Dunfermline debacle caution ahead of Motherwell

996

Do you remember the game after the Cluj Champions League debacle last August?  Of course you do, you are still chasing the cold from you bones, it was a League Cup encounter with Dunfermline at Celtic Park, where the Championship club took the game to extra time.  The game, the only domestic cup tie in 34 games we have not won in 90 minutes, was six minutes from going to penalties before James Forrest settled things.

I don’t know what happened in the dressing room between Cluj and Dunfermline but I cannot imagine it is a happier workplace this week.  This is Celtic and everything goes on the line every game.  Let’s not have a repeat of the Dunfermline performance.

I know a few Motherwell fans and they are unanimous in their praise of David Turnbull, their star 21-year-old midfielder who joined Celtic on a reported £3m deal yesterday.  Turnbull originally signed for Celtic in June last year, before failing a medical.  A knee operation, and the best part of a year in recuperation, saw him clinch his dream move yesterday.

The question now for the manager is, how does he shape his midfield?  Therein lies the answer to our season.

Welcome to Celtic, David.

And want them all to succeed, we need to all calm down and get right behind our team and manager. This is the time they need our support

“Only a fool would try and predict the score of an “Old Firm game” (God forgive me)

His response to the question when asked the likely score after Willie Waddle said 2-0 Rangers

It’ll be interesting to see who’s favourites when the we next meet the current league leaders!

How many times have the board been at the capers about bonuses.

Ron – I agree bonus or not most of us would put our body on the line

    for Celtic.

I’m sure they did…..but I’m also sure they felt wronged for the duration of the match….can’t be good

How many managers now could be so clever?

He was superb with the media.

He used to hold up signings then announce them just as the

    Hvns had a good result.

How he never got a posthumous knighthood only the bigots know

  7. Gftb-apart from saying goodnight one day and still being here the next:-)

I know you probably can’t stop being snide in your posts, but can you leave the :-) out in those post because it doesn’t mask yir snidiness:-)))))))

  8. I think we should give feyenoord credit and not belittle the guys that crossed the white line that night with speculation

    All calm here …

Strangely enough I am sort of looking forward (after the 10 :-) to us not winning a league … mainly for my two nephews who sort of now think the league is a procession, even though during the Bank Of Scotland sponsored 9 @ row turned to me crying at 14 asking “uncle do we ever beat them” some of our younger fans and a lot of our older fans might need to taste defeat before they start enjoying Celtic winning stuff again :-)

My wee Hamilton troll can join his wee South Lanarkshire mucker :-)

If nothing else Philbhoy … I do attract them :-)

Even the smileys annoy them :-)

    Thankfully

I would really hate the other option of not being here 😂👍😂👍😂👍😂

  12. If our bits and bobs manager does leave for any reason, I keep telling you that John Kennedy will be our next manager, so all this dreaming of a proven coach is just that, dreaming.

  13. GFTB

    That’s a well made point

When you are losing you have hope

At the moment we have expectation.

That expectation puts a lot of good Celtic men in the firing line.

  14. How the fuck can people twist what someone says so blatantly????

Who, sorry WHO said anyone deliberately went it to lose the final? WHO said that?

  15. lets all do the huddle on

If our bits and bobs manager does leave for any reason, I keep telling you that John Kennedy will be our next manager

    —–

    well yes

but you forgot to put the word ‘caretaker’ before ‘manager’

which will last for 1 game before the new manager comes in

the devil is always in the detail!

  16. I’m not sure if I love Celtic more than I hate them taking the piss out of me.

    mmmmm

Arlene Foster is shorter odds than JK according to oddschecker.

Get a couple of bob on it mate.
