Hector scores to give Celtic commanding 14 point lead

428

Craig Whyte’s representatives have seen more court time than Andy Murray in recent months and were able to make the most of home territory at the Court of Session in Edinburgh today by gaining permission to appoint their own administrators, Duff and Phelps.

Scottish Premier League tables across the world will now be updated to reflect the new position which gives Celtic, who scrupulously pay all debts, a 14 point lead at the top of the table.

The hours and days ahead will be worrying times for the many employees of Rangers, not all of whom are on superstar wages, who await to hear if they still have jobs.  Worrying times also for suppliers to Rangers, including Glasgow City Council, Strathclyde Police and the many small traders, who will be asked to provide services if Saturday’s game at Ibrox goes ahead.

One final push (this week) for the Vanessa Riddle Appeal. We have a Celtic top signed by the first team squad available to auction on eBay. You can bid on the auction and help send Vanessa for the treatment she needs by clicking here. Thanks to Penfold for the donation and to Taggsybhoy for organising (yet again).

  1. On the question of a NewCo, why not?

    Organised – Administration – Pre-pack

Dis-organised – Liquidation – Auction room action to pick up the name / strip / badge and the stadium / Blue Room carpet / 60m2 of marble staircase.

Finally how much income will the Administrator draw in?

    £10mill?

    £20mill?

    £30mill?

You’re better at this speed-reading than I am,I saw your reply to a similar question a few minutes ago.

I think you’re right btw,and I’ve been hammering this for about 7-8 years, and the total bill scenario of about £120m for a while too.

So annoying that a numpty like myself 400 miles away from Glasgow can put two and two together better than all those journos back home with all their contacts and influence.

I’ve already told my hun mates that a complicit media is to blame, just as much as Murray or Whyte.

    OF COURSE,WHEN I SAY BLAME,I REALLY MEAN THANK….

    Football debts don’t take precedence.

They do in England, not in Scotland.

  4. Wifes hun cousin still thinks Government will step in and help them and that the title we will win will be tainted.

  9. BobbyM – you are right. We often slated the press for their hush up job. we should thank them for preventing any meaningful resistance to this from the Orcish hoardes.

Of course Phil Mac has claimed that the publicity over the tax case made the club impossible to sell. Not so sure myself. I think the FACT of the tax case made it impossible to sell. Who wants to buy a £50 Million liability on top of a club that laready had £30 million of debts?

  16. Happy Administration Day Bhoys and Ghirls!

Fantastic day yesterday and today. They are absolutely beeling. Have no sympathy whatsoever. Down with Scotlands “Second Largest Institution”…a truly horrible mob who won’t be missed.

Not sure if this has been posted, and do not want to get too carried away, but when can we win the league?

I assume that if we both win all our games (highly unlikely- there will be points dropped by THEM) then we can win the league with 4 games to spare?

It could well be won before the split then no? We have the orcs on the 25th March, two games before the split am I correct?

Wishful thinking, but I am also in the camp that we MUST not let this get to our heads, and remain focused and wrap up what will be a wonderful title.

    Hail Hail,

He who holds the – pre 2004? – floating charge can call the shots come Administration time.

CW is just making the most of the situation that presented intself regarding TFOD and their bank debt.

The only winners will be the lawyers.

HMRC will come over all medieval if it thinks it is a sweetheart deal.

Consequently this looks like it could run and run.

Interesting to see who breaks cover regarding putting in an offer.

  18. Anyone else think that Whyte may have been desperate for his own choice of administrators because they charge such a high fee for doing the work? ………#backhanders

  26. Excuse me if this has been mentioned but the fact that David Grier has a close relationship with Whyte can this not be seen as a conflict of interest ? Can the clever ones on here tell me, would it have been much better if HMRC had appointed thier administrator ? If this is a daft question please ignore
