  1. By the way,I agree totally with Stokes today. If you are not playing him,why take him.I heard the bhoy has been really putting the work in,so why not put him on the bench.Cole could have made his debut at Celtic Park.

If the club has a problem with the bhoy, tell him,and let him start looking for a new club in January.Dont include him in squads when his hopes get raised, then dashed.FFS,he deserves better.Been a good player for the club.

  2. One thing that i notice in Celtic games is the difference in referee’s tolerance to both teams.

The central defenders of Inverness attacked ball and man consistently when we attacked.

Our central defenders have a more hold position style and stay on feet.

Being a central defender for Celtic is always more challenging due to rules interpretation.

Opponents can play tight and physically whereby we are nearly always penalised for same.

Strangely enough when those type of physical no nonsense defenders played against a now defunct club they played off the man in a manner akin to how we defend.

    Why?

Boumsong and that diddy from Hearts now at therangers both benefitted from this and were both sold for values way above their ability.

  3. The_Huddle I don’t think you,ve understood the concept of a loan, wee bit like these sevconians with the EBT’s eh ! H H Hebcelt

  4. Stokes is finished at Celtic. Had some good moments in the past but question marks over attitude, professionalism, work ethic etc. Behaviour today was pathetic and embarrassing. Get rid.

No great conspiracy but I’d assume every club in the world takes a full squad to games just in case a player gets injured in the warm up or the manager has a change of tactics when arriving at the ground so needs to amend his squad list. Most likely that Stokes was never going to be on the bench, surely he knew that based on his participation this season.

I’d imagine Stokes is included in plenty of match day squads when we play at home, does he complain then when he has to watch Celtic play?

Utter nonsense. . He really should be looking across the dressing room for a lesson in attitude and how to fight your way back into the manager’s plans.

First I’ve read that statement ….I know I know I’m a bit slow , what is the next stage and who takes it forward ?

BTW , fully expect to see you on “strictly” after Cowiebhoys glowing critique of your dancing moves ……aul snakehips :))

  10. FAN-A-TIC,

Was talking with my mate after the game about how it must affect Celtic players knowing they have to contend with this treatment from the MIBs in almost every domestic game. Today Bitton was properly booked but how the likes of Draper remained on the pitch, never mind being booked, just shows how much we have been cheated over the years.

Another thing that strikes me is that many of the Celtic players on the park today have probably already played twice as many games as their opponents, due to European ties and Internationals. It is bound to have an effect. Sure, we only played Ajax a couple of nights ago.

The manager would have had his work cut out to boost their morale going into the game, never mind the travel up to Inverness in horrendous conditions.

On the whole, then, an excellent day for the team.

By the way, McGregor was dropped because, after a good start, he ended up playing like GMS is doing just now. If he is now realising his potential, then again the manager has to be creditted with developing him properly.

I believe Anthony Stokes has been told he has no future at Celtic and his agent should find him a new club I wonder how many thousand a week he is paid and yet he moans about going to Inverness. Stoksie I also believe you had enough chances. H.H.

A bit surprised at so many writing us off when it’s 1-1, 45 mins to go I’ll reserve judgement till the finale whisle

    ——————-

Common sense posted by Eddie…….just a pity it’s ‘final whistle’ mhate :O) HH

  13. So the half time doom merchants fail to appear after the final whistle….celtic supporters my arse!

  14. Not a great game but some good individual performances 3 points at ICT ALWAYS good! Corkcelt – history for Clonmel Commercials beating Nemo Rangers, big day in Munster for Tipp.

  15. Joe Filippis Haircut on

CANALAMAR. No written proof fella only word of mouth you either believe it or you dont your choice. I believe it though but time will tell. H.H.

  16. eddieinkirkmichael on

Great result in difficult conditions just days after a demoralising defeat to Ajax. Credit to the manager for getting the players up for it, first half wasn’t particularly easy on the eye but we did what we had to do. How many times in the past did we perform after coming back from Europe?

Cole looks like he is hungry and that can only bode well for the games ahead. Teirney did brilliantly to get the cross in for Griff’s goal after a sublime pass by Allan. Wonder if he’s ready to start a game yet?

