    Tough tonight, BUT…..

     

     

    We are on an upward path. Brendan’s team which qualifies for the CL next season will be markedly different from Ronny’s leftovers we were watching tonight

    Away and get a grip. Guys have sweated for 2 hours watching that garbage tonight. They are entitled to call it as they see it.

     

     

    I will call it as I see it and have always seen it.

     

     

    That was a night to play the big characters that we have. Not the fearties.

     

     

    More times than not – and especially when it REALLY MATTERS – James Forrest and Callum McGregor are posted missing. Tonight they were both a waste of a jersey.

     

     

    The fact that one was hooked at HT and the other hooked after 65′ in my opinion suggests that the manager belatedly realised his mistake.

     

     

    Does that make me a Hun?

    Sitting back now and reflecting on the game.

     

    How many times have we went out due to one goal?

     

     

    Considering we didn’t play well and to be honest they were a good team, I was over the moon when the final whistle went.

     

     

    Win ugly as they say. It’s a well done for me, just think how the hun monkeys will sleep tonight!

     

     

    I know I’ll sleep well.

    Thank heavens we made it.

     

    If we had gone out then heaven knows what would have happened.

     

     

    Consequently lots to do.

     

    But there were positives.

     

     

    ScS in the first half was immense — real class player.

     

    Needs a bit of coaching and confidence to really take off.

     

     

    JF and LG need more exposure — no pun intended Wee man — to better quality opposition.

     

    Hopefully BR can guide them to their next level of performance.

     

     

    Young KT stuck at it the whole night in difficult circumstances.

     

    Old KT was incredible — first 95 minutes was played in his head.

     

    He looks really slow but always gets there.

     

     

    MD had a few good moments when he came — he has class just needs some polish.

     

     

    The foundations have been laid.

     

    Now up to DD and the board to deliver on the quality we need.

     

    The club must be generating cash like nobody’s business.

     

     

    Finally Deadwood Four needs to happen in full.

     

    Even if some fans favourites are shown the door it needs to be done.

    One of the posts of this or any other night. Don’t read them,listen to them or watch them. Plenty of outlets to get Celtic stories. Why would we support those whose sole aim is to destroy us????

    So I had to go out at halftime. But ended up switching car radio off, couldn’t listen. Got home with 10 to go didn’t switch TV on, couldn’t watch. Went out a wee walk left phone behind couldn’t timternet.

     

     

    Got back on and Brendan was on. He seems to know what he is doing, the interview highlighting tactical and formation changes that close the game out, and maybe some fortune, he seems lucky. And that’s great.

     

     

    So so happy. 3big nights at paradise and probably 3away ties that will see me unable to watch and out walking in the dark.

     

     

    But again, very happy. Interesting to see how haopel get on in Europa.

     

     

    Pps. Desperate to draw Dortmund and an englishbtea.

    Chuffed to bits to be there. Couldn’t be more happy. My only worry is if we play like that again we will get rag dolled.

     

     

    The Sunday games just suck the life out of my season.

    Well, just read back all posts from the time my ticker/nerve couldn’t take it. Part superstition on my part, part self- medication/preservation. (Not on the medical scale, just keeping my mental health healthy). Well Done to all the team – all for one etc. Recriminations left for BR & CD to mull over. Glad to see Tiny Tim made it through. But weeBGFC wins the prize for putting it most eloquently at 9:52 p.m. Gaun yerself, wee mhan!!!

    Never been so happy with a 2-0 defeat in my life, let’s hear it for Brendan Rodgers ( and the skin of his teeth )

     

     

    Think he got it right , just, in a tie where Celtic would have been obliterated

     

     

    over two legs under yo know who, so let’s put that one to bed.

     

     

    If Celtic hadn’t played in an ultra defensive line up, Hapoel would have run amok, instead of two goals where but for bad luck we would have had no luck at all.

     

     

    Couldn’t make out for a while whether we were pinned or stayed in, but in the end we were playing more subtley and it took us through IMHO

     

     

    Rodgers gambled with his formation and he’s one player short of where he should be, and when he wakes up tomorrow he still needs a new midfielder., to compete for points in a CL group.

     

     

    Sinclair was the epitome of money spent , Toure and Lustig inside saved it in the end, so his decision to play Janko ( who had a mare ) was justified.

     

     

    Scott Brown had a rough night , but knows how to defend his side especially in interviews where he got his retaliation for Craig Gordon in first.

    I think you are getting confused about the substitutes based on your dislike of some of 1st team squad , Jamesie was removed in order to rejig the midfield to hopefully protect Sadie and if memory serves Calum sacrificed fie Erik to shore up the back line

     

     

    Collectively the chaps need support not this constant childlike drivel against individuals ,

    That was very hard to watch, I thought we were going out for sure . I thought Brendon should have replaced Janko at half time.At the end of the day were through and it`s onward and upward from here on.Well done the bhoys.

    They are not a good team.

     

    Stuffy, well coached and organised but little talent and quality.

     

     

    We gave them a stage to show off on.

     

    Everybody looks good if the opposition is scared fartless and give them 5 yards of space.

     

     

    We have too many Wee boys playing a man’s game.

     

    They just do not know how to handle the new, the different, the unexpected.

     

     

    Take them out of their comfort zone and they collapse.

     

    BR got his selection very wrong tonight and we had no on field drive or leadership.

     

    At one stage late on in the 2nd half MD was telling SB what to do.

     

     

    However we are through.

     

    Interesting to see how HBS get on in the EUL?

    Spent the last 20 minutes recovering my account just to say, that was brilliant! The game was the hardest game I’ve had to watch in years, but the end result was joyous.

     

    Last week we were expecting the game to end 3 – 3, but we kept going. Tonight we were expecting the game to end 3 – 0, but the Bhoys held their nerve and did what they had to do to get the best result we’ve had in a long time!!!! :) Well done to everyone in the team tonight. EVERYONE! BR has brought the magic. We will only get stronger from here.

     

    I’m knacked and expect to sleep well tonight. I expect the players will have to be carried onto the plane home :)

    I saw enough from that team last week to know we would get a game . I also saw enough to note that our right back position was a problem . They spotted it last week too , and so it turned out . But we are back at the top table , but improvements are needed . In Brendan we trust .
