A line has hopefully been drawn under the stress Neil Lennon has lived under during the last two years with the conviction of two men found guilty of sending bombs in the post. In a statement, Neil said: This has been a very stressful and difficult time for myself and my family and clearly I am glad that it is over”, before adding, “I will forever be thankful to the Police for the way in which they have handled this matter.”
Celtic chief executive, Peter Lawwell, added: “No one could imagine the pressure [Neil Lennon] has been under during the past two years. He has coped with this particular episode, last year’s assault and the, at times, seemingly unrelenting attacks from many quarters.
“In my opinion, no-one in Scottish footballing history has had to contend with this level of pressure whilst trying to do their job. Neil Lennon is someone who has shown tremendous character and resilience, and we will continue to support Neil in any way we can.”
This month has been made all the more difficult for Neil Lennon by the sudden death of Paul McBride, also a target of the bombing campaign. Neil Lennon said, “Finally, I would like to mention my good friend Paul McBride. His sad passing remains very raw to those close to him, we continue to miss him dearly and my thoughts remain very much with Paul’s family.”
The SFA have written to Neil Lennon three times since the start of the trial earlier this month to capitalise on perceived transgressions by the Celtic manager while yesterday a former referee used his newspaper column to undermine Neil’s position at Celtic.
These people really do need to get a grip.
Within minutes of the verdict being announced yesterday news of Stilian Petrov’s serious illness was made public. Stilian will received the very best medical attention and all our prayers.

Bournes – thank you :D
Great goal celebration from 1 of the Bolton Bhoys Today.
He ran to the camera and his t-shirt underneath said BE STRONG STAN.
The results today will allow the post split fixtures to be announced. Come on the Celts!
I remember writing to NTV years ago about Nicholas. It was at the start of his MSM career when he was McNee’s poison pup. Some readers were hostile to my wee letter as, clearly, Charlie was still their darling.
I didn’t get it. Here we have someone who had essentially a two year career as a very promising footballer, became nondescript at Arsenal, continued on his mediocre way with Aberdeen then returned to us as a fully fledged dud.
And he’s a pundit?
The Wigan match report from Stuart Hall on Five Live was both brilliant and ridiculous! :-)
Raymond on Snyde tying Keevins in knots.
Fellow Bulgarian Martin Petrov who had the celebration message for Stan
Bhoys & Ghirls, here is a light hearted article from a Tim in Australia writing about trying to achieve the balance between dating and supporting Celtic. Good laugh. I think it’s the same writer that got stuck into the Huns on the same website last week.

Hi Ian,
If the Orangers hit liquidation on Good Friday (for example), how will the post-split fixtures work.
Top 5 / Bottom 6

Ghuys,

Mmmm, I always suspected Mr.90 had a spurious reason for defecting!
Any Celtic fan who criticises Neil Lennon’s pitch side behaviour in any way, or who attempts to say he should change anything about himself, is in my opinion, doing our enemies’ work for them.
Charlie Nicholas no longer deserves to be considered a Celt. Uncle Tim personified.

Very funny. He’s a Patriots fan as well! And for the same reasons as myself, Brady and Belichick. Also a Notre Dame fan. They’re playing in Ireland in September at the Aviva Stadium and bringing over 10,000 fans from America with them. I’m going over to see them with my family.

In a very immature teenage bhoy sort of way I fell out with Charlie the day he signed for Arsenal. I was returning from a school trip in the Highlands and heard it on the bus radio; close to tears. With every mealy-mouthed comment I’m glad I did.
He’ll be brickin’ it the next time Neil runs to join the pundits after another victory.
This guy has a point. Save the party for the Back Holiday weekend :)
Well said, Ally McCoist for wishing Stan Petrov ” a great Old Firm player ” the very best of health.
I know a lot of you guys hate the Joker but I’ve always got time for him.
Tin hat time.
Bank. Bank Holiday.
i know this might sound, daft/out-landish whatever….
but, I feel that, in the fullness of time…
it will be revealed that…Keevins, McNee, Delahunt, Martin/McGuire etc..
are, double-agents ie, they are posters on this and other Celtic fans websites where they can show their true colours. All the while…they are working/spying in the MSM! IMO!

