KYOGO FURUHASHI reckons it’s smiles better when he is scoring goals and Celtic are winning.

The Japanese international striker fired in 20 strikes last season, despite sitting out almost four months of the campaign with knee and hamstring injuries.

However, Kyogo, an inspired £4.6million recruit from J-League outfit Vissel Kobe by Ange Postecoglou in July last year, is making up for lost time and has hit the ground running in this crusade.

PYRAMID OF PLEASURE…Kyogo Furuhashi celebrates on his way to a hat-trick against Dundee United.

The 27-year-old hitman netted six goals in four outings to win the Premiership Player of the Month for August with his blistering first-half hat-trick in the breathtaking 9-0 triumph over Dundee United at Tannadice the pick of the bunch.

Kyogo was also on target against Ross County (3-1), Kilmarnock (5-0) and Hearts (2-0) and he is aiming to claim his first September goal in the Champions League Group F encounter against Ukraine’s Shaktar Donetsk in Warsaw tomorrow night.

The fans’ favourite, speaking to Celtic TV, said: “I’m happy to get Player of the Month, my team-mates always give me good passes and I just score the goals and I’m happy.

“It always makes me happy and every goal is for the supporters.

“We keep working hard every game and training session and I hope we score more goals and I keep doing my best.
