  1. The problems have been left so long now we need a complete clear out.

The lack of progress a year ago was understandable but the laziness and the caution during the summer is killing us now.

However no matter the players on the park there is the attitude and the appetite to fall back on.

However today we had nothing because standards have been allowed to slip. The cowardice and the lack of desire that has been allowed to fester in the CL games has now impacted our SPL performances.

BR needs to get a grip.

RD had his issues but he was never this bad.

We really have some work to do.

If we sit back and engage in window dressing and fan friendly platitudes then we deserve all we get. The opportunities are there but the work needs to be done.

If change doesn’t happen soon the Young MO’N might be worth a shout. BR needs to get things moving — if CEO stupidity, laziness, bonus culture is the issue then call it out and get things changed.

We have been marched to the top of the hill.

If the desire isn’t there to go higher then we will wasted a generational chance to take the club forward and I don’t think we will easily get another.

  2. Our fantastic, unlikely to be matched, run of 69 domestic games without defeat has ended. Thanks bhoys, thanks Brendan for this wonderful achievement.

Now, imo, we must strengthen. Too many of the team were bereft of spirit and character today. Can’t remember the last time I saw 2 Celtic CB’s ragdolled by a such a mediocre footballer as laugherty. This wasn’t a one off either our CB pairing has been shambolic for some time. Midfield is a worry also. Apart from Scott Brown we lack any real quality. And by that I mean someone who shows up and performs every game.

We are blessed with some top class attacking options so perhaps little needs to be done there.

Does anyone believe BR will be given a significant amount of money to strengthen the team before our Europa league matches?

  3. It had to happen some time for me the manner and against THAT mob is the problem. Our most important game domestically for a long long time is Wednesday.

    C’mom the Hoops!!!

  4. 50 shades of green on

Great run comes to an end o well.

Rather it went with us playing the crap we played today the some stupid mib having a hand in it.

Nobody turned up today on the park, fans brilliant off it.

    New run starts mid week.

Probably never see a run like that again in my lifetime so a big thank you to the club and Brendan for that.

    H.H

    @@@@@@.

Ment to say I will be there midweek to see the new run start, I will be the one dressed like Moussa last midweek. :-)

  5. glendalystonsils on

James Forrest did reasonably well today. I’m not going to comment on the rest other than we gifted Hearts 3 of the 4 goals courtesy of McGregor, Boyata and Simunovic. And of course Gordon, bringing down the Hearts player who had taken a heavy touch and was heading away from goals.

Don’t mind losing (invincibility doesn’t last forever) but I do mind losing these kind of goals to a vile team with a vile support.

  6. That’s the end of the slump then…….

    …………………

    Thank Goodness……..

    HH to all Tims here.

  7. For the record CQN is a shadow of its former self.

All about Christmas books, adverts and general nonsense.

Full of happy clappers, board groupies and yes men.

It has been a slow decline for a great idea.

  8. If they can play 16 year olds why can’t we , not all at the same time obviously, but where are Ralston, Hendry , Johnson, Henderson Millar et al they are used to playing against these Hearts weans…..

Today Hearts played the way the Huns played against Aberdeen so we can expect the same on the the 30th…. We need to be prepared !

  9. Well done on the unbeaten run, nothing lasts forever. Well done to the Hearts`kids, that 16 year old boy won’t forget today.

I am over from Spain next weekend and have tickets for the Aberdeen game. Taking my 5-year-old son to his first game and also my Dad, so three generations together to see the Bhoys.

Here’s hoping the team are back on form, Hail, Hail from Denia.

  10. Madmitch – miles over the top comment. “Complete clear out?” Really?

We need a new keeper, at least one, possibly 2 CBs, and a creative midfielder.

  11. I do mind losing, but it has been coming, self inflicted from hesitant CH’s Boyata is playing agian like he was under Deila waiting on the ball and thinking he is to good to challenge. Simo just doesn’t look fit he is slow and clumsy.

  12. Philbhoy you are like wee kid who sticks his fingers in his ears and refuses to listen.

    A wee wailing baby.

  13. 67Heaven .. CHALLENGING THE LIE ..I am wee Oscar...... Ipox belongs to the creditors on

Pleased to see so many positive comments on here …and, yes, I’ll also be there on Wednesday to congratulate the BHOYS on a wonderful achievement HH

Diego = Male Spaniard = play acting divers.

Nothing racial intended and apology’s to anyone who was upset.

    Not intended.

    ——)———-)——-)——–))))))

ffs…..we’ve just witnessed the most incredible run in our history…..come to an end…..as all things do…..am I upset….yes, in the manner of our meek capitulation…..however I’ve got 69 reasons to be happy…..and you apologise to a d*ck….shame on you ;-))

    H.H.

  15. Gutted !!! However Thank-you Brendan and Celtic for the last 18 Months. Onward and Upwards Now. Victory on Wednesday and Sat will go a long way to healing today’s disappointment. Refresh the team with some quality center-backs and Goalkeeper. Get rid of the players who want to leave and replace with ones who want to come here

  16. I have been saying for weeks,Kouassi should be in the team, even if only for certain games.Like todays. Not enough fight, energy from the midfield today.Good footballers, but some days you need more.I hate talking players down, but BR really has to look at Gordon. His kicking is woeful, his decision making is dodgy, far too many times, and to get beat by a 25 yard trundling shot, which he could see all the way,is just bad goalkeeping.4 mistakes,4 goals.the 2 CHs,and keeper for pulling the man down, who was going nowhere.

The front men made a hash of every chance.Just a horrendous day.

In a way its good to get the run out of the way.It was getting to the players. Now lets see what lessons the team and Brendan have learned.

    Hearts were terrific today.

  17. Oh and as madamitch says guys like you philbhoy are ruining CQN. Your petulant abuse of anyone who doesn’t hold your view is exactly the small narrow minded, arrogant, hunlike behaviour that drives good debate and argument away.

Your a naziesque bully who is too afraid to think openly.

Well done to,Celtic on the record.mit has been amazing.

Now we need to look to improve.

  18. The run was excellent.

Being objective about our shortcomings this season doesn’t detract from my appreciation.

This has been coming. Described it to Mrs JG as feeling like hide and seek when you’re just about to be discovered.

    We were found. Found out.

Tippy tappy Astro fitba on a 80s pitch and 80s tactics.

Everyone now knows that a high, tight press is the way to unsettle us.

Fight in midfield is notable by its absence.

    HH jamesgang

  19. Thanks for the run Bhoys.

It’s been an incredible time and I’ve loved every minute of it.

Dust yourselves down, lick your wounds and take stock from this day.

It had to happen sometime, simple as that.

I’m immensely proud of what you have given us and look forward to your reaction to today.

  20. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

  21. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

    Brendan was great there.

Great to see the support stay to recognise the achievement of the Celtic club.

Levein’s interview was informative. Attempted to replicate the Anderlect match. Magnanimous in victory.

  22. Brendan magnanimous in defeat. Quality as ever. Well done Celtic on the 69, some great performances along the way.

  23. Missed most of the game on Good Samaritan duties, maybe it was God’s way of thanking me.

The usual few nutters having a go is what I expected.

There is analysis to be done I know that and if we have problems they need to be faced up to.

However I for one am not getting into that today, I want to say well done to Brendan & the Team for all they have achieved and hopefully we start winning again starting Wed.
