Ellis throws administration a legal curveball

1263

The very last thing anyone connected with Rangers wanted to read this morning is that Andrew Ellis, Craig Whyte’s former associate, is suing the Rangers owner for 24.9% of the club’s shares.  This puts a further legal impediment in the way of any potential transfer of shares or stadium assets from Whyte to a new party.  It remains to be seen if Ellis is in a position to legally enforce his claim however the veracity of his claim may be moot.

Prospective Rangers buyers do not have time to spend in court hearings and appeals before the start of the new season.  If a phoenix (or even a CVA) is to be put in place it is likely that those with a claim, any claim, will need to be satisfied.

This development comes a week after Whyte transferred the security over Ibrox he holds through Rangers FC Group Ltd to Liberty Corporate Ltd.

Legal issues over ownership of shares and assets aside, Rangers’ administrators still have to deal with creditors, in particular, HMRC, who will soon learn if their tax demand against the club has been upheld by the First Tier Tribunal, and Ticketus.  Duff and Phelps were denied the right to set aside the deal which Ticketus struck with Rangers to buy thousands of seasons tickets, leaving a path open for Ticketus to present a legal challenge to any deal which does not recognise their interests.

Chances of an early exit from administration appear to be diminishing by the day. Motherwell were in administration for four days short of two years between April 2002 and April 2004. If Rangers are not out of administration on the morning the new season kicks off they would start on minus 10 points.

With a bit of luck the idea of separation of responsibilities so that SFA supply and SPL monitor will take hold and stop any cozy relationships developing

Some people say that many footballers find their ‘job’ a chore and not at all cracked up to be what Joe Public thinks is, but for you John, what was it like getting up in the morning knowing you played for the World’s greatest team?

  9. Mick :- I hope the following answers your question. Before anyone attacks me please not I am not a mason and the reply was not sent to me but taken from a site.

    Answer

    Brother Todd,

My initial hunch relating the symbol to Royal Arch Masonry was correct, and of course given that the number is shown inside the Royal Arch itself, I suppose rather obvious to anyone. This is an example of a derivative symbol .. a symbol representing another symbol with deeper meanings of its own. After a little time in my library, I was able to conclude that the reference 2 ½ within the Royal Arch is a direct reference to the Ark of the Covenant, which is central to the Mysteries of the Royal Arch. This is the answer to the question, and now it remains to explain that answer. I should mention, by the way, that while I have held the Three Degrees and the 32º for many years, and am also a Noble of the Ancient Arabic Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, I have never taken the Degrees of the York Rite; I have always meant to.

The Ark of the Covenant is described as having measured 2 ½ Cubits by 1 ½ Cubits by 1 ½ Cubits. This is the proportions 5 by 3 by 3. More telling is the dimension of the Mercy Seat which covered the Ark which measured 2 ½ by 1 ½ Cubits. Now the Cubit is almost certainly based on the very ancient unit of length sometimes referred to as the Megalithic Yard, a Cubit being the length of a pendulum which would swing exactly 366 cycles during 1/366 part of the rotation of the Earth. This unit can be perfectly reproduced anywhere on the Earth by this means, note the reference I the Book of Enoch.

Saying that the symbol of 2 ½ within the Royal Arch represents the Ark of the Covenant is, of course, not really that significant, unless one begins the understand the underlying meaning of the number itself and why it is important. The proportion 2 ½ to 1 ½ relates to the proportion 5 to 3 which is most deeply significant in Masonry and alludes to the most ancient Arcanum of the Craft. 3, 4 and 5 are representative of the Three Lesser Lights of Masonry, a full understanding of which underlies the meanings of all symbols and allegories of the Craft, as well as most of those of other traditions, as well. No Mason can recall his Raising into the 3º and not instantly realize that the number 5 is of the greatest importance in Masonry. 5 is the answer to the riddle of Pythagoras and the key to understanding the Mystery of the Right Triangle. Five is representative of the Arcane knowledge of Venus and the Metronome, and Venus rising before the sun is the Morning Star. This is the star that once in 8 years bathes the chamber at Newgrange in a special light as it has for over 5,000 years, and was the Light of the Shekinah that was the Glory of the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Temple of Solomon. This is the Star in the East, both to the Mason and the Magi, and the Five Pointed Star was the symbol of Wisdom to the ancient Egyptian Priests, into whose Mysteries Moses was Initiated, and whose Initiation was revealed in the Mosaic Myths, culminating in the Mysteries of the Ark of the Covenant and the Tabernacle. This was the Mystery recovered by the Perfect Elu and recovered from the Chambers below the ruins of the Temple.

