.

For 4 years the SFA have been stalling on a proper investigation but have been forced by the power of the evidence with which they were presented as a result of the work of the Res12ers, to admit something was rotten in the state of Hampden.

Res12ers have serious reservations about the conduct of any SFA led enquiry for obvious reasons: SFA were party to the process, have known for some time where the bodies lie but done SFA, made public statements at odds with the truth, have misled journalists via their Head of Communication ( E Tims should have more to report tomorrow on that) and the Compliance Officer in post is the chap who failed to deal appropriately with information supplied from 2014.

If the SFA or indeed Celtic let this investigation proceed solely under the SFA umbrella then Regan has won and Peter Lawwell has lost.

There will be more detail into next week on why an SFA only investigation is unacceptable but as matters stand it is vital all Celtic supporters in the know and shareholders get behind PL and let him know they want him to ensure this UEFA licence investigation answers all the questions about how RFC were able to lie to obtain a licence whilst the SFA stood by and watched, then tried to cover up after Sherriff Officers made it public something was wrong when they called to collect an overdue payable that SFA decided wasn’t.

An investigation must also cover Regan’s part in the delay from when Res12 was first tabled in Nov 2013 to recent announcement of the investigation.

He is either negligent, incompetent or complicit and a JR can use what emerges from a proper investigation into the UEFA licence if a JR does proceed.

Hibs before Celtic emerged on the scene had an all Catholic playing staff policy. They went under after we bought their best players and took up the Irish Catholic mantra with prods thrown into the mix.

  11. hibs are two clubs. the first was an all catholic club started by irish in edinburgh that ran from 1875 to 1891. The second, the team today, was incorporated in 1893 and dropped the all catholic stance but kept the old clubs history.

A real fly in the ointment for celtic publicly fighting the same club myth.

  12. QF on 21ST SEPTEMBER 2017 5:56 PM

So, let me get this right, Hibs have never been liquidated?

Is the bastard version of Rangers ready for a hiding on Saturday they’ll never forget?

    Ave Ave

  13. hibernians ran up debt and went bankrupt in 1891. a seperate club, hibernian, started 18 months later called hibernian. the new club kept the old clubs history and is still with us. That makes it very difficult for celtic to speak out public ally against the new club myth because we never have about hibs.

  14. The new club at ibrox who are only 5 years old are due a real gubbing on saturday. it would be nice if we managed seven as they are absolutely crap based on the other recent glasgow derby. however i fear a sending off as it’s the only way they’ll win and it’s a MIB that has the power to affect that.

  15. Tim Malone Will Tell on

Hmmmm – I don’t think that Celtic have said a word about the Old club v New club myth – so I think our new friend QF is banging the wrong drum.

Now illegal registration of players is another matter entirely…

  16. QF on 21ST SEPTEMBER 2017 6:26 PM

For the third time asking, were Hibernian liquidated?

For the second time asking is the bastardised version of Rangers ready for a hiding come Saturday?

    Ave Ave

  17. Tonights LC Semi – this has to be the first cup draw ever that I don’t give a hoot who we get as we have a team more than capable of well beating any of our opponents – Sevco, Hibees, Sheepies or Motherwell. If we are on our game not one of them has a chance of beating us – Happy Days!

The SPFL call for a review was an attempt to have them and the SFA control the thing.

The SFA couldn’t afford to allow any light into their grubby corners.

Celtic have given the opportunity to operate within the rules…..they rejected the opportunity.

    It’s gloves off time now.

We can either take it to CAS or UEFA or, preferably, an independent JR.

Reading SFM and RTC, it would appear that a JR is the road preferred. They claim that they have sufficient funds to begin the feasibility study of such an action.

High level legal people have been retained and should it proceed to Court, crowd funding may/will be required.

I have heard ,on good authority, that P L wants heads to roll.

In the meantime, make sure we buy up all our tickets for the semi at Hampden, to show that the Celtic support mean business.

    BC or DC.

  19. liquidation didn’t exist in 1891 I think!! it’s only recently that bankrupt was given a softer administration alternative and liquidation the no longer exist option.

As a note to some recent posters who think i’m a recent poster – that just shows how recent a poster you are. i’m just explaining a reason why Celtic might not go public over the same club myth. not a troll!!

  20. Thom

The problem I have with a JR, which will cost a fair few bob is the SFA will just ignore it, the dugs on the streets know that they have something to hide, another thing, also there is no way will the sfa give any review any info they request, banging their heads off a brick wall imo

Uefa, I don’t know, will they look kindly at a club going against their association ?

CAS would be the route I would take, but I am only guessing, Pedro will know what may bring justice, he may decide that justice can’t be had and the cheats will have won.

I watched part of the SerieA game between Benevento ( never heard of them either) v Rome.

I looked them up and read that they were founded in 1929, but had financial difficulties in 2005 and folded. It seems that they “refounded” the same year.

“The club F.C. Sporting Benevento S.r.l. folded in 2005. At the same time Benevento Calcio S.p.A. was founded.”

    Full name Benevento Calcio SRL

    Nickname(s) Stregoni (Wizards)

    Founded 1929

    2005 (re-founded)

    Same club, I think not.

No surprise that the Strong Rangers Association don’t want themselves to be investigated. Goodness knows what that might uncover.

The lack of support from other clubs is disappointing, although probably not too surprising.

If they are happy with the people administering the game here then good luck to them! Would really hate to be a supporter of any of those clubs. Further mediocrity beckons.

BBC Sevcosound naturally cock-a-hoop (well, one part at least).

Along with Auldheid’s perspective given earlier you are giving sensible reassurance to a long war strategy that will pay dividends. Thank you.

  25. i think the same club myth is a squirrel- because of all the ‘same clubs’ out there the hun/sfa will always win that argument. It’s the fact that the old club were cheating bastards supported by the SFA that has to be the focus and it frustrates me that others don’t see that. but then again i might be wrong!

  26. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

    TET,

My last line is, to my mind, the final resting place of this business.

Celtic will have explored ll the avenues open to them.

All the evidence is out there. The SFA may be required to refute it.

If a judicial review determines that fraud, cheating and false issuing of licences occurred, then it is UEFA’s problem.

Even though they are crooked themselves, can they be seen to oversee a crooked Association?

This will eventually lead to our one way ticket out of Scottish football, or, force us to accept the status quo, which makes the club and all remaining supporters unwilling accomplices.

The third option is to become CLG Celtic.

  27. Just sitting here thinking in sunny Algarve…..

The GB Icelandic chant Cel-tic Cel-tic would work quite well for our wee pocket dynamo Ntcham.

  28. QF

The only target has to be the SFA, this is nothing to do with any hun team, the dead one are dead, the new one have nothing legally to do with the dead one, the only people making it otherwise are the hun media and those who want to discredit us.

Seems the governing authorities are circling the wagons. Not a terrible strategy, but not a good one either when the other side have all the ammo.

As AULDHEID has said, that’s one avenue closed. Not the end of the line.

IMO,this has to go to the CAS. The game in Scotland cannot be left in the hands of corrupt organisations, and the international bodies have a duty to ensure that the game is run properly EVERYWHERE under their jurisdiction.

(As an aside,if allegations that Murray pushed his bid for RFC over the line by way of a $1m bribe to Lawrence Marlborough could be proven, that would be a reason for the FBI to be involved. RICO,corruption involving US currency. Just a thought…)
