  1. Congratulations to Brendan for taking the same buch of ordinary players we had last year into the champions league.

Hopefully now he will be able to bring in a couple of quality players that will give us a chance of progressing. I’m not a Forrest fan and I find it incredible that he was offered a contract in any shape or form. For pundits to give him “man of the match” last Saturday is beyond belief. McGregor is also out of his depth at this level. I think Brendan already realises a change of goalkeeper is required and we need a right back.

The great thing is that there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in the sevco households tonight and that brings joy to my heart. Than you Brendan.

  2. Seems to me that Brendan held O’Connell guilty for either one or both Hapoel’s goals in the first leg.

  3. Dave King,

where do you keep your warchest?

I have a pokemon app would I be able to find it with that?

We discussed earlier a best group according to prestige and a best group that might see us qualify.

    Phew it’s tough!

  5. Tried to post this straight after the final whistle but server was timing out….

    ——————————–

    Thank fowk…

We were unbelievably poor tonight… I did not see that coming.

Plenty time for an inquest…. But we’re there and I’ve about 2 dozen extra pairs of underwear to wash!! :-)

Only the fact I was watching it with my kids stopped me from losing all my hair and fingernails too…

Only Celtc can do this to you…

Having a quick skim through the blog to see if the above was posted or not I obviously read a few comments.

VFR800 – I’m loving your posts and positive comments on CQN. Can’t agree with you tonight though about Gordon hanging Janko out… He said these things happen. I’m more annoyed at that a hole interviewer and his loaded questions. He did the same when interviewing Brendan. Who is he?

JJ – great thinking…. 2-0 away and 5-2 tonight we would all have completely different perspectives.

I am totally bemused at how Janko stayed on the park tonight but there must have been a reason and I loved the way Broonie picked him up after the game and put his arms round him…. Anyone else notice that?

Anyway… Off to bed a happy hoopy bhoy…. One step closer to Cardiff :-) :-) :-)

The referee tonight reminded me of the ref in the Juventus game a few years back. Gave Celtic nothing but admittedly the 2nd half performance was dire. That was, however, until i watched the Villarreal Monaco highlights. Shocking ref. Villarreal denied a stonewaller. Gave Monaco a penalty for the ball hitting the back of the neck of a Villareal defender. Football needs video.

  7. BMCUWP might appreciate this.

Jimmynotpaul, Dortmund would be great in the draw.

However, I believe your first trip there in1987 was quite eventful the morming after the game.

Im delighted we got through , a huge boost for us , prestige and income wise.

Im like tinytim , I have high blood pressure and couldn’t watch the game tonight or else it woud have went through the roof.

QF, your post earlier about the media was spot on. Their agenda with regard to us will never change in the forseeable future. Ash Taylor , the Aberdeen centre half, cost them plenty last season , but very little attention paid to his errors.

  10. “First Celtic manager to get into Group Stages at first attempt.”

    Saor,

And Ronny was first to get us European footy post Christmas at first attempt in years.

Champions league footie back in paradise ya beauty….

    Oh quick question for all…

What results do we need for us to be in pot 3 and why did it say man city or Basel pot 2… Citeh are through so does that mean Basel in pot 3? And who are they even playing as I can’t see their fixtures anywhere??

    Hail Hail

I’m sorry, the Referee wasn’t that bad, well unless you are talking about the Trezeguet game.

The last CL Juve game @ Celtic Park Sickened me Big Time. That was Escalated Cheating.

    The Layers are there.

  13. Still coming down here…..Brendan has taken the pressure off himself in a few weeks, he can ask for a few more now….he can sell Celtic as a CL Club now, it’s why the brilliant Sinclair came here…..Toure too, i don’t think we would have went thru tonight without him

  14. Madmitch –

Thank you. I take great pride in forcing you to finally post a comment without any of your arrogant, I’m so clever, abbreviations.

    GIRUY.

  15. Interesting that the Dev team CB pairing tonight was DB and EA.

Not sure if that was game time they were getting or a very unsubtle hint to pack their bags.

To lose 3 goals against Killie is not looking good.

High hopes but the squad needs to be cut to get some focus and direction into our player / talent management efforts.

Friend was in Perth and said O’Connell was ‘uncomfortable’ – didn’t really notice it so much on TV.

To slip beyond the bench was unusual, but as others pointed out Erik was there, and preferred

    for now,

We need to spend in order to get £500,000 per point in whatever group.

Looking forward to CL draw on Friday.

Would love Real Madrid in Paradise again and do them 2-0 again.

    God rest John Doyle.

I’m more annoyed at that a hole interviewer and his loaded questions. He did the same when interviewing Brendan. Who is he?

Another hurting hun of no consequence; my wife was laughing at the abuse I was giving him, as was my PP who arrived to borrow some stuff just before the game kicked off and watched the first 30 minutes with me. At least I don’t need to explain that at confession this week!

I am totally bemused at how Janko stayed on the park tonight but there must have been a reason

I don’t think he was as bad as he was made out to be. I thought Lustig had to shoulder a lot of the blame.

and I loved the way Broonie picked him up after the game and put his arms round him…. Anyone else notice that?

Yeah, I saw that. He was on the ground just before that with his shirt pulled over his head. Broonie picked him up like a true Captain should! The bhoy had a tough night but never hid (unlike some).

Felt it was a perfect result in a way to keep complacency at bay, and to persuade the powers that be that we still need quality reinforcements.

3-5-2 every day of the week for me unless we’re playing against 3 up front.

    Well done Brendan.

Not a nail left on my fingers – stressed out to the max watching it. But happy out.

Thought we played our best football of the night in the last 10mins. Which somewhat eased the blood pressure.
