  1. Good second half performance. Improved when Armstrong and Rogic were hooked. This is a good 3 points after Euro loss.

Mike in Toronto. Happy Birthday. Looks like we share the same day.

  2. Thumbs up today for Tierney, Boyata, Simunovic, Bitton, Griff, McGregor. Armstrong and Johansen disappointing. Great skill at the end from Scott Alan, he looks a class player.

  3. mike in toronto on

Second half performance showed some glimpses of promises, and may give RD some reason to think he might need to rethink a few things …a midfield of Briton, Scott Allen and Ryan Christie could produce some rewards ….

Wee McGregor has played really well last two games. Wasn’t a fan but he’s starting to look the part now.

    ——–

He scores goals from midfield, it’s priceless but only gets hate on here.

  5. Agree that Johansen is still disappointing. Passing/forward movement wasn’t there. But, barring one challenge in the first half when he pulled out, he was much better at breaking down ICT play. Needs to buckle down to try to get back to last season’s form.

Tierney was terrific. Young and still learning so hopefully even more to come from him.

Griff, bounced back brilliantly after Thursday.

  6. Mc cann would have waving the rule book if he was there at Coles goal, I thought it was a pen in any case and that’s why gollum let the goal stand

  7. Kevinlasvegas and Cathedral view,

    Thank you.

The real heroes today have got to be the fans who travelled the long journey up there and on their way back in atrocious conditions. What a wonderful support and never stopped singing all day.

You keep yur eyes aff ma wife …….hahahahahahaha

  10. A good positive result for Ronny Deila’s much-maligned team today, in difficult conditions.

Ronny’s record in domestic matches in charge of Celtic now reads:

    Played 65

    Won 50

    Drawn 9

    Lost 6

    Scored 155

    Conceded 34

    Clean sheets 37

    Failed to score 7

Comparing this record with that of Neil Lennon after the same number of games…

Ronny’s team has lost two games fewer …who would have thought?!

Ronny’s team has scored five goals more …who would have thought?!

Ronny’s team has conceded TEN goals fewer …who would have thought?!

And Ronny’s team has kept one more clean sheet …who would have thought?!

But of course, after 65 domestic games at the helm there was an interminable clamour amongst the Celtic “supporters” for Neil Lennon to be sacked. Wasn’t there? No, I thought not!

  12. Cosy Corner Bhoy on

Firstly, and most important Happy Birthday to Mike in Toronto (actually been there one weekend) . Thought the two up front which we have all been crying for worked really considering one of the two had’nt kicked a ball for a long time.maybe, just maybe,,RD might think a wee bit outside his own box !

  13. Better second half display.

    Allan and Tierney linking well.

Happy hoopy birthday to MIKE IN TORONTO.

    HH!!

  14. Luke Shanley….Pr#ck. Just can’t help themselves. Not intentional and then knocked in by Devine.

  15. 16 roads - Celtic über alles... on

Johansen covered every blade of grass on the pitch. He can’t be criticised for lack of effort anyway.

Think he’s about the only player we have capable of playing the high pressure pressing game that Ronny espouses – pointless playing that way then if none of the other players are up to it.

    Good result nonetheless. No complaints.

    HH.

  16. Good win today.

I seldom listen to commentators but I fortunately caught Barry Robson on SKY. Very honest and fair. Would love to see him back at Parkhead when he stops. He could teach our players how to dig in. Too many can’t.

  17. Experts in the studio open with our third goal should not stand missing the obvious PENALTY we should have been awarded had the ball not gone in the net.

I’m no expert but despite its scrappy nature the goal looked legit to me.

A fit Carlton Cole will destroy defenses in Scotland.

  18. Didn’t think Joe was too bad today. Tierney was my MOM with McGregor a close second, they gave it to Bitton. Thought Nir did OK but hardly a MOM performance. What in the name of God has happened to Armstrong, looks a totally different player then from his early games. Very hard to judge Cole, he has been out for so long but he looks a hell of a big bhoy.

  19. Barry dealt with the snidely Tanner well today.

Slagging Ronny because Callum played well this week . Callum lost his place to Armstrong and Maxkay-Stephen – it happens

  20. A decent win after the disappointment on Thursday. A stodgy performance though.

Good to see that Cole gives another option up front and Scott Allan looked the part and linked well.

  21. Good win for Ronny Deila’s men and the Celtic support.

Team selection spot on, but some cheek the home side had, daring to equalise.

McGregor and Allan ( folk duo? ) were excellent, and Scott Allan has done more with two simple passes, in two games, than some have all season.

We mustn’t dwell too long because the sense of self entitlement kicks in and this was only the league that’s already won before it starts.

    Onwards to the treble csc

G1998 – Yer wee man Devine is a St.James’ Bhoy.

His Da was a brilliant hurley player for Rossa.

Thanks for the pint on Thursday mo chara.

You are a gentleman and a scholar.

  23. the glorious balance sheet on

Solid win at a difficult venue in tricky circumstances less than three days after playing in Europe.

Credit to the team for getting the three points.

I’m really liking the look of scott Allan. If he can come as a sub at difficult times and influence the game as he did today and on Thursday then I look forward to seeing what he can do in a full 90 minutes.

    BIGCHIPSUK – 10 IN A ROW (2001-2010) on 29TH NOVEMBER 2015 2:22 PM

What was Neil’s Euro record for in that period. He also never started well in Europe any stats.

  25. Stairheed…,

I think its natural talent with self motivation and application, unless tommy Gemmil is sneaking into lennoxtown.

  26. Hunderbirds are Gone on

Things to improve on, but maybe Cole gave food for thought finally for Ronny on the system. A chink of light I think. Always good to record a win after a European humbling.

Thanks to all for the concise and thoughtful updates and rapid sausages. Excellent coverage.

Hoopy Birthday to MNCELT and MIKE IN TORONTO.

Mike, I got six years on you and still proudly wear hoops, away strips, t-shirts and polo shirts. Those that think there is an age limit on such behaviour are entitled to their opinion, but those of us who disagree should ………… Well, disagree :)). My ever increasing torso in the last year or so, may cause a rethink one day, but I reckon you got years left yet. Wear it with pride!!!
