I am not talking about the fans at the game, what is posted on here is shocking. It give the laptop loyal there headlines.

All l ask is support our my team.

  2. Neil Lennon has been showing some incredible character in really testing times. It is good to see him instilling it in his young team as well.

Tonight was a tough game because if Hibs knocked us out they would have had a great chance to win the cup, which is a big thing for these teams.

Well done to the Management team and the Bhoys tonight, superb stuff and off to work happy.

  3. Anyone else think Scott McD comes across well on TV?

Needs to hold his head up when on camera, but , unusually for a Scottish game commentator, he gives the impression of having some knowledge of the teams he is commentating on. Also seems to have done his homework.

Enjoyed that second half. I saw it coming, as my half-time comments will verify. Some of the criticism was unbelievable. Too many supporters nowadays lose the plot when we go behind, instead of getting behind the team. Even when we got the goals, some of the praise was tempered by sarcasm. Celtic supporters my arse.

    Hail hail.

Fantastic Celtic. Couldn’t care less if you play like that in the first half if you play the second half the way you did. Triple is ours.

If you are still around, they said the draw is next week but didn’t say what day.

Anyone else enjoying listening to Skippy?

    Intelligent and informed.

He used to score one or two ‘an all…

  8. My Forrest comment at half time – That’s why I could’nae lace NL’s boots.

    Stay with him..

  9. Mtt

With you 100%. Just combining two opinions.

Should know better than to try multi-tasking!

  10. Night and day performance from James Forrest – his 2nd half was as sublime as his 1st was hopeless. Congratulations and kudos to Lenny for having the foresight to keep him on – many (me included) would have had him subbed him at half time. Black boots from now on!

Nice to see Hooper and Stokes on the scoresheet, but my MOTM would go to Matthews. Excellent in both halves, with some stolid defending in the first, and a lovely ball over the top for Hooper in the second. He looks almost equally effective down both flanks. Rogne was a rock – superb return to action, and Ledley was his usual consistent self.

Maj had a bad ‘un – it happens. However, that’s another victory notched up with him and Rogne at CB. Might be worth persevering with this partnership.

  11. Forrest, Rogne, Stokes, Matthews were all excellent

Ki, Ledley, Kayal, Wilsona and maybe Forster all did okay, while Hooper came on to a game

    Dan is a bombscare

Victor, Cha and Paddy all did well when they came on

Bring on saturday – but not before my birthday tomorrow :D

    Night all

  12. for a period of about 20 minutes in that second half it was like the ghost of past coming down and taking over those players, please

stay with us till the end of the season and make it so, if they play to that type of commitment then we are really back in with a shout for the league,

that was better than coming back from 3-0 down to killie because you could actually see the fight in them from the start of the half, but its time to show

this commitment from the start in matches from now on for only then will they reap the rewards of being champions.

I’m sure there can be hunfiltrators but

It can be hard to describe bad Celtic play.

If we play poor it may come over as neg but that’s not everyones agenda

Bhoys who can’t see it still want to know wats happening even if were playing poorly

I think you are being quite reasonable in that assessment.

Fraser has been a very promising keeper since he arrived but his strengths were in shot stopping and standing up in one to ones from players breaking centrally. He was less good at coming for crosses. reacting to bouncing balls/stramashes in the goalmouth, and, initially, with kick out distribution. In short, most of the characteristics of a young keeper. Shay Given and Alan McGregor were playing a more lowly level of football at his age.

Since he came to us, his kick outs and distribution have improved greatly. He is still following goalie coach’s instructions to leave anything out of the 6 yard box to his CB’s and to resort to punching in a crowded challenge. In doing so, he is following modern goalie coaching orthodoxy.

As he gets more experience, he will learn when to come out and when to stay. What is most impressive, at this stage, is how few genuine howlers he commits and, yes, I acknowledge there have been errors, initiated by our defenders, that have left him exposed and looking foolish.

I have always wanted him to stay, so I am hoping Tim Krul has a great season for Newcastle.

  15. TerryONeill Neil ah love yae on

Transformed Celtic in the second half well done Neil Lennon.

Liked what he said he gave Forrest a shiriking told him tae change his boots white tae black it done the trick.

Young Forrest still looks like a spotty youth but he has added strength to his existing attributes of skill balance an brains.

    A match winner.

Happy for Stokes an especially Hooper who’s commitment has been questioned.

