While I have to confess that I have been one of those who have brought politics on to the blog, I do feel our situation is so vexed that at the moment we need to realise what Boris and his cohorts (both those on the far right and far left, like McCluskey) have brought upon us. We are in dire straits.
If you don’t agree with anyone, rather than insult, either argue cogently, or simply ignore. Sadly, there are a wheen of posters I avoid like the plague these days, because they pay scant regard for the few conditions Paul67 asked us to observe when he began CQN.

The result at Ibrox was massive considering what happened there last season. In my opinion it’s allowed NL to set down a marker.

RESULTS FROM GAME #7 – HIBS 1 CELTIC 1 (CHRISTIE)
Many thanks to the 41 who voted on this game; we are certainly getting a good cross section of votes. Most folk seem to agree that the result was less pleasing than the performance and that we really did do enough to win the game. A couple of interesting votes including all 3 officials and 1 who went for the Green Brigade!
Another interesting point is that in real time on social media quite a few folk questions Lenny’s decision to take off Ntcham, suggesting at that point he was our best player. As you’ll see from the votes below that doesn’t appear to be the case.
As for the 14 who actually took part as players the votes were spread across 12 of them with only Edouard and Sinclair failing to register a single vote.
The votes cast (my own choices are asterisked) were as follows –
Forster: 1
Bauer: 24*
Jullien: 12
Ajer: 1
Bolingoli-Mbombo: 13*
Brown: 29
McGregor: 17*
Forrest: 2
Ntcham: 1
Christie: 15
Edouard: 0
Hayes: 5
Bayo: 1
Sinclair: 0
Unused subs – Gordon, Rogic, Elhamed, Elyounoussi
So the players receiving points for the Hibs game are –
Brown – 5 points
Bauer – 4 points
McGregor – 3 points
Christie – 2 points
Bolingoli-Mbombo – 1 point
This means that the aggregate total points are as follows –
Forrest – 15 points
Edouard – 13 points
Christie – 12 points
Jullien – 11 points
Brown – 10 points
Bolingoli-Mbombo – 9 points
Elhamed – 8 points
Bauer – 6 points
McGregor – 5 points
Ntcham – 5 points
Frimpong – 4 points
Bayo – 3 points
Bitton – 3 points
Hayes – 2 points
Ajer – 1 point
Forster – 1 point
Rogic – 1 point
A wee break now until our next game on Thursday against Cluj. I don’t normally do predictions but have a sneaky feeling that our ever improving first choice left back might have a point to prove!
Voting will be open from the final whistle until 10pm on Friday.

Spot on … the blog is a social media outlet where mostly Celtic fans.. post about football and then … politics has its place like all the other mundane subjects (like family, pets & whatever other rubbish)
If within P67s rules then anything should go … even though I dislike all politicians I sort of enjoy others views and for my sins I watch Andrew Marr & record Question Time … that actually reads sadder than it sounds out loud :-)
AN effort that Meat Loaf would have been proud of ;-)

I see Benkovic still not getting in Leicester squad –
Also
Dissapointing to read on news now ” Celts are here” totally write off Eboue Kouassi
I will repeat
He took ill when he joined us 18 months ago, and has then had 2 injuries, last one serious knee injury – at 21 he could still have a part to play given a chance ??

I thought the worst after the Cluj game at home. There were so many mistakes that night that I was genuinely concerned about Lenny’s decisions. Fair play to him, and the players, since that night there has been a huge upturn in our performances and results.
————–
Same here, though yesterday was a worry. Starting 11 was wrong, and the subs were wrong.
Hopefully it was just a blip.
——
I, and most around me yesterday, were happy enough with the starting 11. I will concur that some of the substitutions were strange, and in my opinion probably wrong.
Having said that things have been fantastic since Cluj.

Ps I disagreed with most coming out of the ground that Hayes shouldn’t have been brought on. I thought he improved us.

I take it I was the only Ncham choice ? I thought he was terrific until he got unnecessarily involved (after getting the foul) … I really like Olivier … but shoe-horning him into the team doesn’t help the team …
NorrieM asked yesterday who was going to be playing the number 10 role … Ncham got the shout but I think Ryan should now have that role and keep the team performing and not individuals
Olivier is pure Quality but he disnae YET, have the fitness of a Ryantula.

There is no doubt that NFL is a far improved manager from the one that left us 5 yrs ago to join Bolton. HH
I think he is a terrific man manager (MON) .. some might think he is a dinosaur but he is far more intelligent than some would have you believe, he knows his “press pals” are waiting to pounce … remember
Neil left Leicester for Celtic for less money and Brendan left Celtic for Leicester for more money …
Time is a terrific healer as I was quite happy when Brendan took Leicester into 3rd place in the premiership today… his first game for Leicester I was cheering (& financially backed the opposition that day) but life is far too short … and I will be cheering KT in tomorrow night at old Trafford …

There is mis-information that Celtic let Andrew Robertson go because he was too “wee” that is a lot of rubbish .. Andrew at 17 went and signed amateur with Queens Park as no other club was interested … he has worked very hard and went fae QP to Dundee Utd … to Hull … to Liverpool one of the reasons he didn’t make it at Celtic is a wee guy a few years younger was already impressing all the coaches … KT will be a star with the gunners … I wish the bhoy well
In my opinion, not one corporate waster, csc leech or green brigade loser should receive another Celtic away game ticket ever.
Think that covers everyone there yesterday. More’s the pity.
Time to give Celtic fans some tickets.
A pathetic support yesterday.

The game was a wee bit stretched i thought around the 45-60 mark. Hayes gave us a wee bit more dig and structure and Hibs didnt lay a glove on us thereafter. I read it as Lennys way of tightening things up and getting Christie into the no10 position. Lenny does the numbers, his teams dont often lose in the League and yesterday he made sure we didn’t get beaten. Thats how i saw it.
