  1. The media wanted it to be a pen so that’s what they see, forget the facts, a bit like the pen we got, then never got at D Utd a few years back, they kept saying the ref got the decision right at the end of the day, no he didn’t, it was a pen all day long.

How for the life of me they can say that was a pen today tells you everything you need to know about them, DB got the ball a split second before the striker, so much so the striker stood on DB’s foot, it was a free to Celtic, but they will tell the lie often enough

  2. A huge result today after Wednesday night. Our players now have a few days to recover before we play our hardest domestic game of the season against opponents who have had 10 days rest. The Invincibles record is most definitely on the line in Aberdeen on Wednesday. Hh

  3. if hibs had handed back tickets we wouldnt have been able to sell them either. there was hundreds of spare tickets on the streets today…..

  4. I’d pay £500 per year for an ad free version of this blog. Really the ads get on my tits that much. I swear to god even with the most careful touch you end up navigating to some pish. Anyway Müller taken off by bayern there. Took a right sore one on the thigh. Tiago on as replacement.

  5. Dallas/Park Rd.

Thanks for info about Bankies game. I was just about to ask Park Rd how Girvan got on.

Great result for Pollok. Guy in work is a Celtic season ticket holder but goes to Beith too when he can. He will be getting it tight on Monday.

    Hail Hail

  6. Newco top team for tomorrow

Steven McLean will then referee the second semi-final, with Graeme Stewart, Stuart Stevenson and fourth official Alan Muir providing assistance.

    Mothers have no chance

  7. if we get motherwell in the final. everyone who wants to go will get a ticket and tickets will be plentiful and spare for yer auntie that is visiting that november weekend.

if we get sevco. thousands that were there today will miss out.

Some Time soon Celtic will be appreciated in Scotland.

    CELTIC

I was Screaming “f*ck the SFA” in the South Stand, obviously embarressing to the wee guy, not to me.

  9. TWC- Common sense tells you to sell from the South Stand round for away fans, going towards the North Stand….whatever is left , sell…

  10. i am a big fan of john mcginn, but as you say, today broony bossed him, and then some.

if he comes to celtic, he will sit on the sidelines for 2 years, unless scott is injured.

The Administrators will now realise they have no chance.

The game will be refereed properly, to look good.

    Get them all to feck.

  12. If the official attendance was over 39000 and Hibs sold 10,000 tickets.

How many Celtic fans were at the game?

    Hail Hail

  13. Talking of empty seats – plenty at St Mary’s with only 32,000 capacity

    greatest league my erchie

  14. Craig Gordon is a world class GK. However it is as clear to anyone who knows anything about football that he cannot play BRs style of football. Either we change our style of play or change our goalkeeper. Hh

  15. or, gordon is just told to pass it to the first available celtic player, while taking no more than two touches.

    That is Crazy Jibber jabber……

I said to Aidan that Brendan is likely to bring in a new keeper.

CG has developed as a player, he isnae as good as he thinks he is, being a footballer.

  17. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

Reading and listening to various commentators it’s pretty apparent Celtic and in particular Brendan Rodgers’ star is on the wane.

Notice too, more of my fellow supporters are now coming forward with similar areas of concern.

Boyatta today was shocking, giving the ball away which lead to the penalty equaliser, it just shouldn’t happen at this level. Having regained some sort of position the Belgian then mis-timed his tackle and made it with the wrong foot too. That nearly cost us.

This guy is not CL quality and we will never win the Big-cup again with such. Rodgers is culpable he could, no should have spent 4 or 5 million in the summer to attract a top talent.

I’ve noticed Rodgers commenting about were we are in terms of building a style and structure. It’s a plea for time, of course. That’s two years though and we are still struggling in Europe.

Celtic’s efforts in european football have been humbling experiences. Even in comparison to our other representatives, who suffered narrow defeats, Progres has proven elusive.

I’ve read CQN today and there’s some valid criticism e.g. not having an alternative strategy to combat other teams. I fully get the idea that adapting our game to suit others should be up “there”. Unless we start to adapt, the 60 game undefeated run will surely end. I’m worried about Aberdeen, perhaps taking Roberts and Sinclair out of the starting 11 and bolster the midfield and defence should be considered ?

I read some quality post match reports on Thursday morning. Matt Lindsay in The Herald questioned Brendan’s open style as being a major factor in the CL hammering.

Lindsay had a fair point and he wasn’t alone in reminding us that we had been hammered.

I actually felt for Rob McLean, having waited so long to see The Celtic beaten unable to share his glee with buddies. So we got it, over and over again.

Lindsay’s tactical suggestion really resonates. He’s a journalist, but he has vast experience of watching teams tactically set-up to stop football (and it probably would too). The architect of the tactics was successful in stopping some football clubs permanently too.

Lennon was offered a chaperone, a mentor when he was appointed. Perhaps, Brendan would benefit from a sage defensive mentor. Walter “Wattanacio” Smith could help ? It’s a win-win, for me.

Celtic would learn how to defend and their grandas would be Celtic supporters too.

  18. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

Jeez wish I had waited and read some more of the ridiculous …..ridiculous assertions on here.

  19. I sense SA has become the teachers pet. His performance level from last season has dipped and he offered little both in Munich and today. Hh

  20. Kev G.

    I think you are correct.

We reduced who could obtain a ticket to any season ticket holder FCFS at the end. I don’t think we would have sold many more than what we did.

Quite a few will not go near Hampden now.

I also think a good few on ticket schemes took their ticket to protect ratings to enable them a better change of ticket in final, if we qualified but didn’t attend for one reason or another, still drunk in Baveria for some :-))

    Hail Hail

  21. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

Thought we were a bit slow in getting the ball forward at times when we won it in our half.

Someone would receive the ball with their back to goal and immediately pass it back. It would then get passed back again or sideways three or four times before going forward. Ask any striker and they will tell you they want the ball played to them early.

That’s why I prefer Callum playing a bit deeper. He is the one who gets it moving forward quickly. Always looks up to see what is on before receiving the ball and has a great weight of pass, like the one to KT today.
