It doesn’t look good, Guardian. It doesn’t look good at all

Last week’s advert in the Tribune de Geneve was in English, despite the predominant local language being French. The primary target audience were Uefa representatives and functionaries, who are not drawn from the local Nyon catchment area, and will most likely speak English, with secondary target audiences in the UK. I hear both targets were reached.

There was a short-lived chat about which language to run with in Switzerland, but consensus was quickly reached that English was appropriate and sufficient. No translation was ever made.

Very much related to this subject…….

There was an incident when I was at school (many years ago). Two boys had exactly the same maths homework. This would have been fine had the work been correct, but the made exactly the same mistakes, so the teacher had sufficient proof to establish that he didn’t have two independently produced pieces of work.

The class lesson that day was, if you’re going to coordinate a response, you better get your facts right, or you’ll get caught.

Shortly after the Tribune de Geneve advert ran it was brought to my attention that some regularly-hostile-to-Celtic online loons were running with a line that an English advert had been sent to Switzerland and a French advert had been sent to an English newspaper by mistake.

This was fanciful, but not worthy of attention, because as you now know, there was never a French translation of the advert.

You can imagine my utter astonishment, therefore, that The Guardian claimed they didn’t run the advert because it was submitted to them in French, despite, as surely the world now knows, no French language version of the advert ever existing!

“If you’re going to coordinate a response, get your facts right.” It doesn’t look good, Guardian. It doesn’t look good at all. You’ve been caught in PR vice.

You know how PR works in Scottish football. Celtic and most clubs play with a straight bat: “This is the news relating to our games and events”, but there are clubs, personalities and organisations which are only tenable because of expensive and persuasive PR.

You remember the Poppy banner issue, which became news a full two days after a game, by which time PR could persuade journalists to run with a story which until then had no news value. You are only too familiar with some of the vacuous characters ushered into the game by newspapers demanding Lloyds Bank approve a takeover, while PR spun incredible lies about finance and probity.

The next time Celtic, or their manager, is vulnerable on a subject, look out for this Malign Influence.  It battered Ronny Deila when he lost games, and recently went for Peter Lawwell.

My thanks to The Guardian advertising people, who confirmed to us this morning that the advert they received was in English. That’s the other thing about coordinating a Malign Influence, you need to get buy-in from a lot of people!

Just 2 an a half hrs to go then shift finishes for the night. Back on day shift tomorrow then nights again on Monday. Can be slow at times so have the opportunity to catch up with CQN.

Res12 still seems to be an issue and for some like me it appears it’s a never ending story with promises of something big just round the corner that somehow just doesn’t happen. Would be good if something tangible was to come out in the short term as I along with countless others are beginning to lose interest as the weeks and months drag on. But hey we’ve waited this long so another few weeks won’t really matter as long as at the end of the day we are rewarded for our patience with a positive outcome.

Really looking forward to next season and hope to see you all at CQN corner.

Btw try and give the Raith Interchange a miss over the coming weeks at peak periods, trust me the traffic is going to be at a standstill due to road closures and contraflows.

94 smackeroonies was a highlight of the ad in the Guardian. Quite rightly too IMO, indeed it could have been more. The fact is The Mint, The Scarlet Pimpernel Mint who was never off the pages of our MSM for years has evaporated because as a Knight of The Realm, he is Untouchable. But any journalist worth their salt would link him and Lloyd’s to the global banking scandal/theft we have been conditioned to call austerity. That line of questioning does not want to be pursued by a lot of influential people, not because they care for the Mint, because he is a liability. Scotland is different. He is simply The Best Embarrasment. Wider world of Priviliged recognize his troublesome ego and hubris. They are not helping him. They are protecting themselves that the Res1/ Bhoys whole CAN OF WORMS opens. That is my honest opinion.

I have said before. The Mint, the Scottish Banks, a microcosm of the huge banking fraud we now label austerity. Never mind look at the Big Squirell called the EU Referndum. Where no voter understands the logic of their decision, well, very few.

