Celtic hammered Newco 5-1 home and away last season, knocked them out both cups, won one other game and conceded a late equaliser, allowing Newco their only moment of (cough) glory last season.
We finished 39 points ahead of Newco (who were 33 points from bottom). As we set off for the summer, glowing after the first invincible treble in history, chairman of Newco, that complete muppet Dave King, told the assembled media, “In footballing terms I don’t think Celtic are as far ahead as they could have been – certainly with our new signings.”
The two 5-1 defeats now look like Python’s Black Knight losing his legs one at a time, but protesting they were little more than flesh wounds. Except Python was a parody, this guy is being serious!
So, Brendan, Peter, Dermot, get the finger out. These people don’t believe 5-1 is a substantial enough winning margin. When we pitch up at Ibrox on the weekend of 23/24 September, ‘go Medieval on their ass’ to borrow from Quentin.
Take five minutes to update yourself on The Road to Lisbon cyclists, who traveled from Celtic Park to Estadio Nacional last month.
This has been a phenomenal and inspiring effort by a group of Celtic fans – and so many donors. What a great thing to be a part of.

Taking time off painting to comment on Dave King’s latest piece of garbage. We need to ridicule this guy. Make him and the Huns sorry that he ever opened his mouth. We should rename him Daft Dave and (whatever comes out of his mouth) his Deluded Pronouncements:
1) Celtic are not as far ahead of us as they should be. NB Celtic beat Sevco 5 times out of 6 and drew the other game. In the process Celtic scored 16 goals and conceded 4. Celtic also won the treble, finishing 39 (thirty-nine) points ahead of Sevco in the SPFL and knocked Sevco out of the Scottish Cup and League Cup at the semi-final stage.
2) Celtic have only won two (League titles) in a row: Er ……. the records show that they have won six in a row. Is this creative accounting? John James suggests that Daft Dave is just a pretendy accountant just like his team are a bootleg act The Pretendy Bears. Daft Dave claims that Celtic can only win leagues if Sevco are in the same league. God help Daft Dave if Sevco had been present in the SPFL during the season when Hearts beat them by 21 points in the Championship and Celtic beat Aberdeen by a landslide in the SPFL.
We need to humiliate and ridicule this clown whenever he comes out with this guff.

Thought the Killers were good.
Foo Fighters, loved it.
Radiohead…you know when a band sings a song, that just gets you.
‘Let Down’ gets me every time, its a memory capsule:)
And a beautiful song, perfect in many ways.

I am a Radiohead fanatic. The only band I wanted to see at Glastonbury. The Foo Fighters and Biffy were my next two acts. The rest was background music.
TGM, agree about the Foo Fighters and The Killers. Radiohead just never did it for me. Could never really get into them.

CQN Stars in their Eyes night would be hilarious.

Love allsorts of Music, from Lightnin Hopkins to Ivor Cutler, but whenever i hear Willie Clancy, it just slaughters me.
That wee man was a genius.
I defy anybody to listen to ‘Dark Lochnagar'(on YT), without amazement, its hair-raisingly sublime and awesome.
HH
Willie Clancy, what a mighty wee man.
I mean there is talent, and then there is something beyond.

Just read back your lovely tributes to Michael Tracey from Drumchapel. My mother in law Patricia’s wee brother. Great wee guy. The Tracey tribe are heartbroken. Another good Tim gone too soon.
Michael Tracey rip.

Never mind Papin. ..Dominique Rochteau. .now there was a french player who I would have loved to see in the hoops. ..though I don’t think our antipodean free market enthusiast would have approved of his political views.

There`s no such thing as a free market.
I watched Bojan play a couple of games in the Bundesliga last season and wasn’t impressed.
TOSB
I watched Bojan a few times and he stood out a mile. Excited about this if true. My Sunderland supporting cousins think he will destroy Scottish fitba, and they come up a lot to watch Celtic.
TOSB
Thats why, i think it maybe a possibility.
Scott Sinclair type scenario.
Brendan works some magic again.
Could be a smart move.
Id prefer Bojan to Borini.

Bojan who is already a very good player could take his game to another level with the backing of our wonderful support and Brendan’s coaching.
Love to see him in the hoops
DBhoy
Bojan is seriously excellent as a fitba player.
I would be ecstatic if we signed him.
Hope Izzy retires as a Celtic player. Love that wee man.
If we ever get short with injuries on the left mid, I think Izzy could do a job there.
Great going forward but suspect position wise when defending, KT and his mentor on the same wing
Immerse your soul in love!

See you later Theresa, just shut the door on your way out.

All races all colours all creeds
got the same needs, and ignourance leads
the pain feeds the flame
international shame on a global scale
people live and in a hail
what’s that smell?
I ain’t talking about the poor but the rich
you can have everything you want and life can still be a bitch
which just goes to show that if you don’t let go of your ego
you’ll never know what peace really means
all your dreams loose magic and become speed teams of devils
and shovels digging levels so deep, they only surface at night,
smile at you while you just keep on, and you can never rest
and like a big dark secret keeping close to your chest,
because you wanna impress, make moves nothing less
then the best will do, don’t care who you screw
and got the nerve to wonder what the world is coming to

She had another fall that knocked her out. When she came round she said, “Did I damage the ground that I fell on?”
Maryhill street spirit she has. :)
Who would, Bojan keep oot the team ?
Anyway,…….
Whits the point in…..
having, mountain, after mountain, after mountain….
of evidence / ammunition….
that proves the 25 years…..
of, Murray Mibbery……
if,……
there isny a rebellious gun….
in the PLC board, to fire it all ?
Will the gallant efforts of the 4 Res:12 heroes…..
amount to, fenian futility on a grand scale ?
Will the, sleekit PLC have, out maneuvered…….
the last chance for justice – Res:12, by the recruitment…..
of, Mr Rodgers, who’s very presence at the club has….
killed any prospect of, the PLC facing any season ticket…
pressure from fans looking for justice ?
Looks like Warburtons defeat of Ronny…..
might well have got, Murray aff the hook !
Anyway,……
I knew an old Gypsie once, he had this saying….
“Never take gifts from the Greeks,……..bud.”
Hmmmmm…..never found out what he meant ?
very strange.
Anyway,….
…….off-oot.
Good morning friends.
Back to work for me today but grateful that I have a job to go back to and consequently, hopefully soon, another holiday to book and enjoy!
Morning
Be heading to Ibrox library later today. Will I need a passport?
There seems to be a fair amount of talk of us signing Bojan Krcic. I know he is only 26 or 27 but he does seem to have been around for a long time and to have never achieved much in his career- an eternally promising youngster a la Mark Burchill. Some decent coaches and clubs have tried with him but with no great success. Intriguing but not a possible signing I am too enthusiastic about.
Have a good week folks

We lost 2 in Blantyrelast week that you would have known
