Craig Whyte’s representatives have seen more court time than Andy Murray in recent months and were able to make the most of home territory at the Court of Session in Edinburgh today by gaining permission to appoint their own administrators, Duff and Phelps.
Scottish Premier League tables across the world will now be updated to reflect the new position which gives Celtic, who scrupulously pay all debts, a 14 point lead at the top of the table.
The hours and days ahead will be worrying times for the many employees of Rangers, not all of whom are on superstar wages, who await to hear if they still have jobs. Worrying times also for suppliers to Rangers, including Glasgow City Council, Strathclyde Police and the many small traders, who will be asked to provide services if Saturday’s game at Ibrox goes ahead.
One final push (this week) for the Vanessa Riddle Appeal. We have a Celtic top signed by the first team squad available to auction on eBay. You can bid on the auction and help send Vanessa for the treatment she needs by clicking here. Thanks to Penfold for the donation and to Taggsybhoy for organising (yet again).

CFC SPL Champions – let’s ensure the gap is 24 points at the end of the season. No taking our collective foot off the pedal we need to remain focused and relentless. Lets us heap more humiliation upon the Orc hordes. LET THEM BURN, LET THEM BURN

So, HMRC apply to get THEM put into administration, but THEM offer to go into administration today if they can choose the admin firm. We are led to believe from tweets by Cara Sulieman that HMRC AGREED TO THIS during a break at the Court of Sessions.
If true then HMRC got what it wanted today. Why would they agree if it meant they would be shafted? There’s more to this than we currently know.
Pinched it off Shortbreads F/B page.

IMO there will either be next season :
no Rangers in any form
a new Rangers in Div3
a new Rangers in the SPL but one so financially weak they’ll be facing relegation
All good !!
You’re twistin’ my melon man,
You know you talk so hip man,
You’re twistin’ my melon man (call the cops).
Hey rainmaker, come away from that man,
You know he’s gonna take away your promised land,
Hey good lady, he just wants what you got you know,
He’ll never stop until he’s taken the lot.
He-he-hey, he-he-hey-hey.
I do have a very nice and expensive bottle of Kristal in the fridge, I have been saving it for a very special occasion, Celtic winning the Champions League, the Toronto Maple Leafs winning the Stanley Cup (came close in 2001), Thatcher popping her clogs, well you get the idea….
It is getting popped open tonight when the wife and I sit down to our special Valentines day dinner. Huns in administration is well worth drinking too.
Oh and too any laptop loyal lurking, My season ticket does not include the Rangers games – by choice, I will certainly be paying my renewal the day it pops through the post huns or no hun
Bhoys it would be hard to under estimate the problems the poundland mob are in they will struggle to fulfill there remaining league fixtures. If you think of it where will there income come from they have already sold there season ticket revenue ( where is the 24 million ? ) the only income must come now from orcs paying at the gate and how many of them will there be.They require to pay wages, police, coach companies, the electricity companies and it goes on and on the administrator will have tough job to keep them limping on but of course that appears to have been the Whyte plan all a long will Hearts get the remaining transfer money for Wallace? no chance will Dundee Utd. get there £100,000 gate money ? no chance the administrators first job will be to cut outgoings so redundancie will happen soon.H.H.

Do you believe that there is a realistic chance of Rangers folding (ceasing to exist) before the end of the season?
LOL will they be presenting us with the trophy at our next home game

What is Ian Andrews doing these days?
So, we get 10pts on them meaning 3 wins and a draw.

I replied earlier to a post from SWANSEABHOY about Brian Donohoe.
He should be careful about the possibility of alienating his few friends with leverage in the Constituency Labour Party.
Duffield got his job back at Shortbread yet?
This is just a wonderful day to be a Celt
If the polis cancel Killie game,do they lose the points?
Problem – do I go with my ‘Rangers are bust’ cigar or my ‘Celtic win the league’ cigar?

It’s absolutely amazing that as recently as last night that some rangers fans were still speaking in terms of 10 days to stop the administration process, they really are living in denial. I suppose that’s what happens when you believe everything that old red tops say.
The rangers support have shown an almost reckless and cavalier approach to this. It was as if they didn’t believe the debt had to be paid.
Last night they talked about Craig Whyte “stuffing pillow cases” with Ticketus and Jelavic cash that would be magically pulled out of thin air after admin is sorted out and rangers are reborn. Delusional in the extreme
Well they had their chance to save their club when the mint tried a share issue, which was an utter flop, when the rangers fans turned their backs on the club.
Whats that you say? “Aye Ready, Aye Right !)

What a waste.
Do you need to share it with your wife?
Now that the points have been deducted I think we should start keeping a tally of points won by them uns and us uns between now and the end of the season (if they are still here!)
We’ve won the league to this point. We need to at least maintain the margin between now and the end of the season. Give them no excuses.
As it happens I think we will win the league by at least 25 points.
Motherwell v Benfica in CL qualifiers at the end of July?

To think the Celts were castigated in the media for asking for ticket money up front, think we are due an apology
Are there further penalties for them owing money to other SPL clubs?
