Dunfermline statement on Rangers

1133

This evening’s announcement by Dunfermline Athletic that they no longer expect to receive timely receipt of the £80,000 ticket money Rangers FC PLC (in administration) owe them will heighten concerns at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, who have a stock at tickets with Rangers right now, money for which will be received by the administrators in advance of their game later this month.

The administrators have yet to decide whether to retain high-earning players or make more funds available for existing creditors, and future creditors, like Inverness.  As ticket sales for the Inverness game are on-going, the administrators will need to be aware of their legal position before retaining a premium squad.

One final push (this week) for the Vanessa Riddle Appeal. We have a Celtic top signed by the first team squad available to auction on eBay. You can bid on the auction and help send Vanessa for the treatment she needs by clicking here. Thanks to Penfold for the donation and to Taggsybhoy for organising (yet again).

  1. one thing for certain.

as he so openly spouted for 2/3 years ,its a good job david murray never sold rangers to ‘anyone’!!!

imagine the mess they could have been in !!!!

  2. We have seen how easy it is to fool rangers fans [murray,whyte/white] now why wouldnt administrators be upbeat and confident after all they want money to keep coming in,

they are hardly gonna say its impossible on their first day, remember there is money to be had and these guys get well paid by the hour.

Happy to read your earlier post relating to the work place.

I wonder how the bigot who made the ‘joke’ within your hearing range is feeling now.

Revenge is a dish best served with jelly and ice cream!!

  4. Auldheid, been missing your wisdom this past week and a bit.

You’ve no seen a googly-eyed lad around there with suitcases brimming with banknotes have you?

I ask, ’cause my good friend, Hector, would like a word with him.

I like your game, but I only have two.

1920s. Mr Prentice and Mr. Struth, I hope you can see what your institution has come to.

    Get it roon yees.

  6. The Exiled Tim,

You would have approved; elegant Spanish rose.

I’m keeping the champagne on ice until we have the liquidation of The People.

  7. Salmond quotes;

    A selection of Salmond’s comments tonight from Matt Mcglone;

“The most important thing is to get an agreement between Rangers & the HMRC”

“The most important thing is that Rangers are able to continue as a football club, that’s the absolute critical matter”

    Vote SNP, I say.

    George Galloway has just tweeted…

Would you be in line for a ticket for Ibrox?

The players have a right to our support, particularly in that midden, so don’t agree with not taking tickets for the game.

No doubt who get’s your support. Who gets your cash ? Each to their own I suppose.

  10. My favourites thus far:

Nothing illegal in what he has done as far as i can see

Maybe he’s safeguarded that £9 million for the future use of Rangers rather than give it to the tax man.

Surely the workings of utterly deranged minds. Oh, right enough they’re from (no more) follow follow.

Regan has had long enough imo to stamp his authority, still no respone to the fit and proper thing, while I understand the sfa are kacking themselfs, their lack of communication is telling, they have much to hide.

They are responsible for this debacle, had they not allowed the hun to to ride rough shot over all in the game, none of this would have happened, this goes much, much deeper than football mi amigo, and I think that is plain for all to see.

As for PL, I have critisised him many times in the past, but these crits. have been on his policy on the running of the club on the football side of things, on the balance sheet angle, he has done us proud, and for that I am eternally gratefull.

His day will come, and I for one am so looking forward to it.

In all honesty I didn’t think it would happen in my lifetime, but it’s happening, and again I am glad I am around to see it.

When the chips are down the true feelings of these people come out.

Hearts supporting Salmond will be gutted when a Scottish institution like the huns is liquidated.

Quite sure cqn, green brigade etc could arrange/organise the crowd do the huddle when Ran*ers die, at the exact same time as the team, just before kick at next weds game. That would be a sight…

  20. Opinions and attitudes are going to have to crystallise over the next few days and weeks, and true colours are going to be revealed as hypocrisy fails to hold back reality.

Some people are going to surprise us I reckon, on the positive – and negative – side. At least we’ll know who we’re dealing with.

  22. Just watched a different interview with Salmond on SSN where he talks of rangers adding to the fun of Scottish football for the next 100 years.

Fud, he really hasn’t got a clue.

Thank you very much – I thought Paul McBride was quite simply sensational there. He didn’t cut corners and told it as it is, the Huns are screwed! I particullary loved the part where he said as a result if spending money they didn’t have, rangers win titles they shouldn’t have, having negative impacts on clubs who do live within their means (ie us!)

    Brilliant!
