He was really poor on Saturday but so was Janko who kept his place for tonight, possibly because Brendan thought O’Connell was worse and it was better to push Lustig in to the middle. Whatever, it wasn’t great but by golly it worked.
The analysis can begin tomorrow, and in my opinion after tonight’s performance it’s needed, but for now we’ll have the same feelings of utter delight.

We were shite tonight, no getting away from that. We’re through though and that’s a massive pressure off and a cash windfall on.
We’ve been here loads of times, its nothing new. Karagandy, when JF scored at the death was just like tonight with the exception that it was a home game. No escape from the torture that night in paradise.
The shaktar night when Donati scored at the death, aye that was another night of torture.
I’m just relieved we got through the battering the Israeli team doled out tonight.

Brendan has given us and the players belief. They rode that belief tonight.
Learnings?
1) I think our system away from home in European competition needs to be tweaked to support the fullbacks better. Accepting questions about Janko being up to the task, Tierney struggled tonight too…..he got little or no support. How many times were they both 2 on 1?
We seemed to concede totally the wide area 25-50 yards from our goal line.
2) STILL need a stronger physical presence in midfield
3) Tuore is class. And Sviatchenko is his partner.
4) a crap £ exchange rate does wonders for your bank balance when prizes are paid out in €

Intrigued at the CB pairing for tonight’s Dev game.
Not sure who is coming in.
However a lot would seem to be leaving.
Consequently big changes are coming.
DB seems to have a lot of supporters out there.
Just a case that for us he has had more poor games than good games.
EA I think has had his chance from BR.
Got the game time and not delivered in the positive sense.
If they both go I hope they do well at their new clubs.