I am adding one bit in reference to the phrase ‘marked-well’. This is an ancient reference, and like most True Masonic Symbols, is far older than the Craft is acknowledged to be. To Mark Well references the measurements of the Sunrise. To properly align a Lodge, one must ‘Mark Well’ the rising of the Sun on the Feast days of the Holy Saints John, which marking will denote absolute due East. This done at sunrise on the winter Solstice is the ancient mode of aligning the Corner Stone, and derives from the fact that in the very ancient times, temples were aligned to this rising. One must go back to roughly 294 – 405 BCE (my calculations) before the Winter Solstice rising corresponds to December 25, the precise alignments being on four year periods since there is somewhat of a ‘wobble’ in the way this actually falls. Our calendar was irrelevant in those days, anyway since the most ancient of these peoples made use of the Sidereal (aligned to the Stars) Year of 366 days. The Feast Day of Saint John the Baptist is June 24, and the Feast Day of Saint John the Evangelist is December 27. Marked Well, the sunrise on the Feast Day of Saint John the Evangelist falls upon the Winter Solstice between 393 and 294 BCE. Marked Well, the Feast Day of Saint John the Baptist falls on the Summer Solstice between the years of 4 CE and 115 CE. The variations are possibly a result of either changes from the earlier calendars, or bureaucratic meddling in Rome. Either way, the essence is clear, that these two feast days mark the Northern most and Southern most points of passage of the Sun. Such knowledge is essential to properly align and set out a True Masonic Lodge for the placement of Boaz and Jachin, as well as the Altar. The Blazing Star will, therefore, arrive at its appointed place above the Worshipful Master at the Vernal Equinox once in every Eight Years as the most Ancient Brethren would have understood.

This is about as far as I can take our discussion in this place, my Brother. I hope you have found this discussion as informative as I have found it delightful and interesting!

    Its a stonecutters ritual.

By means of placing their hands on a table, they form a little triangle “A” shape.

This tells one cutter that the other cutter is in distress in the argument with a non practicing person from outwith the kraft.

However, the person, making the “A” shape must also roll his shoulders, backwards twice. If however he does it thrice this means somthing completely different , and is interpreted by the apprentice as

“The mighty temple house may not be open”

and the time honoured response is to offer assistance by means of coins , the value of which should be written on a piece of paper, arched by a scribe ,

on this occasion i would translate the reply as

“2 and a half pounds, thats the bottom line”

  16. The arcane,so-called ‘knowledge’ of The Masons is an absolute irrelevance in the 21st. Century. They are just a not-so-secret ‘old boys’ club with some sinister goings-on.

    The Masons operate worldwide.

For the longest time, the variant in Scotland was ‘The Scotch Rite’,innocuous in comparison to ‘The Orange Order’ which seems to have gained predominance in Scotland. The O.O. is a beast of an entirely different stripe, whose core intention is the suppression of Catholicism and the Irish (Republicans,Nationalists; and the Irish immigrant community in Scotland),by any means necessary. And they mean it. RFC(ia) is an adjunct of The O.O.

Their modern ethos is ultra-violent and they prey on the ill-educated. They have links to groups like The KKK and they are not averse to serious criminality to further their ends. A judicial enquiry is long overdue into their activities, but this is unlikely as they disseminate fear & use their ‘legitimate’ Masonic connections to stay intact and in place.

They are utterly despicable, and anyone who supports RFC(ia) is buying into a fascist criminal organisation.

I think the riot you refer to was a 1969 Fairs Cup(prelude to the old UEFA Cup) tie at St James’s Park in 1969. I do believe it was the first of many subsequent riots Scotlands shame enjoyed! (Birmingham,Barcelona,Manchester and numerous others).
