  1. Auldheid @ 9.40,

Exactly my take on Boyatta. I thought he had a good game. His only weakness is the odd giving away possession with a stray pass. His tackling is excellent. It was never a penalty. He is, imo, the lynchpin in our defence.

Mind you, I was delighted to see our captain back today, Again, imo, he simply gets better and better.

  2. Not trying to be controversial but Rob McL is not a Hun.

His lhad is Celtic daft and Rob is a Ross County / Aberdeen fan. Might have no great feeling for us but definitely no malice.

In saying that his commentary on Wednesday was appalling and unneccessary vitriolic. No idea why.

  3. DD,

Dedryck is really starting to impress me, he is playing like a cool cucummber when the ball is @ his feet.

Big Nir had a very good game today.

Things should get easier from here on in.

    Bayern were mega Awesome though.

Hope will be in the Heart.

Corkcelt, your kind words have prompted me to recount this little tale from earlier in the season which sums up what it means to be Celts. After the game. I headed down to the vigil Mass in St. Mary’s after which I caught a bus heading in to town. On board were quite a few supporters but importantly, an Asian family, a little lad of about six and his sister who looked about ten, plus their mum and dad.

A group of fans were getting off at Glasgow Cross and one removed his. scarf turned to the little fellow, rapped the scarf around the little chap’s neck and said, “There you go wee man. ”

The lad’s face lit up and, he turned to his mum and said, “Pakistan colours.” The Celt smiled at him and said, “Celtic colours.”

Obviously concerned that the big sister was missing out, a second supporter reached in to his pocket and handed her his programme.

The parents smiled and smiled and and kept repeating their thanks.

The family got off at St Enoch’s and it was lovely to see the little fellow marching along the pavement, proudly wearing his new scarf [which was nearly down to his ankles] with a huge smile on his face.

This is what it means to be Celtic.

  5. Dallas.

Whether he gets paid or not will depend on the owners mood.

He tends to pay them every 6 weeks or so and if results are favourable wee things like missing a game are forgotten. However if they are knocked out next week no way will be be paid. The owner is good with the players, I better not say anymore our HMRC guys might be reading. :-)))

    Hail Hail

    Does hospitality constitute additional wages?

Well played, Celtic. What idiot would call a first win of the season for Partick Thistle in LMS9?

When we play, play, play Moussa Dembele.

    OH-oh my, my, my! It’s a beautiful day!¶

A tough week. Celts move on to more tough games. Here’s to 7IAR!. Five more to go!

    Celtic forever

  8. Thought that Moussa was making it clear, during his full time interview,

that he is fit and ready to start games,

like most players he aint happy on the bench

Wonder if anybody else napped it earlier ? It’s been a long year and a bit :-)

  11. I’ve only rewatched selective sections of the game including the penalty.

For the entire 1st half we were on cruise control and should have been more than 2 ahead, based on possession and dominance.

Gordon had one save in the first half, from a dubious free kick.

The penalty award gave them some heart and they were a wee bit more competitive without giving us any real doubt about the final outcome.

The final score was a poor reflection on our superiority.

No one should be criticizing any of our players as they carried out the manager’s instructions to a capital T.

Broonie was indomitable again and Boyata was almost equally so.

Lustig was chasing a rabbit down the wing but stuck manfully to his task and found the time and space to score his brace.

I thought KT was a wee bit jaded but it is understandable with the number of appearances he has made. Unlucky not to score when he hit the post.

It turns out the early Saturday kick off works in our favour.

We played on a wet pitch which will be cut up tomorrow. Probably suits the agricultural play of the zombies.

We have an extra day to recover and prepare for the table topping clash with Aberdeen.

60 down and on a roll.

  12. Kev J will be laughing, he always likes to think he’s keeping the blog on his toes, We are now debating whether or not he’s a Celtic supporter.

I suppose it depends on definition of supporter.

I’m firmly in the camp that Kev is a Celtic man, who no longer goes to the games.

    Hail Hail

  13. Fairhill Bhoy,

We need others to step up to the plate.

    Petrie @ Hibs WTF?

Aberdeen will make an impact soon, long after Neil Lennon @ Hibs.

Celts will drag the Nation up. I have no doubts about that.

  16. Fairhill
