‘Emerald’ Green aims for Champions League

1007

There was some misunderstanding that Charles ‘Emerald’ Green’s suggestion that he was hoping to “invest in the playing side right away” might not play well with major creditor HMRC.  Capital introduced to the company after a CVA has nothing to do with a creditor’s assessment of the offer and, if anything, would offer comfort to HMRC that the company would be able to maintain future payments.

The comments are more of a challenge for the football authorities.  The independent SFA appellant panel will today assess whether to increase, reduce of remove Rangers 12 month player registration embargo.  Rangers narrative for the last two weeks is that this embargo could put them out of business.  Apparently, they need to spend MORE money in future to ensure survival.

It remains to be seen if playing victim does them any good at appeal but Green has brushed this away, Rangers now plan to put a team on the field to win the league and reach the Champions League.  Maybe not the wisest PR move.

John O’Hara, the Celtic secretary, had been unable to lure Kelly. Glass, however, was indefatigable and said he had ‘camped on his doorstep’. The 22-year-old was talked into taking part in Celtic’s first ever match, a 5-2 win over Rangers. ‘No Kelly, no Keltic’ became a catch phrase summary of the towering centre half’s significance. ‘I knew that if I could get Kelly, the rest would follow’, said Glass.

Imagine me not splitting the bir sey – the shame!

ha ha, i’m sure you’ll survive.

  3. I’ll say again, Jan Mucha number 2 from Everton is the answer. He has contract until June 13. He would be very happy to go to Celtic. Similar to Boruc from his best times at Celtic.

  4. When Mucha was leaving Legia Warsaw he had few good offers. His dream was team from EPL where he went.

missing the point of bhoycott next season, gate horse after bolt, too late as usual.

  6. I notice Roy Hodgson is taking John Terry for footballing reasons and his actions against Barcelona was unfortunate. FFS he hit the guy from behind when the ball was 20 yards away and so was everyone else. He then denied it at half time, then changed his story at full time.

Take Joey Barton for the same footballing reasons and see if everyone agrees with your “unfortunate” choices.

So it’s now afternoon time and I haven’t heard if the huns transfer embargo and crippling fine has been overturned. It wasn’t rangers that dunnit it was a big boy who ran away, (I think his name was Craig)

    Whats happening?

guessing the appeal result will take as long as the original investigation process and more depending on EBT result, like everything else.

  11. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Afternoon all,

I’ve just come across the “get-out clauses” for the Ibrox first team.

Does anyone else on here think these are bollocks?

What if no one wants to pay the money being quoted?

These so called deals allegedly kick in on 1st June.

This leaves plenty of time for a club to be in breach of contract by not paying players their full salary – thus making them free agents long before the transfer window closes on 31st August.

Why would anyone sign up to an agreement that still allows your employer to put a premium on your head but yet cannot guarantee that you’ll be paid?

    Mr Z..,

I expect the money he’s on as second keeper at everton is still way out of our range.

people pay good money for that kind of treatment :o)

  16. Len Brennan

When he was leaving us we offered him 450 000 euros per year. Mucha wanted to the EPL (not to France, not to Germany). Everton agreed personal terms quicky and Mucha left us. He is still number one for Slovakia. If you ask Legia supporters who was better Boruc or Mucha, I suppose the results would be circa 50 to 50.

    How mucha?

No more 1 million I think. He wants to play. Last year Legia tried to get him on loan. We were close.

  17. Personally I’m always delighted when Celtic players are NOT selected for international duty.

If the Record is leading with the story how D&P reduced the player assets at hunland from 25m to a possible 8m … dont the creditors have some kind of recourse of action ?

I’m actually shocked that he can even speak, I’ve only ever seen him use gestures or mouth the words FFS as Gary Hooper skelps the back of his net once again!

Shame I’ll be out and miss his words of undoubted wisdom, if it’s him and Daaayellllll together it could be a world first of monosyllabic treats.

Best holiday of my life in Olu Deniz. Went about 8-10 years ago – no idea what it’s like now.

Well you already know that the beach is amazing! Hisarono, just up the hill from Oiu is really busy now. I went for the first time 10 years ago and it is still jumping up that way. You should go back!!

  21. Canamalar

He wants to play. Not a greedy clown but wonderful person.

Good luck to Everton if they want to keep the guy who wants to leave them one year before the end of the contract.

I picked up a young fella on the way to a Wake yesterday.

He said that he hadn’t been to one before, so didn’t know the form.

I explained to him that when he went into the Wake house, he would shake hands with the bereaved, say, “Sorry for your trouble”,and move on.

I followed him into the house and when he met the widow, he shook her hand and said, “Sorry for you trouble. Move on”.

  23. KD – probably one of the best players I have ever seen (and I saw him play for Cumbernauld United). Terrible manager though who lived on his undeserved reputation! Good decision by Liverpool.
