Follow the money. £500k teaser

1406

I’ve been sent a brain teaser.  What legal reasons would someone have to discretely pay another individual £500k?  The people are not currently in business together, although the recipient previously worked for the sender.  No goods have been provided.

It’s a puzzle.

Looking for legal reasons only, no crazy illegal notions or wild speculation about real persons, this is purely a theoretical exercise.

Apparently I’m being sent a moral dilemma tomorrow: Will the recipient, with off-shore accounts but living in interesting times, declare the £500k?

If true I hope PL is taking notice .

I do not like hearing that the police have “come to an agreement ” with ragers administrators ,I would rather hear that ragers administrators have paid the police and will pay up front from now on .

Is it just me or are everyone and their granny seems to be falling over themselves to help ragers in their quest to avoid paying their dues .

  4. I noticed on SSB that we can now discuss, the wee tax case, we can now discuss the big tax case, we can now talk about fraud and people stealing money. Supposedly there may be criminals charges being brought here, is this not sub judice? Don’t see anyone saying we can’t discuss this as there may be a pending court case, remember Whyte/White when he was going to sue the BBC.

On another note I heard a caller tonight who said how embarassed he was that Rangers could not pay their bills to other SPL sides, I would have thought the embarassment woud have been when sheriffs officers took you to court for £1600 in December.

LOL!! no worries, I saved you the horror. Just looked it up, woods holds the british shut out record for them at 1,196 minutes. Foster is currently bang on 500, which is the next 7 and a bit games. Can this season get any better? Big Fraser beating that record, which has stood since 86/87 would make it perfect :)

What has to be proved is the trail whereby the first somebody benefits illegally, and the second somebody accepted the money in order to illegally allow the first somebody to benefit.

My assumption (stupid I know ) was that they had come to an agreement to pay all monies owed to the police.

My main concern is the possible difference in police costs between Celtic and the tax evaders , surely the police costs should be pretty close if not the same. In fact , after thinking about it ours should be cheaper , considering the fact that we can behave ourselves .

  21. There must be loads of small businesses who have been providing services, to help the day to day running of the club, who probanly secured the contracts by being good, old, loyal cream buns.

Wonder how much their loyalties are being tested if non payment threatens their companies & their livelihoods?

Not that Murray, Whyte, Johnston etc give a rat’s erchie about that.

I think it would be interesting if we knew who all their creditors were and how Whyte had planned to stuff them.

    Just my thoughts.

If you want a match commander who isn’t deaf then it costs you extra…

  23. POTY

Joe Ledley and Charlie Mulgrew definitely deserve to be mentioned as potential winners of it.

IMO, there are a few players that definitely should be in the running.

Fraser Forster – The big man has saved plenty points, crucial saves as well when they were needed to keep momentum and confidence building when it was most needed and his general play is getting better, he seems to be a very keen student and continues to get better. To me he looks like an intelligent goalkeeper rather than a mad goalkeeper, his distribution is getting better all the time as well.

Scott Brown – He missed a good part of the season but he has been massive for us and is getting better and better and has been dominating teams by his play off the ball, now he is playing with a swagger and the things he is trying are coming off, where as before people critcised him for these things that were not coming off. Superb leadership skills, which is very important, none more so than in the tunnel when Bartley was trying to distract him.

Victor Wanyama – This Man must be in the running, he came in and had a succession of MOTM awards when we really needed our players to play at their very best, this “young lad” secured the back four as much as anything else, he also helped build the confidence in the Whole team, yes he is not playing at his devastating best lately but it is still Imperative to have Victor in our team if we want a clean sheet against good teams.

James Forrest – Fantastic, the gallusness was there at the end of last season and I just knew this Bhoy was going to have a big season this year, he really has been exceptional, even on Wednesday when he came on the whole dynamic of the game changed because he terrorised Dunfermline, yes he crossed over a couple of brutal crosses but this Bhoy is going to be even better than Aiden, and he will certainly have better players around him to help him.

Georgios Samaras – The guy has it all, the humility is his best trait, and I hope it rubs off on all the young gems around him. The man is the Ultimate team player despite people thinking he holds on to the ball too long. The stage is being set, this is a Real Celtic Story transpiring before our eyes. GS may or may not win the POTY, he deserves to but so do all of the Bhoys above.

    Theres a bigger thing happening.

Celtic have constructed this team at minimum cost, they employed a management team at minimum cost.

    Scottish football take note.

I Love Celtic because they are just so Good at showing people the way.

I can’t wait until we play in the CL next season, I have very high hopes we will, and see this young, hungry and unknown quantity give bloody noses at home and abroad.

The MON teams played in a British style and it came unstuck abroad, this team is cultured, Ki’s masterclass Wednesday emphasised that, and really is being geared for a good first effort at the CL.

The age of the lads is Incredible.

POTY – Thats still up for debate but this is possibly the Greatest ever collective effort by the whole of Celtic.

Why do folk think it’s a bad thing when a hun starts spewing his hatred? It is a thing of beauty. Seeing them crack, swinging punches aimlessly, it’s priceless. It’s a sure sign that not only are they hurting, and hurting badly, but also that they have no game plan, no answer, just a frustrated ‘gonny no dae that!’ They haven’t even begun to formulate any sort of thoughts of damage limitation. It’s fantastic. I would be more bothered if he had some sort of proposal of where the fightback starts, but he doesn’t, none of them do. This is going to take a while, personally….I just can’t get enough.
