  1. It would be good for Celtic Park to be absolutely packed out on Wednesday, by the way. A fitting way to say thanks to the players and management.

  2. Well the run is over

looking forward to the new one starting against Thistle.

Back 3 that finished and keeper should be moved on or kept for cover.

  3. Brendan talking to the the players in a huddle , wonder what he’s saying to them . 6 points clear and game in hand, should be quite a game against sheep now .

  4. Huddle led by the manager in the middle of Tynecastle, I’m sure he knows where we need personnel changes .

Diego = Male Spaniard = play acting divers.

Nothing racial intended and apology’s to anyone who was upset.

    Not intended.

  6. Philbhoy stop being childish.

    Aye, you’re spelling!

  8. What a run bhoys…magic. I think we learned what most thought about our defence this afternoon. We move on.

    So proud of them.

Positives today was watching the wee Heartz physio runnin’ on the park :-)

  9. Jobo if you get a good quote from your plasterer ask him if he fancies sorting out a few cracks in our squad, Really bad day at the office Brendan got to get them lifted for our net two games. H H Hebcelt

  10. Ouch!

Properly beaten. Everything that could go wrong, did.

    Isn’t football amazing?

  11. After Sevco, Hearts were the team I didn’t want to lose the record too. Horrible club, horrible fans, and a dinosaur of a manager. And whilst they have a new stand (wowee…) I see they haven’t spent a nickel on their potato patch of a pitch.

However, the important thing is how we react.

For the last few weeks we have been very slack, it was only a matter of time before we were punished. I do wonder if the heavy CL defeats have knocked confidence a bit, Boyatta in particular looks very shaky. Brendan now has to re-instill confidence in individual players, perhaps move one or two on.

We have by far the best squad, by far the best manager, and more money than the whole league combined. Let the wee club enjoy their moment, the highlight of their decade, and lets concentrate on how we strengthen.

  12. A lack of pragmatism and a little complacency brings an end to a fantastic run.

If we learn from it then Scottish football will face a sobering lesson.

Today we seemed unnerved by a physical direct approach.

  13. Feeling a big bit disappointed at that hammering. But also proud that we have set the record at 69. Thank you, Brendan and all the bhoys who have contributed to an amazing achievement.

As someone said, I hope as many as possible turn up on Wednesday to thank the team for giving us something I wouldn’t have dreamed possible.

  14. A magnificent achievement to go 69 games unbeaten and I doubt we will ever see the likes again, not in my lifetime anyway.

Today is gone, it’s how the team reacts to this defeat that will be the most important thing, we need to go on a run of victories now to put this league to bed.

Celtic Celtic I never tire of watching you, win lose or draw..

  15. No Post Mortem from me. Bad performance, bad result. Well done to Hearts who were more up for it than we were, and deserved the win.

Next game is the chance to put this behind us.

    Barcamolesbro, welcome to the blog.

  16. Hi Bhoys

I’m gutted but i’m no complaining after the run we’ve had but why did so many of our players continually lose their footing. I can understand it in the first half but surely they could have changed their boots at halftime. I’m just puting it down as one of those days.

    KEEP THE FAITH

  17. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Congratulations to Brendan and the Bhoys 69 game run was fantastic Congratulations also to Hearts they were miles better than us today.Brendan looked at the team pre season and did not fully commit to another Centre back coming in and it has been a big big error on his part we lost so many goals in europe due to poor defending and today terrible defending in the league ended our record. Craig Gordon in my opinion is a poor keeper and does not inspire confidence and our two centre backs Boyata and Jozo are poor and one of them can only manage to play every second game. Our midfield today were posted missing Brendan needs to bring in several quality signings in the transfer window to improve the team or the league could go right down to the wire. H.H.

  18. A blame Baracmolesbro…..;-))…..hows that for dramaqeenery……

    Yer not are u?

    H.H.

  19. BR has rinsed everything out of the players he inherited. The three main signings he made have all been a success, the squad fillers less so. Now that the unbeaten record has gone, and that’s probably one of the reasons we haven’t signed more first team ready players, it’s time to allow him to build his own team. Starting at the back, where the main problem lies, with a new keeper and two centre halves. January should be interesting.

  20. I really cannot believe what happened today. Well done to the Minis they deserved it. Apart from James Forrest and S Armstrong we were terrible. We could have played another 90 minutes and not scored and conceded another 4 goals. Say no more except the good thing ( if you can call it that) is that is the invisible monkey off our back.

  21. Well spanked, been in the post for a few weeks, Brendan knows its time for Team 2, we need 2 CBs ASAP, Bitton would have done better, de Vries due a game too

  22. Central defensive weakness caused us big time today. A very bad day at the office but the run had to end at some point.

69 has a ring to it.

Onwards and upwards we won’t have many days when we perform so badly.

You could just hear the delight in Crockofshits commentary.

  23. Well, there’s some odd stats. We had more attempts than Hearts. They had 5 on target for their four goals. We had four on target for our nil.

  24. All good things come to an end, and it’s been coming for a while.

It’s been great but in honesty it was becoming a bit of a millstone. Clear that some players are very tired and need a break, CBs need sorting, and we need to find a way to score when 10 men are behind the ball.
