Extra week training in July has huge impact

2173

I was concerned about a trip to Estonia after hearing Hearts struggle in their home leg against Estonian opponents last week, so news that Gibraltar’s Lincoln Red Imps beat Flora Tallinn was welcome, although the concern was tempered as news arrived that Hearts were three goals up in the away leg.

The lesson here is that in July, one more week’s training has a huge impact on performance.

Brendan Rodgers will be happy with how training has progressed thus far, but it’s only when players put multiple 90 minutes under their belts that they are ready for competitive action. There’s not necessarily a great deal of work to do to overcome Red Imps (no offence intended), but qualifiers come thick and fast thereafter. Despite beating Slovenian champions Olimpija Ljubljana yesterday, I expect Celtic will be more motivated for Saturday’s game against Maribor.

It gets serious from now onwards.

  1. As it stands, whilst not denigrating the efforts of those involved, the only tangible outcome appears to be that when the Ibrox club qualifies for European competition, they will be allocated a co-efficent proper to a club new to Europe.

Will this be the case – will it not be given the country’s co-efficent?

What is the next step – what is the aim?

Also just to say,I can remember way back Canamalar asking and getting feedback from the blog about an idea he had in constructing a question which turned into resolution 12.

That Bhoy should be proud today regardless of the incalculable help he received from some Larsson like legends.

The resolutioners have put the information on the desk of UEFA to question the irregularities with the SPFL.

They made a statement and should /could follow it up.

We all know the huns have their own man in there, that is my bone of contention.

Do thems still have that pull?

I think the whole process could have and should have been better managed from the outset with a clear objective in view.

All the work done until now might just prepare the way for that to happen.

Having cleared away the idea Res12 was an attempt by Celtic and their supporters to have RFC or TRFC sanctioned, something the media and SFA would have been happy about, perhaps focus will now turn on the SFA, not just any failings in 2011 but their responses to Celtic and us since.

    Fingers crossed.

Thank you and the other Requisitioners for your efforts thus far. We all knew that the they were not granted a licence for 2012/2013; this I get because they were put into administration on on 14th February 2012 and the newco started in the Division Three. I have four questions:

Do you expect CFC to make a statement and if so when?

Do you expect CFC to take up the mantle now and if so when?

In your Heart do you anticipate the SFA to concede they are a new club/company?

When will the UEFA Letter be given to the London based Newspaper and what do you think will be achieved, perhaps that the MSM/SMSM to come on board?

In my opinion you are two thirds of the way there, you will have totally reached your objective when CFC and the SFA recognise them as a new club/company.

    Keep the Faith!

    Hail Hail!

  13. Lots of positivity tonight, I for one do not want to rain on anyone’s parade.

If anyone thinks that the Next Sevco strip and the current one will not have five stars on it, they are mistaken. If anyone thinks their quest for number 55 will be halted, forget that also.

Not one single person of note will take them on.

By saying this I do not want to disparage the the sterling work done in highlighting to the world ,that little cesspit we exist in for the purposes of football.

There is only one light powerful enough that could illuminate the dark forces at work to preserve the WATP mentality.

The force of liight and truth is within us, within our club. I do not understand how Celtic Football Club cannot see how powerful, they are at the moment. We are Giants in a Pygmy land.

If we can somehow qualify for the CL,our position is further enhanced. The SFA need to be seen as players in the game, without Celtic they are feck all!

I never want to see us as bigger than we are or to be seen as having the ” wha’s like us” mentality of the Orc. However, now is the time to show the SFA who brings more prestige to Scottish football: Celtic FC or a bunch of florid faced, jumped up middle managers with ill fitting Blazers.

Been out and just catching up. Thanks to Winning Captains and Auldheid for the update and answers. Thanks also to James Forrest for his analysis of the responses from UEFA.

Clearly SFA failed in its duty of care to member clubs by lack of due diligence in accepting the dead club’s assurance by a laissez faire attitude to supervision and is clearly unfit for purpose.

Heartiest congratulations to the Resolutioners and Winning Captains for their unstinting efforts to ascertain the truth and for their perseverance whilst others sought to thwart or undermine their efforts.

Hopefully whatever remains to be done to clarify remaining issues and a just resolution will soon be achieved. Hail, Hail

  16. Well done the Res-ers.

And good luck with the remainder.

One concern I have regarding the “new club” fact. The co-efficient many not provide further conclusive proof (as if it’s needed). If 5 years elapse between when the old club last gain co-ef points and the new club qualify for Europe, would this not result in the co-efficient starting from scratch regardless of whether it is a new club or old club?. As points are wiped after 5 years.

  17. ron67 on 8th July 2016 6:57 pm

it is suggested that UEFA has effectively stated that Sevco is a “new club/company”. That is all well and good, but unless the correspondence is published it will quickly be dismissed .

***Nothing changes if this is not endorsed by the powers at be.

  29. I bow to no-one in my admiration and appreciation of the Res. 12 boys and all who have supported the venture.

It is a great result that you have got as far as you have done. So please do not feel that I am criticising you guys in what I say next.

    What have we changed?

We appear to have got a side of the mouth admission from UEFA to the effect that they stopped pursuing the issue because they saw them as a new club/company.

Although we have interpreted that ambiguous conflation to our advantage, the guys on the other side, aided and abetted by Level 5 will be saying the same. They will say that, of course the old company died but UEFA has made no clear pronunciation on the club. By clear I mean a simple declarative sentence that these are two different clubs- no conflations- no confusion and no ambiguity or wriggle room.

There have been 3 hours that have passed since CQN gave its version of what is contained in the correspondence and not one newspaper outlet has picked up and commented on it. If they felt there previous advertised lies were about to be undercut from official sources they would be busy moving their position so that they would be able to tell you within a week that they always knew there was something dodgy going on and UEFA have just agreed with us. That is how the newspaper/propaganda business works. Yet, on this occasion, they seem comfortable in ignoring the white noise from the bampots out there.

So, before we declare ourselves the winners let us admit the boundaries of what we have won and admit what we have yet to achieve.

We have a seeming admission- no more- from a largely uninterested and unenthusiastic source at Uefa- which tells us- we at Uefa do not need to do anything because it is a different entity.

Even on friendly sites- well as friendly as you can get in the bitchy world of Celtic Cyberspace- today’s announcement has been treated as a bit of a damp squib. An unfair perception definitely but a telling one because, if our friends are underwhelmed then our enemies in this discourse will feel little need to respond or give this any space in their world view at all.

Now, I know the guys involved are all too wise, too persistent and too resourceful to see today as any kind of end point. These great guys have given us encouraging news today but it is not yet the death blow to the Continuity Myth.

Celtic fans are claiming that it just confirms what we already know i.e. that they died. But we do not “know” this at all: at present we merely believe it and have no official confirmation of our belief in any official record book. In fact, we are dismissed yet as minority cranks.

It will not be real, factual or known (by anyone) until it is a widely accepted and officially legitimised and recorded fact. We have still to reach that blessed state.

So well done all you guys. May this interim result give you the confidence and courage to go on further to achieve the end.