Lots tae be pleased about another victory on Saturday an we can gain even more confidence an momentum.

It really is amazing tae see confidence surge thru a Celtic team an the support as usual stuck wae the team a great night.

  16. Philbhoy - It's just the beginning! on

    Right, I’ve calmed down now.

I posted after the Hibs goal, no panic it was an og.

To all you imposters who were ripping your knittin’ in the first half, supporting Celtic is really not for you.

My dear old Dad, God rest him, taught me to support my team until the final whistle goes.

To all you that chucked in the towel in the first half, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I suspect that if you had been at the game you would have missed the last four goals.

You should hang your heads in shame.

You know who I am talking about.

I will not respond to any responses to this post.

    C’MON THE CELTS!!!!!!!

  17. West Wales Celt on

BTW, you wonder what effect he had on us going forward.

Victor gives us a bit of stability.

Wonder if we capitalised on that tonight?

  18. Pleased for Neil Francis Lennon tonight.

We’ve a horrendous injury list but he’s never used it once as an excuse.

Neil is, unfortunately, only ever now one bad result away from calls for his head.

    Not from me.

  19. That interviewer was so sympathetic and gutted for Colin Calderwood…what a nice interviewer. Concentrated on the positives for the Hibees. Was he the same guy that was disgusted with Celtic’s first half performance when interviewing Lenny?? BBC Sport Scotland – shower of blatant huns.

  20. Neil Lennon got his tactics spot on in the 2nd half, he moved ki to left and joe ledley into the middle. joe ledley was immense.

Neil please keep joe in the centre of park he is waisted out in left..

  21. Josimar is Neil Lennon on

most important peformance tonight was thomas rogne at the back.

was strong in the air and composed on the ball. well done on his first game for a while.

can only improve from here on.

    here’s hoping he stays fit

    good work bhoys

  22. Just a nice wee anicdote.

Sitting watching the game, Paddy comes on, my Daughter starts joining in “Paddy McCourts Fenian Army”

Paddy then dances past 4 or 5 defenders, tries to chip the goalie, ” How does he do that?” says I, the wee Lass says, “Can Paddy bend space and time?”

Well done tonight to the team. Neil pulled Joe in and allowed Ki to play wider at the start of he second half, that stiffened us up in the middle of the park. That and wee Forrest running them ragged were the main reasons for the win.

Big Fraser looks better and better, the commentators kept saying our defence looked shaky, not for me they didn’t, perfect,no but apart from a couple of chances we gave nothing away.

What was the Huns score? Oh, forgot, they’re oot;-)

    Roll on Saturday.

  23. glendalystonsils on

We might have won ugly on Saturday but the first 30 mins of the 2nd half tonight was a thing of beauty. That is what celtic are all about and I was beginning to wonder if I would ever see it again.

The sound of Craig Pattershun sobbing makes it even sweeter. This should give us a huge lift.

  24. Clashcitybhoy and WWC

I agree that Scott Mcdonald has spoken well. If I was the studio host, I don’t know if I could resist saying ” What’s that you’re saying, Skippy? Has Beram Kayal fallen down a well?” :-)

I was also impressed by Stuart Lovell as a studio guy rather than a pitchside interviewer.

Must be an Ozzie thing- talking a good game :-)

I think the lad could be a very good goalkeeper.

The down side to that will be the fee newcastle want from us for his full time services.

We need a plan b, if you know what I mean.

  26. Why are some people complaining about negative comments on here? It was a poor first half performance and we were a goal down. No doubt Neil also told them it wasn’t good enough at half time. Most people were quick to praise when things improved in the second half. Surely opinions can be expressed?

  27. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!! Tick Tock !! on

Setting the bears free…21.11..absolutely….!!!!….the media campaign will only be thwarted by ‘character’ on the field….

  28. West Wales Celt @ 21:26

If memory serves me right, he was brought on for Kayal 2nd half against Rennes – Kayal’s heart was missing. He stabilised the defence, which allowed the rest of the midfield to concentrate on getting the ball up to Stokes.

To be controversial (in mild comparison to others :) ), i’ve liked Bangura as well, but some of us don’t like strikers who defend with the team. If he’d been there 2nd half today, it would have been a better chance to see his potential, but it was more important that Hoops got his goal today, and a cracker it was.

I’m as delighted for Lenny tonight as i am for us. Never doubted him. The Main Mhan.
