A line has hopefully been drawn under the stress Neil Lennon has lived under during the last two years with the conviction of two men found guilty of sending bombs in the post. In a statement, Neil said: This has been a very stressful and difficult time for myself and my family and clearly I am glad that it is over”, before adding, “I will forever be thankful to the Police for the way in which they have handled this matter.”
Celtic chief executive, Peter Lawwell, added: “No one could imagine the pressure [Neil Lennon] has been under during the past two years. He has coped with this particular episode, last year’s assault and the, at times, seemingly unrelenting attacks from many quarters.
“In my opinion, no-one in Scottish footballing history has had to contend with this level of pressure whilst trying to do their job. Neil Lennon is someone who has shown tremendous character and resilience, and we will continue to support Neil in any way we can.”
This month has been made all the more difficult for Neil Lennon by the sudden death of Paul McBride, also a target of the bombing campaign. Neil Lennon said, “Finally, I would like to mention my good friend Paul McBride. His sad passing remains very raw to those close to him, we continue to miss him dearly and my thoughts remain very much with Paul’s family.”
The SFA have written to Neil Lennon three times since the start of the trial earlier this month to capitalise on perceived transgressions by the Celtic manager while yesterday a former referee used his newspaper column to undermine Neil’s position at Celtic.
These people really do need to get a grip.
Within minutes of the verdict being announced yesterday news of Stilian Petrov’s serious illness was made public. Stilian will received the very best medical attention and all our prayers.

Goodnight to all Tims throughout the world.TAL
Bhoys, I had a run in on the tube today. Took my bhoy to buy some new clothes and got the underground on the way back. Guy was spouting about how the blacks had undermined his position and took the post he was after. Foul, abusive language. So i challenged him. “Sorry mate.” he says then ten seconds later he’s at it again. Told him that he should be ashamed but he just sneered.
Wonder what team he supports?
Folks, please, please religion is in the soul. It can be Christian, Rabbi, Mula or Pope etc. Tell me, what’s that got to do with the ethos that’s CFC?
Mic
On that good news i will kindly say goodnight to one and all.
And look forward to a great game today.
Cannae wait.
HH.
Especially you tonight TR.
Art of War
It initial offended me when Keeping said it…but it is more of a reflection back on him and the msm trying to defend themselves in the glare of the light cast on them by the new media and some exceptions in the msm.
Going for a beer sounds a solid idea.
When you look at the alternative options you could only be a Celtic support fan that is if God hadn’t blessed you with already by making you born one
The end game draws closer ……

Love the quote “We must accept, though, that we have in Rangers a financially-stricken institution and there is an amount of toxicity in there as a result of what’s gone on”.
Toxic just about sums them up.
Hail! Hail!

I have a spare ticket for St Johnstone game today. Lisbon Lions Stand, upper tier, 2nd row back.
Does e/one think that the £6/7 million for Hooper will ever be offered again?

Celtic Football Club was founded by an Irish Marist Brother and based on the principle of Christian charity. In that same generous spirit of Christian charity, it is a club “open to all”, regardless of creed or class or colour. (thumbsup)

Happy April 1st

I will always maintain that Hooper’s goal,in the first derby game of the season at Skiprat Stadium, was one of the most clinical finishes that I have ever seen in my life.(despite the result)
Art Henry
The build up to Hooper’s finish wasn’t too bad either:

Superb goal.
Tell ye another thing as well – POTY? Tony Stokes or Scott Brown – I can’t decide.
Stokesy lifted the side up by the scruff of the neck, and lead them on to a few pivotal victories, when we were struggling bad…and when Scott Brown was out injured – Since our captain returned,he himself has been immense…powerful footballer he is.
The £4.5million that we paid for him is looking like a steal,a real bargain.
Not only should we celebrate our magnificent leader, but we should also celebrate our gallant footballers, whom have taken the club to the brink of title success.
GLASGOW CELTIC CHAMPIONS oOoOoOoooOooh..!
Honduras clinch an Olympic berth 3-2 v El Salvador.
This is just the beginning,as Lenny himself once said.
Next stop European Champion’s League.
Over & out.
