Over the summer I could frequently be heard muttering, “We need a left back”. Despite returning from injury at the turn of the year, Emilio Izaguirre was unable to command a regular starting place in the team. His occasions starts provided evidence why. With Charlie Mulgrew the most authoritative central defender in the squad the left back slot looked like our most vulnerable position.
Emilio’s early form this season was no better, especially in the Champions League qualifiers, but recent weeks has seen the player return to his very best. His confidence seems to have returned as he is taking opponents on with purpose which had been missing for over a year.
On this form, we can look forward to seeing him test himself at the Camp Nou.

were is the missing celtic supporters ,sunday game not a couple of hundred ,more like 8 or 9 thousand not there,why is that, maybe its time for some new faces in the celtic boardroom, and other places,not coaches or playing staff,i think there is to many old faces in positions at celtic,who are not up to it anymore,

if celtic are offered 10 million for waynama ,take it ,he is a good player, but at times he gives the ball away to easy. and what about the crowd on sunday,were are those missing thousands.i think its time for some new men or women to run celtic football club,terrible atmosphere as well. maybe its some of the music that gets played ,awful songs at times

I was driving a car from the great state of Maine to Florida at the weekend, whilst skirting New York I was listening to one of the bigger AM radio stations, CBS880, to keep up to date with traffic and weather when the newscaster said that the most popular costumes being ordered for halloween were “ZOMBIE” costumes, she also stated that many smaller cities were organizing 5K “ZOMBIE” runs. Maybe thems do have a big following in the U.S. after all…???