Having an online ‘discussion’ with a hun about the amount of money that we have spent compared to the rats in the past 3-4 years. It was my understanding that they outspent us. Is this correct?

antrimkev,
There is a whole lot more to add to that list, particularly a lot of ex-Celts.
Scotspatsfan
I think the amount is in our favour by 3million but they have spent 30million plus when they couldn’t afford it, Celtic could.
Kevjungle,
No chance whatever. They are way beyond any redemption. They must find it awful difficult living with themselves and their families.
Feedthebear: ”Bus from osprey in newton mearns or giffnock bus are close enough”
Thanks for the feedback, anyone know what time the Newton Mearns bus leaves the Osprey and if there are 2 seats available?

pat nevin and davie provan have appeared on channel 5 and sky recently – so they have drunk the soup and bolted
Evening all,
Thoughts with Stan and his family.
Jackson, Weighorst, Sno and Big John – all ex Celts who have beaten crippling disease and illness. I pray Stilian will also.
An authentic little anecdote from my Saturday morning for anyone who may be interested, which has stirred some mixed emotions in me:
I awake, rough, tender. Last night was enjoyable, good company, chilled Peroni, good food. The inevitable debrief with the wife ensues: such and such was in good form, did you hear X say this or that to Y ? We run through the checklist on autopilot after 15 years together – we didn’t offend anyone, great. No cross words? Nope, well apart from my rant about the vilification of Neil Lennon. Oh I remember, I rambled but my points were sincere. Silly dancing? Yes but so was everyone and your auntie fell. No embarrassing moments though? – not really. Excellent.
Breakfast. The missus wants a bacon roll but I want to go for a run today and sweat out the poison. I tell her I’ll nip down to the shops and source some supplies and dive into the bank to pay the bill that has been vexing us so much.
I shower but don’t shave. I pull on jeans and a polo shirt which is tightening around my midriff in a way I am unfamiliar with. Glance in the mirror before I leave, I look like a ruddy face jake. Ah well…..
Bill paid, I contemplate a haircut, decide against it, buy a bottle of Evian and head for M&S. Basket in hand, bread, tomatoes, bacon, milk, now… which paper? Occassionally I’ll go for the Guardian on a Saturday but today I am thinking about the Herald, when, without warning, he walks past me. Yes, it is he, no doubt. I know this because I see him often. We are not neighbours but we live close.
I have to say something. I feel the heat, the morning after booze sweats mixed with anger. What will I say? I don’t follow him but I know where he is around the food court. At one stage I catch eyes with him and really scowl and growl in a manner I feel ashamed of when he withdraws his gaze. He’s just a man doing his shopping.
We line up with basic supplies in baskets at adjacent tills. I will say something as we leave. Definitely. I will say something. What should I say? Will I be measured and discuss yesterdays madness with him rationally or should I just be abusive? Jeez, have I just thought that? I can’t do that because them I am a rodent, hungover and publicly abusing a man whom I have never spoken to. Wow, I can’t believe I feel this strongly. As he gets served I am conscious I am burning a hole in the side of his head and the checkout girl looks at me as if I am eyeing her up. I’m not, I’m just raging with the skinny guy with the specs that she is serving.
We leave at the same time, he is three or four paces behind me. Now or never, tell him what you think. The heat comes on me again. Whats the correct adjective, despicable, disappointing, what is your agenda?
I don’t trust myself, I don’t turn round, he goes off into the shopping centre and I walk home. I should have said something, isn’t it my duty? Aaaah, I feel guilty. I console myself. He will have known I am not embarrassed by my stare.
But I should have tried to engage him.
Next time I see you Kenny Clark, next time.
TJ
Honest Tim,
No Celtic supporter has any time for that OF nonsense. Stan Petrov was a great CELTIC player.
Congratulations to Eck ‘Tojo’ Marr of Dundee who became a grandad last week.
And congratulations to Wee Eck who became a dad.
And congradulations to Ali Marr a granny now.
European Licence Countdown:
Six hours 14 minutes until the Huns are officially ineligible from playing in next season’s European competitions.
Snake, thanks for that. I should have checked before I engaged into a debate with him.

I think I would be right in saying, ‘Walter’ spent more in 2-3 years than, WGS spent in 4 years.
I see that Derek Riordan – just newly signed for StJ till the end of the season – could be on the bench against us tomorrow.
Funny how the SPL/SFA can get their asses into gear to fast-track things when it suits them.
However, when it comes to punishing teams for FIVE charges of bringing the game into disrepute … well we’ll just put that on the back burner shall we…?
The thing is, it’s only internet bampots that think that things ain’t quite right…
For anyone who was following the case of Muirhead and Mckenzie here is a report on how the charge of the attempted murder of Neil Lennon was dropped by the judge.