I believe the Guardian debacle is a reflection of something bigger than Celtic. It points to a roadmap of not sporting integrity, but something much bigger. Hence years of Stonewalling simple questions.

As to our majority shareholder… He is IMO an insider and outsider to this world. He understands it, plays it, but can choose to be outside of them and their aims. Time will tell if DD is with us or against us.

As far as Brendan Rodgers is concerned. We should have had his calibre instead of Tony Mowbray. Because that’s who Celtic are. Even TM would admit that, or take it on the feckin chin….

Now we praise God for what was due years ago.

Sorry, I believe it is the Essence of the matter…

    Macjay.

I agree. JF has done sterling work, and that work substantiates the above . Simply because we have a series of Russian Dolls designed to distance themselves and the Institution from the Mint and his associates. The South African connection is the last in a long line that stretches from the Off The Radar of Craig W. It’s all a ridiculous narrative. But it is bought by so many… For a Reason.

Still believe SDM (the Mint) is being protected.

Sure S.D.M. is being protected. But gradually the walls of the craft ( Derry`s ? :-) ) are being eroded .

No doubt our wee ( Free ) S.F.A. can look for sustenance and protection from the parent body F.I.F.A. and its European subsidiary.

  9. Well, following a short encounter we had outside a Lanarkshire eatery at lunchtime yesterday, at least one former SNP former Government Minister, and still serving MSP, now knows of the existence of the group, Fans Against Criminalisation, and that they have a website, on which there are some damning figures on arrests under the OBAF act.

    “Needs reviewing” , he admitted.

    “Repealing, you mean”.

At least he took the time to talk to me, I suppose.

Early, I know but can anyone provide me with brief details of how Sevco and Rangers co-existed just prior to the Brechin game (to help convince some Sevcoites that they really are a new club).

  11. I know that the Res12tance-Rebels are already heroes for what they’ve done so far.

I also canny for one minute, accept that, Celtic’s PLC-Hierarchy weren’t aware of all the jiggery-poakery that was going on in the background of Scottish football to keep the huns at the top level of the game in this country.

    I canny accept it.

    Just canny accept it.

Ah mean, the dugs in the street knew that the huns wurny paying they’re tax bills since, Terry O’Neill started to rattle the cages about it on SSB.

All of that going on and yet, nobody at Celtic-PLC-Hierarchy level knew anything about it ?

    Ma erchie!!!!!

The Prophets of the Jungle have been informing me that…..never mind, the governance of the game in Scottish football, The SFA, R*ngers FC, The SMSM, The Scottish Establishment…..forget awe thaim !!!!

1st port of call has to be – The Deceitful Celtic-PLC-Hierarchy.

    You will achieve NOTHING ! ZERO ! NADDA ! ZILCH ! HEE-HAW !

Celtic shareholders are taking on the Scottish Establishment’s dark-arts-exponents.

Celtic-PLC-Hierarchy are a willing-kowtowing-sleekit-deceitful-soul-selling part of that Establishment.

The first hurdle to be jumped in the pursuit of justice is, the removal of the controllers of Celtic-PLC-Hierarchy. Only Celtic’s paying supporters can do this.

It’s too late this year – they’ve already got you in the bag.

Who in they’re right mind dizny think that the Celtic-PLC-Hierarchy will already be digging tunnels underneath the Res12tance-Rebels ?

The Brendan-Squirrel has pulled the rug from under yer feet, just as yeez were starting to get uppitty!

    Celtic-PLC-Hierarchy, don’t seem to like uppitty-Tims.

Well, they should have no fears then.

Seems that the uppitty-Tims walked when the Jungle was no more.

    So, so sad.

    It really is.

Watching Celtic supporters being led a merry dance by a web-site that proclaims ‘Not Lazy Journalism’ with what seems to be a race to find out if they can produce more white-elephants than the Kelly’s & White’s did with all they’re Cambuslang will happen squirrels. Fmm..

Ali was very special. Normally, it is only years later that people receive an accolade such as`The Greatest` but as both Cassius Clay then as Muhammad Ali , Ali was considered so ( by many) whilst he was actually pursuing his career. Pretty (!) special.
