Dunfermline statement on Rangers

1133

This evening’s announcement by Dunfermline Athletic that they no longer expect to receive timely receipt of the £80,000 ticket money Rangers FC PLC (in administration) owe them will heighten concerns at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, who have a stock at tickets with Rangers right now, money for which will be received by the administrators in advance of their game later this month.

The administrators have yet to decide whether to retain high-earning players or make more funds available for existing creditors, and future creditors, like Inverness.  As ticket sales for the Inverness game are on-going, the administrators will need to be aware of their legal position before retaining a premium squad.

One final push (this week) for the Vanessa Riddle Appeal. We have a Celtic top signed by the first team squad available to auction on eBay. You can bid on the auction and help send Vanessa for the treatment she needs by clicking here. Thanks to Penfold for the donation and to Taggsybhoy for organising (yet again).

  1. guys, surely we must have someone lurking here who has an accountancy/legal background that can really give us an indication on what is likely to be the outcome of this and the timescale

    ps still laughin

  2. I wouldn’t worry to much about Salmond. He has as much power to save Rangers as I do. He is doing what he does best, ambulance chasing for a populist vote. he will soon be changing his tune when the arrests start

    Fair points amigo.

On the subject of PL Burnley78 pointed out earlier tonight that he has to do as he is bid by his employers and that he does their biddings well. PL has little room to deviate from the board’s wishes.

I trust PL to do us well in the coming barnies with all and sundry.

  5. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!! Tick Tock !! on

I see another one of our upstanding politicians (a lady no less) has stepped up to express deep concern for :

    1) The ordinary working men & women at Ibrox, who will lose their jobs because their employer was financially reckless over a 20 year period…..

    2) The Club who diddled the taxman, BIG TIME, and continue to do so….

    3) The Clubs, and creditors, who have lost a lot of money on this……etc

Oh, no,wait a minute…!!!…..got that wrong….!!!!….she wants the Government to step in and save them, because of the affect it would have on the Scottish Economy……she wouldn’t happen to be a current bun, by any chance…….she must be a rabid one, since every intelligent person in the UK must be wondering what planet she has just landed from.

Listen, darling away into a wee dark room and think about just what has been going on at that club for the past 20 years….this is the biggest scandal EVER to hit Scotland ….. shame on you………do you really think anyone outside the West of Scotland gives a shoite about what happens to them ?…..when you’re in that wee room, think about Ravenscraig, Woolworths and a million (sorry, Billion) other Companies who have gone into administration, and not through fiddling, cheating etc …..and noone intervened in these cases… £100+m for God sake…….

When you come out of the room, could you please bring keevins etc out with you….and the rest of his cronies….

There’s no way back for them…..!!!!!….doon the pan (unless the Administrator has sold it to pay for Cousin’s taxi……this is getting funnier by the day..!!!..and the media are starting to panic…….

Meanwhile over at Celtic Park, we will continue to enjoy watching our team, safe in the knowledge that our finances are in ‘good honest hands’, similar to the VAST MAJORITY of other Clubs world……they deserve everything they get for their financial strategy…£100m ffs

Mrs JD (Hun) returned from her weeks jaunt to Scotland with the Bhoy earlier today. It was great to see him after such a long time away from moi…. That was until I remembered the “Haven’t a no told yi for the past twa years that rainjurz were in the deep doodoo” statement to Mrs D in a big Colegate smiley puss smug mode grin :D

Mrs D (Hun) turned round and had a look in her eye and an anger in her voice I have not seen or heard in our 20+ years together. She said…. Remember the Biscuit tin… in an elevated growl? Now I never really thought of Mrs D as an Orc but we live in strange times. It felt like that scene in Independence Day when the President went up to the Alien behind the glass and asked it what do they want from us and the Alien says “Die” then emits a high frequency deafening sound just before being shot.!

As things deteriorate badly down at Mordor, I think we all better watch out for Orc retribution, because if Mrs D (Hun) can be affected by the Orc demise I dread to think the bloody aftermath their extinction would bring.

    Be Safe,

Whatever else happens remember this – they are in ADMINISTRATION.

What weve long known – that their “superiorty” was a self delusion and their business practices dubious to say the least – has become publicly and officially recognised.

That can never be deleted from the history books.

This isnt over – some of what follows in the next weeks , months and years will make us laugh as we have this week. Some will infuriate us as those who should know better bend over backwards to help them. Some may even makes us feel sorry for those innocently caught up in the fall out as suppliers struggle to recover sums rightly due.

One way or another one indisputable fact remains and will never be forgotten or lived down.

On 14 2 2012 Rangers FC PLC became Rangers FC PLC (In Administration).

    fanadpatriot….that is a very profound / accurate observation……!!!!!

  17. Salmond opening his gob may well be thee worst thing to happen. The London based parties are taking up diametrically opposite stances to him on everything at the moment. He has just given Cameron or somebody else a free shot straight at his haw maws….I am sure there are plenty here who could write a lovely soundbite for “Dave” to slap Salmond down

  18. Things seem a little quiet over at the SFA with all this going on.

    Ogilvey, Reagan et al,

IS WHYTE A FIT AND PROPER PERSON THEN?

Still waiting to hear their decision. Shocking!

How come TFOD had a euro licence?

How come no one questioned their books?

What do you guys do down there, apart from offering retirement plans to ex Orcs?

Yes, Captain Picard hits the nail on the head with those comments in the London Standard. The public purse cannot afford to subsidise the financial incontinence of football.