All things considered it was a great day for the players and coaching staff.

  17. Fine result in what could have been a tricky game.

Regardless of side issues, Stokes has to accept that he is simply an employee.

Like any employee anywhere, if employer is paying his wages to travel to Inverness or Timbuctu, then so be it.

Could be by tweeting, he is trying to work his ticket.

  18. Gerryfaethebrig on

Well done Ronny, there are plenty who were ready (maybe even hoping) for a defeat, I am a bit gutted if I don’t see Anto Stokes back in a Celtic jersey, honestly thought him and Hooper could have broke records as a partnership but Celtic is far bigger than any player, am glad he was gutted about not getting a game but let the manager stand or fall by any decision, thought Stef Johansen was very good defensively today, a bit like for Norway in the play offs, think Scott Allan has got that wee bit of fitba nous we are missing, anyway Ronny has some record of winning after a European disappointment …… Always take the positive, there are plenty others that prefer the negative, Leigh Griffiths also, after missing a few chances the other night the wee man bags another, like any really good striker

  19. Eddieinkirkmichael: “Cole looks like he is hungry”

I disagree. He looks very well fed to me;)

  20. Stokes has issued an apology for his twatter shyte, so, even he knows he was out of order then.

  21. 67HEAVEN .. CHALLENGING THE LIE ..I AM WEE OSCAR…… IPOX BELONGS TO THE CREDITORS on 29TH NOVEMBER 2015 3:10 PM

Well done, Andy Murray….. An awesome sportsman / competitor……

A wee thought for pampered footballers.

Yesterday Andy Murray played a draining four setter.

Today he started roughly quarter of an hour before Celtic match. Without a half time break he was performing long after the final whistle at Inverness.

    Wee bit of paranoia.

As his victory became certain, BBC wallah was comparing it to other great British sporting achievements. 1966, Lewis Hamilton, Pool and Man U in Europe. No mention of 67.

Watch any English games and see the booking to fouls ratio. No matter what time of the game a yellow is a yellow. Lat week Madden was shocking! I watched game on TV and he allows repeated fouls before booking in the lat few minutes. Its all calculated to allow hammer throwers carte blanche.

The tackle on Brown was a straight red in any league.

Kt like the way this bhoy defends no nonsense. Always looks to get forward but not in a kamikaze way Izzy does. Good prospect along with a few others. Just need a manager and we could have a bright future.

  26. Emusanorphan

Typical Celtic supporting pussies are we.

Look how well we and Scotland perform on the international stage when refs apply the rules as written.

Scottish football’s tolerance of this style of play particularly iby the custodians of the game is shocking.

Strangely the refs tolerance is less for players wearing Celtic colors .

  27. McPhail Bhoy, Yep it was a huge win for Clonmel Commercials Ok. Football has been improving a lot in Tipperary in recent years and the County has had some very good underage teams. Today is a big breakthrough at Club level and will give the game here a big boost. I must admit I am much more a hurling then Gaelic Football man myself but I would have a passing interest in it.

  29. Listening to that guy tanner on sky in pre game intro with Barry Robson.

What a bitter anti Celtic wee apology of an individual.

Bitterness and resentment which could eat him up along with walker.

Mind you listening to the baying masses on here, sad pathetic bankrupt mercenaries like sutton and callers to Clyde and such like you would think we were the bankrupt club owing millions we have no idea how we will pay and in legal disputes with all and sundry.

Meanwhile supporters of the former rangers applaud to the rafters their criminal Chairman and unproven manager at their AGM. No real questions asked. All that matters to them is one day soon to get competing with celtic.

Utrecht and Braga were easier opponents than we had in europa this year yet we had a more expensive squad which at least had the benefit of domestic competition then and we lost. The following year we lost to udinese and others with less to spend than Fenerbace and lower pedigree than ajax ( who don’t forget are top of eredivese above PSV who may knock Man U out of europe).

There is lots not great at our club but ex celtic guys like walker and sutton doing the work of those who hate our club and its identity is something I cant abide.
