There was some misunderstanding that Charles ‘Emerald’ Green’s suggestion that he was hoping to “invest in the playing side right away” might not play well with major creditor HMRC. When Celtic took to the field at Ibrox under Mowbray with 4 loanees on the pitch it was clear the long term planning of the then boss was somewhat lacking.
To say the least.

Gordon is a once top class keeper coming back from injury.
If his medical suggests the recovery is complete then he’s one of the few ways to get a top class keeper without spending mega bucks…

That makes sense. I don’t doubt HMRC are being as thorough as usual with regards to every miscreant penny.
Makes me wonder how much scrutiny in comparison the SFA and SPL will apply to the EBT scenario, and the re-writing of many years of results and trophies that would this would entail…..and how much much longer it will take them to come up with their own (incomplete) assessment of the situation.

re the Man City Trophy Room or lack of one and the missing FA Cup replica, I know that when he built the extension to the front of the Main Stand in 87 that during the building work lots n lots of old trophies, paintings, memoribillia etc were found hidden in cupboards, under stairs and other places and subsequently put on display in the new extension.
